Hi all my name is lizet my baby sister is graduating from high school in 2010. I know it might be early but I need some ideas on where to stay? and what to do?

I went to my first trip to WDW in Feb. 11th through the 15th and I stayed in SSR I loved the resort it's beautiful and peaceful. I enjoyed it but I don't want her to walk to much.

Extra info my sis has one leg shorter than the other one well they are the same length but for some reason when she was 7yrs old she began saying her knees hurt when we took her to the doctor they found out she was going to need operation after she was done growing to pull her leg away from her pelvis. Some how her leg is stuck close to her pelvis. She is a good girl we do not allow anything less than a high C in our family luckily she has all A's one C in grades. So she deserves the trip I was thinking it was either this or a cruise. We both are disney and mickey lovers. I have a wheel chair for her for when she gets tired.

I was interested in looking for a resort where you can view the fireworks at night or something where there is entertainment close by something fun and exciting.

I am 22yrs old I know I know what took me so long to go to disney? To be honest I really have no idea I have always wanted to go to disney but I think the one thing that can always stop someone is money.

Well thanks to all that read this. Thanks for all your help in advance.:)

Oh PS my sister is the first one to graduate on time. My brother and I graduated in August just a couple of months after the real graduation but we did I am class of 05 and my bro is class of 06 I am very proud of us but we decided we where not going to let our little sister make the same mistakes we did. She has not one but two siblings to look after her and protect her.:grouphug:

Well, I know that the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, and Contemporary Resort all have good views of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks.
For your sister's convenience, the Grand Floridian has a monorail that runs right through the lobby of the hotel that goes to the Magic Kingdom. Of course, you can always utlize the buses that go from each resort to all the theme parks, Downtown Disney, and the water parks.

It's really sweet that you're planning this for your sister! She sounds really deserving of it and it'll be a great trip with your family! :goodvibes

Thanks I will look into those resorts and the Grand Floridian sounds interesting. I dont know what else to do I know that what ever my plans are I have to take the wheel chair just as a back up she walks fine with her legs but she can't stand walking for a very long time.

What kind of Character Meals are there?

hkrox

There are a lot of fun character meals. I've only been to Cape May which is in the Beach Club. The only character meal they have is breakfast. And the characters they have are Minnie, Goofy, Chip, and Dale. There they are all dressed in beach clothes.

Then there is Chef Mickey's which is in the Contemporary Resort. This I would say is the most popular one so you have to reserve far in advance. The character's there are Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald. There they are all in chef clothes. They have character breakfasts and dinners, but breakfast is much more affordable.

I've heard that another great one is the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom. It is the one and only dining with Winnie the Pooh and friends. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A tip for this place is to get reservations for an early breakfast because then you can get a picture in front of Cinderella's castle without people in the background because you can get into the Magic Kingdom before opening.

Another one is Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch. It is in the Polynesian resort. You can eat breakfast with Lilo and Stitch.

One more main one is Cinderella's Royal Table. It is located inside Cinderella's castle in the Magic Kingdom. Reservations are required and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Your meal also comes with a souvenir photo of your party.

I hope this helped. Here is the link to a website that has even more meals all over WDW. http://www.wdwinfo.com/Just_for_kids/character_dining.cfm Have a great time!

when we stayed at the boardwalk in we had a wonderful view of the fireworks at epcot.
but if you want view of fireworks at MK one of the monorail resorts (grand floridian, contemporary, polynesian) are the best.
as for character meals the 1900 park fair (i think thats what its called) at the grand floridian is great. i believe the characters are mary poppins, the mad hatter, alice (from alice in wonderland), winnie the pooh, meg (i think from hercules but im not sure cause i have never seen it), and a few others i cant remember.
i hope i could help! :upsidedow

Yeah thanks but besides all the breakfast lunch and dinner shows/ character meals.

what else can I do?
something for kids?
something for grown ups?
Activities?

I am trying to create something special for my sister since she is graduating.
I don't have any ideas:confused3 the only one I know of is a special basket mickey ears and some other items.

What are the top hotels to stay at? What are your favorites?

I stayed at SSr and loved it but everything in the hotel looked far you either have to walk or wait for the bus. I stayed at Congress Park I loved it the room is nice the view was nice too. I just didn't like the fact that it was so far from the Springs which is where the Arcade was at the restaurants and the lobby. It was quite and I felt very relaxed.

I am interested in other options.

What is there to do in other hotels resorts etc?
I heard something about a photo shoot I would like to know more.
Any information available please just let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I stayed in the French Quarter and loved it. It's a moderate resort so if your looking for a more affordable one, consider this. The value ones might not be what your looking for because they look kind of young.

I had spoken to my sister about the plans and we went to check out the different resorts and hotels and i think she was interested in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Has anyone been there?

DramaGirl
03-24-2009, 03:11 PM
I absolutely love Animal Kingdom Lodge. I stayed there in January. It's beautiful, the theming and details are amazing, and you can see all these African animals just outside your balcony. The only thing I don't like about AKL is that it's so far from the other parks (other than Animal Kingdom of course) but I'd say it's worth it. Not more than 15 minutes away from anything I'm pretty sure... though I could be wrong- could be 5 or 20 minutes... lol

lizet313
03-26-2009, 09:47 AM
lol yeah I saw that too I am debating because my sister can get carried away sometimes although she is 17yrs am afraid she would want to jump the balcony to see them up close :scared1:.

