I spoke to an online TA, and received a quote for me and my DD (age 6) on a Cat 3. He asked why did I need such a big room. he could get me a guaranteed Cat 4, and maybe get upgraded by the cruiseline.
any thoughts?

For just two people? Go with a Category 6.

If money isn't an issue, wouldn't it be nice to go 1st class?

I wouldn't count on an upgrade. If you want first class, book it.
(ps, can you adopt me/ there would be plenty of room in a Cat. 3 and I'm low maintence.)

I know that a 6yo won't care about the room. It would definitely be more for me, and I am only talking about a 4 day cruise.
It is a tough decision.

If the money is a non-issue, I would definitely go for it. You only live once:)

That was my thinking.

The cat 3's are great, there will be lots of room for your child to play, a table for her to draw at, 2 tv's so she can watch different things then you and also the video (im not sure if there is one in the cat 4's) so you can let her watch her favourite videos at night, and yours when she's in bed.
Also there's a tub, always a bonus:D
