I can't remember...so someone please remind me.

In the rooms you book using points, are there offer cards for a certain percentage off your next vacation if you book before checking out? I know I've seen it in other rooms I've stayed in not using points, but couldn't remember about the DVC resorts.

Thanks!

Even if the card is there, it wouldn't refer to a point stay. Also, when we were there in December there was a special about purchases, and we did call DVC about the terms, and as an already member, the terms of the "sale" weren't as good as for a new person. It was in the fine print somewhere. I don't remember the particulars at all.

I'd love 3 free nights or maybe free dining. :lmao:

Sorry, I should have been more specific...
I know it doesn't pertain to any stays on points. I was just hoping I would have one in the room so I can make a reservation for a non-point stay while there to save some extra money.

The offer was in my room at SSR last month.

Absolutely we are!!! It was +3 when I left for work this morning. I think it has warmed to about +10 right now. But, it's obviously been worse. We had a stretch in January when we were double-digits below zero for almost 90 hours. But, we have all four seasons, and that's a blessing!!!

We have all 4 seasons in Texas. Hot & Dry Season, Hot & Humid Season, Flood Season and Cedar Pollen Allergy Season. We're in Cedar Pollen Allergy season right now.

Yikes... In VA, we think we are short changed with a short spring, short summer, short fall, and a long winter. Glad you have a positive feeling about your situation. We're going to move south when we retire. :goodvibes

There was a card in our room at VWL last Spring offering special rates for certain dates if you booked before checking out ... I think they call them "bounceback" offers.

Sorry to keep this off topic:
I visited my sister in Austin last March- I think we hit all three seasons in a 4 day period... Here in Northern Cali we have: Dry, Dry, Dry, Wet. We go months without seeing a cloud in the sky...

At BCV in Jan there was an offer for 40% off cash reservations if you booked before you left. Not sure if that was in the villas or regular resorts, I didn't pay much attention to it other then it was in a cool shape of a pocket watch like the White Rabbit's in AIW.

So, can we actually book a cash bounce back offer if we are staying at the resort on points?

Yes, they don't care as long as you call from within the resort...

There was an offer in our room (while staying on points) last October in Boardwalk Villa Suite. Needed to book prior to check out. Also in our Grand Villa on our Thanksgiving vacation.

Back on topic, my parents had a card each time for their 3 2009 trips they have made already! (I'm jealous; 6 nights were even on my DPs from BLT!!! But, i didn't have the vacation time from work so I was very happy to keep them in family and see them used...) Stays were:

Their Wildenress Lodge hotel room in early January
SSR studio in late January + AKV hotel room (same trip; 2 + 1 nights)
SSR studio in early Feb.

They booked a Wilderness Lodge standard view hotel room for ~$168/night + tax for late August on one of the bounceback offers. I didn't personally see the cards so I can't give any more details...

We stayed in BWV this month and there was a 40% off card in our room. Didn't look any closer at it, though....
