How late can I add dining plan to our package?

I booked the 4/3 package for March 25th- April 1st but did not add the dining plan because this is the first time I will actually have to pay for it ,since the last two times we went we had Free Dining. We will probably add it on but how long do we have up until our arrival time? I think I remeber hearing 5 days before but not really sure. TIA

I think you just read my mind! I was just coming to post a similar thing. For those in the know.....I want to book the AP discount room/dining plan option for Tuesday night. Is it too late?

I believe it has to be at least 72 hours prior (3 days).

If I was you I would add it now. You do not have to pay for it until you check-in. That give you a little extra time to make up your mind. That is what we did last year with the Deluxe dining plan.

But if I add it now and then decide to drop it don't I have to pay a fee for that? Quick trip thrown together after a really TOUGH 7 months on the home front and I have 4 more weeks to come up with the extra $1000 for the five of us. I don't want to use tax refund for this so working had at selling on craigslist, overtime at work and cutting things out at home. Last two trips we had free dining and now can not imagine going and not enjoying sit down meals not on the plan. Wish me luck!!!

When we added it, we had to pay for it then. Also, if you wait until 2 weeks before or less, you have to pay a $10 fee (for what I don't know, and they won't tell you this either...)

For a package, you pay at 45 days out, not a check-in.

I just called to check on ADR's for a date I can not get and I asked when I had to add the dining plan on and they said at least 5 days out from your trip. I think I'll do it at least 10 days to be sure.

For our recent trip, I was able to add the DDP up to 72 hours prior to check-in - I added it Wednesay for a Saturday check-in. But, you may or may not have to pay a $10 fee to add it... you can probably find my post a while back complaining about this mysterious fee that none of the CMs I spoke with told me about or could explain...

Just asked this question last night when making a change to our reservation. The CM said that I needed to add it at least 10 days prior to arriving to avoid a $10 change fee (not sure if that's per person or per reservation). He also said that it cannot be added less than 72 hours prior to arrival.

I have been told by at least 5 different CM's that it is 72 hours to either add or remove. You can not suddenly change your mind at check-in. Once youadd it youn must pay for it if it within the 45 day mark. Good luck and have fun!
