I've always wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge at Christmas time. After this October trip, that's the next one I'm planning.

I'll vote for WL as well. I can't think of a better resort for the holidays!

We are planning a trip in 2004 to see the Christmas Decorations and even though we do not care for the location of the WL we are proboly going to end up staying there due to all of the great things I have heard about the WL at Christmas time.

I think that the Grand Floridian then the Animal Kingdom Lodge/Wilderness Lodge have the best decorations. :)

We didn't care for the Christmas decorations at CBR when we stayed there in December of 2000. There was just something wrong with "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" being played on Calypso(sp?) drums. Overall, the resort was nice, just didn't have the Christmassy feel.

Looking forward to our December 2002 trip to see the decorations at PO-R.

As others have told you GF and WL are beautiful at Christmas. It just depends on if you like a Victorian type Christmas or a western type Christmas. WL has a large tree in the lobby and decorations made with stag horns, berries, and ribbons. There are also swags of greenery hanging everywhere. GF has a lot of floral decorations. Swags of garland are also hung everywhere. A lot of mauve and blue is used. GF also sets up a large gingerbread house which is a must see. It is large enough for a CM to work inside and sell gingerbread items.

The Wilderness Lodge.......Sitting in a rocking chair in front of the fire place sipping hot chocolate; a large Christmas tree glowing as bright as all the childrens starry-eyes as they go through the lobby staring at the tree.
This has to be one of the best Resorts for Christmas, as least we thought so!! GF would be my next choice.

I'm partial to the Coronado Springs during the holidays. The South American influences makes it feel as if you are vacationing in a foreign country. Plus, the tropical climate of Florida works well with the experience.

The Boardwalk Inn was beautiful at Christmas a few years ago. They had a train set with gingerbread buildings, candy trees, etc. They also had carolers in the lobby in the evenings. It was beautiful. It was also close to the Dolphin, where they had Santa and a huge tree.

WL is probably the prettiest to me, but I also love the Y&B and their gingerbread houses. Those things are impressive! Also, FW is one of the most festive places at Christmas because, not only do you have isney's fabulous decorations, but many campsites also decorate. It can be a really neat little light show going through the camping loops @ night.
