Star Wars Weekend?!

My roommate was telling me that when they have Star Wars weekend in May, they will have special auditions for cast members who want to be Star Wars characters in the parade. Does anyone know anything about this? I talked to a lady in cast services, but she didn't really know much about anything dealing in entertainment, so she couldn't really help.

Most likely the auditions are for people already in entertainment. Also, the auditions would have to be before May, since SWW start in May.

I just read that there's an open casting call TOMORROW for Star Wars weekend!

does anyone know what sort of things you have to do for an audition?!
I really really really wanna be a part of Star Wars weekend. But I don't really look like any of the girl characters, and I'm not short enough to be an ewok.

Auditions are today - my understanding is that they are only looking for face from outside entertainment, the others will come from within the character department.

Yeah they want look-alikes and people 3'0 - 5'0 to be ewoks. I don't really look like any SW characters...but I mean...most of the girls wear a lot of makeup, so almost anyone would pass.

I think I'm going to go anyway. I want to be part of Star Wars weekend so badly! I talked to cast services today. They said that CPs usually get rejected right off the bat =(

I want to go anyway...the worst that could happen is they can say no, and at least I will have tried.

Oh yeah. It's a blast! SWW is the best. I loved meeting the celebrities last summer.

I've never been to SWW so this will be a great experience! I'm thinking I'll just make my own costume and go, since I probably won't get a chance to audition, being a CP.


So even if your costume is like really legit, they'll still let you wear it? Because I take costuming *very* seriously =D

I'm sure they will. You should see some of the costumes guests wear to SWW.

I don't know who I should go for...I'd love to be Wessel (but brown hair/brown eyes)

Yes it's at DAK rehearsal building
auditions began at 9am and end at 7pm tonight

I don't know what to wear....I'm just wearing normal clothes! I have no idea what to expect

I don't even know why...they'll probably tell me I can't audition anyway since I'm a cp
Or I'll chicken out when I get there and not even do it =/
I wish I knew what to expect. Or had a better idea of what an audition would consist of :worried:

Hay, good luck with auditions. But even if you don't get a part, even the guests are part of things! A lot of people dress up, and they have so much you can do as a guest! SWW was a lot of fun! When I went there was a guy who seriously looked dead up like Anakin Skywalker in Episode III!!! He was taking pictures and signing autographs. I was standing in front of him in line for RRC and started talking, learned he was a guest! It's so fantastic!

Well I didn't get anything, but I'm really okay with it. I didn't have high hopes for it anyway. It would have been really really cool, but I really had the odds stacked against me (CP, not a char. performer, etc) But in reality I looked just as much like the Star Wars Characters as anyone else there, even the people who "moved on to the next level", so I don't have any qualms about trying again next time! I'm really proud of myself for doing it too, and that's important. It gave me a little bit of confidence to maybe try and audition for a character when/if I get the opportunity!

Anyway...I'm still going to go enjoy SWW because I have been looking forward to going to it since I got here! I may pick up a shift of two to work at Tattooine Traders if I can, and I'm already getting started on making a costume for it! I am really big into costuming, and have always wanted to make a Star Wars costume, but never had a good reason. Now I do...and I have every intention on being one of THOSE guests!! =D

Did anyone who auditioned happen to get a part?!
