DS wants to apply to US college/uni - advice needed

DS is considering applying for college/uni in the US, especially as your sports facilities are often miles better than here in the UK. For example as you will guess from picture below he is a swimmer and we regularly travel 250+ miles so that he can compete in an olympic size pool - the only decent one in the London area has been shut for about 2 years.

My question is do you have a central orgaisation you apply to, or do you apply to individual colleges/unis, and is there anywhere that I can find a list of sports specialists. Thanks

You apply to each individual school that interests you - and often there is an application fee so you would want to narrow it down.

In you case I imagine it would be good to research schools with swim programs -- of which I know nothing about - you could start out by googling and then go from there. These days there are boards on just about everything.

Each school has its own application, which means writing lots of entrance essays :scared1: This link lists a lot of the universities with swim teams. Hope it helps!
