Have any of you out there heard of this place (http://www.ams-liquidation.com/listings.aspx)?

We heard about it from a friend of ours yesterday and he told us that they had opened up one of their temporary stores (usually little over a month) in Lewisville, which is outside of Dallas. It's all Disney merchandise from the actual parks, not disneyonline. Are we the only people who've never heard of this?

We stocked up on tons of stuff that we wanted to buy on our last trip, but were trying to be careful not to over do our spending. Everything was 80% off the normal cost, so we got embroidered sweatshirts for like 22 bucks and tshirts for about 7-10. They even had other souviners, christmas ornaments, watches, collectables. Tons of stuff. Even Mickey ears! They update stock about every 7 days with new/more stuff. They stay until they sell out.

We're so stocked up on tshirts/sweatshirts, we won't have to buy anything at Disneyland on our next trip unless there's something new we just HAVE to have. :)

I'm such a happy camper right now.

Yes, I have heard of them. Yes, I even was able to take advantage of some of their sales before at a now closed location. I love their deals!

Corey is going to be in Texas next week. I wonder if I can get her to go by there one day/night this week? :hyper:

You wouldn't happen to know what their hours were would you?

We're lucky enough to be near 2 of them so we stop by when we're driving through the areas. Got some great D'land leather jackets a few years back at a great discount.

I MUST know...

DID THEY HAVE PINS????
If they did we will make the trek up there. Thanks for posting! This is the first time I have heard of a sale anywhere near us - they are usually just in Vegas and CA.

There is a thread on the BB about this store too. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2097689

IDK if there are any pins there, but there was a poster who said that there were no lanyards.

DH just got home from work. We are going to head over there. I'll let you know what all they have when we get back, then you can determine if it is worthwhile for Corey to attempt to go.

I'm not sure what the hours are, but I know they open at 10am and since it's in a strip mall, probably closes around 9pm I would think.

A handful of pins, but nothing really work making a trip out there just for that. They mainly had hats, tshirts, sweatshirts. Tons of kids sizes more then adults.

I asked the manager if they had more pins because we were interested in buying a large quantity. So he went in the back and brought out 4 BIG boxes full of pins. I think we bought maybe 9 designs? We are using them all for traders so we don't care that they are all duplicates.

You are right - when we walked in there were only about 12 pins left on the rack.

I couldn't believe all the Disney finantics there. Didn't realize that Dallas had so many rabid fans! I'm anxious to get there next Saturday and see what else they put out since they restock every 7 days. I'm just not sure my pocketbook can handle it.

I am so jealous. All the stores are on the left coast.

NO FAIR! HRMPPHH!!!

I guess I will have to go to the next Mary Kay seminar in Dallas, skip all the MK stuff and buy my way through this store. Then I can deduct my trip on my taxes! WoooHooo :thumbsup2

Jenn - It's a temp location. We'll only have that store for about a month, so don't make travel plans until you are sure the store will be here when you arrive! :)

Zeitzeuge - It was funny. While we were in the store yesterday DS siad "Look! It's Tony!" My friend Tony who used to work at the Disney Store at Valley View was coming in to shop, too! :rotfl2:
I also had a nice chat with some folks while we waited for them to unlock the doors. There was a small crowd gathering at about 10:50 AM.

I don't think we will drive up there again, but let me know if you see anything amazing during your future visits. :rolleyes1

Aren't those the same as the ones at the outlets off I-4 in Orlando? I think they're called Character Warehouse too.

From the looks of the website, I think some of them are called that.
They might be all that pretty inside, but if you don't mind digging around through boxes for park merchandise, it's a goldmine.

Have any of you out there heard of this place (http://www.ams-liquidation.com/listings.aspx)?

They usually open up a temporary store in the greater Seattle area once or twice a year. The merchandise varies greatly from store to store. Last year, the outlet in Burlington (north of Seattle) had a lot of paraphenalia (lots of pins, most 50-75% off, antenna toppers for a nickle, lots of ears, good collection of kitchenware) and a decent collection of adult clothes. Last month, the outlet at the SuperMall in Auburn was mostly children's clothes (husbear bought a pair of red mickey crocs for 1/2 off). According to the staff, it's pretty much overstock and damaged from the parks.

If you sign up to be on their email list, you'll get a 10% discount coupon when the store opens up in your area (depending of course on what "your area" is).

Corey picked up 2 jumbo pins, one framed Tinker Bell pin, 3 keepers, one trader, a PotC watch, a 2008 photo album, and a pair of red Crocs. Since there was other merchandise there, she picked up some novelty t-shirts to include as gifts for the family at some point this year. I'm pretty happy with the pins! The Mickey PotC jumbo is really nifty. :thumbsup2

Oops, I forgot about the Marie mug that she picked up for our friend Kitty that lives in FL.

Thanks for posting about this. She's kind of excited because she will be out there in TX again before the place closes. I am excited because that means more Disney stuff!

Glad she was able to pick you up some stuff. We're headed out there again this weekend to see if they've restocked with more stuff like they claim to do. We'll see!
