I've booked a package at a moderate resort with a 40% off pin. Does anyone know if I am allowed to change to a different resort after the pin expires and still get the discount? I'm hoping that I can scrape the $ together for an upgrade, but can't afford it yet.:sad1:
Thanks for any information in advance!:)

Pins can not be used after expiration. Even if your changing an existing reservation.
I am going to try to change my dates around after the PIN expires. I have no choice. I currently reserved 14 nights in September but plan to alter those dates after the next school calendar is made, which won't be until the summer (well after the PIN has expired). I may even try to split the trip between 2 resorts, but again I can't do that until I see the next school calendar.

Have you tried calling your main school district office for the dates of school vacations? I did that once to find out the exact dates of Easter recess week and my district already knew for the next year. It's worth a try to call them ,and then maybe you can keep the reservation deal you have.

I have run into the same problem in booking our September trip as I dont know if the kids go back the last week of August or the first week of September--and school board has yet to come up with the calendar! AHHHH--dont they know that the pincodes expire and they need to decide so I can book too! :goodvibes

If you book a moderate or a deluxe, the deposit will be the same ($200) - The balance doesn't have to be paid in full until 45 days before you arrive. I am not sure when you are planning on going but maybe that helps?

What if I booked with 40% code for CL at the Poly. If I keep the same dates, but need to downgrade to garden view would I lookse my 40%?

I *think* it would depend on availability. If all the rooms they had available for the 40% off promo are booked at that point , then you wouldn't be able to downgrade and keep the 40% off.

What about adding dining? We're still playing with numbers and trying to decide if the regular dining plan + some oop would be a better deal or if we should upgrade to deluxe dining. Since we're not going until mid Dec, we haven't been putting a lot of thought into it yet. Do I need to decide prior to the pin expiration?

I was told when I booked with a 40% pin that I had until 3 days prior to arrival to add the dining plan. So you should be just fine:goodvibes

Perfect! Thanks! We'll have that decided on by the time our 90 days rolls around.

Keep in mind to add dining it still has to be a WDTC package so if you have a room only reserved it will have to be cancelled and refunded and your new package has to be paid in full but yes, it has to be done outside of 72 hours.
To the OP as long as the room is still available it doesnt matter if the pin has expired. Worst case scenario you have the CM have guest services do it for you

I should reiterate that. As long as the room is available WITH the pin code you can change it. Just because its available doesnt mean its available with the pin

We've got the standard dining plan booked. We're just still deciding on how many and which TS meals we want to do. We're not really CS kinda people, plus we're thinking about CRT, so deluxe might be a better deal for us. :thumbsup2

I recieved the 40% PIN code yesterday also and of course jumped on it. ;) The CM I talked to told me over and over again that I CAN chance the reservation up to 6 days prior to check in (made a room only) and can switch resorts/ roomtype and/or add tickets and dining untill that 6th day prior and still would get the 40% discount.
My experience has been that calling the phonenumber mentioned in the PIN offer instead of calling regular CRO works a lot better for me when dealing with a PIN. More knowledge, more flexibility it seems.
