:headache: Somewhere along the line during the last year (we booked in April of 2008) they changed our reservation from preffered to premium, pet loop. We've enjoyed loop 300, and now have to figure out what premium loop would be close to the dog park and boat launch for us! After calling and reading all our confirmations to them, including the one last September where they ACTUALLLY listed loop 300 in our reservation request, they told us there's no hope for preferred. We're so dissappointed!!! I have notes and confirmations dating back one year!!! GRRRRR!!! Anyway, I've got to "let it go" and not spoil our long awaited vacation.
In your experiences, what would the best loops be (and site numbers???) for Premium pet loops - with your own comfort station, etc. and close to the boat launch so we can wake to the whistle?? :cloud9: How I love that sound!:dance3: We also like being near the dog park. Thank you for letting me "vent". :grouphug:

The last thing posted on the loops is that 100-300 were not being redone and would stay preferred. As of this date they have not been touched. This means the 300 loop will remain a Preferred Pet. If you have 300 reserved and they honor it, I would leave at such.
I dont think they will charge Premium price for that loop..

The 500 loop is just across the road from the 300 loop. We stayed in the 500 loop last March and we really enjoyed it. I believe it is now a premium loop.

I think the problem is going to be that there are no longer enough preferred loops left to meet the needs, the 300 loop is the only preferred pet loop left as far as I can figure.
Having said that, when we went in December I had a year old ressie for a preferred site and loop 300 recorded on the confirmation. When we got there we were told that the 300 was full and we were assigned a site in the 700 (at preferred rate) We were not happy and arranged that we could move in a couple of days when a site opened in the 300. After we got set up and looked around we fell in love with the 700 loop. It has a great pet walk, not too far to the pet park, close to the settlement and nice big sites. We ended up not moving!
I have a preferred site booked for April and I have requested the 700 so we will see what happens.

Yes, Zakerdog, I think you "hit the nail on the head". Loop 300 is the only preferred pet loop and we always liked it. We reserved it, but I didn't notice until today that our confirmation says "premium" and not preferred. No, they're not going to honor the loop 300 request, Becky, even though they have the 300 loop noted on our September phone call with specific site requests. They said since our confirmation says Premium, premium it is. Oh well, maybe we'll find a new favorite loop? :confused3
For those of you that have stayed in 400 and 500, what are some good site numbers to request? We like large, open, grassy sites if possible (that's why we liked 300) and maybe one with a little sun?? Coming from Michigan, we LOVE the sunshine down there! :yay: We have two sites reserved - both class A's towing. Thank you!:woohoo:

We had site 423. It backed up to the road, as did most of the outside sites. If you are in 400 I'd ask for an interior site. I think 700 is a prem. pet loop. It is big and close to the marina, but farther away from the dog park. I did not pay attention to loop 500.

We had 525, 527 and 529 last March. Below are pictures of all three. They were about half way around the loop on the inside. They were easy for us to get in and out of.

We're in the 800 loop right now and are very happy with it. There is a huge doggie walk right behind our site... it's right across from Meadows and a quick ride (or walkable walk) to the marina. I'm very happy with it.:)

I will put in a 2nd vote for 800, for the reasons listed above. Nice dog walk, and we walked to the marina from there. It also has it's own comfort station, I think 700 shares one with another loop.