This is my plan we will go in March of 2010 it will be to celebrate her graduation but it will also serve for my mom's purpose you see I kind of showed her the Flower and Garden festival pics from epcot and she went crazy:rotfl: she loves flowers and gardens. So it runs from middle of March through the end of May. So it will be my moms and sisters first time so I would want to fit both of their interest.

I would recommend Contemproary. It has MK views and you dont have to walk a lot because everything is right there.

My favorite character meal is at the Crystal Palace. I've never been there for breakfast but the lunch and dinner buffets are wonderful. The character interaction is great and the food is amaing. Its my favorite restaurant in all of disney

lizet313
04-08-2009, 10:48 AM
Oh yes please do It will be helpful to get ideas. Thanks I was thinking about Crystal Palace too. I want to do so many things but I have to slow the pace down so she can spend the full day at each park.

Yes I did want to ask about that. Sorry I am at work and my thoughts get me carried away lol :rotfl2: I think of something but sometimes my fingers are not as fast as my mind.

We are going to do the dining plan I went on my trip in Feb. and I had dinner reservations but I didn't make them on time so I got what ever was left for those days. That is why I am trying to organize myself alittle more and may be start a pre trip report for my first time too.

I am probably going to go next yr in March for Spring Break or in May after her graduation.

Hi, I stayed at the Beach Club and it was amazing. It's a little pricy so if you are not looking for that then sorry! But the pool is AMAZING. Sand bottom! Huge water Slide! Lazy River! It's so cool! And you walk right into Epcot. For dinner and stuff, I really recommend Tepan Edo in Japan in Epcot. It was so good! Also, I reallly loved Cape May (in the beach club) for breakfast and dinner! I just liked the dinner because they had AMAZING mussels! So good! I hope this helped!

Yes it does I have to talk it over with my family I am the planner but I want to make sure everyone is in the same page when it comes down to the dinners and resorts. My mom says am too crazy and that I just want to waste money she loves disney but she tells me if you just want to get rid of the money give it to me to lower down the house rent. I think its funny because I just want to have a family vacation. When we were little we didnt get to spend a lot of time together and now that everyone works; we can have the opportunity. I went to Disney by myself and now that I kind of got the feel for it I want them to join me in the next adventure.

I took my mom to her first vacation In sept. 2008 I took her to Cancun she had a great time except one little detail that it was just me and mom. My other brothers and sister could not go and then with hurricane IKE in houston she was more overwhelmed. She loved every minute of our vacation except she kept on thinking of everyone here in houston and the bills and the storm.. She kept putting obstacles for her to not actually enjoy her self who can blame her she is a first class mom and never been really apart from her kids in yrs.

My older brother 25 father of a 7yr boy and 1yr girl me 22 brother 20 sister 17. We are pretty much all grown up but in her eyes we are just tiny kids even the one with kids:rotfl2:. Hope you understand.

I am really trying to make this trip an unforgettable trip ever where my family had a great time and really enjoyed them selves I am just trying to make everyone's dream come true in Disney.:cloud9::lovestruc

When can I book a March trip?

Now.
You can book wayyyy in advance!
Where are you guys going to stay?
If you need any help on restaurants, I'm your girl!
I've eaten at about every one of them!

lizet313
04-09-2009, 11:03 AM
I've tried to book a package for March and its not available. My mom doesn't want to spend too much money. She rather stay at POP or All star movies - sports - or music. I want to add the park tickets dining and the Magic Express bus.

Restaurant oh please do help I wanted to do at least two character meals and the rest well I don't know I have eaten at Nine Tails for dinner in Epcot Tony's for Lunch in Magic Kingdom 50's prime for Dinner in Hollywood studios and Tusker's House for Lunch in Animal Kingdom. No character meals :sad1.

I think we are going to stay for March 13th through the 20th or 21st 7 full days :cool1: :dance3. Mom wants to have a free day where she can explore outside the park go to Boardwalk Downtown Disney maybe other resorts. She likes to explore she loves scenary flowers and stuff like that. If dad goes he probably would want to go fishing or something. My sis is in love with Mickey so I wanted her to probably get a character meal and mom loves Snow White and I well I have two favorite couples Mickey & Minnie and Cinderella and Prince Charmin. :cloud9: My bro likes the rides and shows.

I know so many different activities 7 days dont sound like enough time :rotfl2:. I also wanted to go to Sea world or Discovery Cove Aquatica maybe. I dont know yet.

You can see why I have a hard time trying to figure out the activities for my family. :rotfl:

I dont know what else I should be asking:confused3

Uh I do want to create a special little gift basket for my sis. So far I have ideas I was thinking about buying a mickey sorceror plush and the hat so she can put on with maybe an autograph book. My sister is stuck with Fantasmic since I brought pictures and a video from when I went. I also started creating a scrapbook/ planner for her. I did buy one for mom hers is going to be about the Flower & Garden Festival. My bro and dad well they are not into that so I'm not even going to try.

that's nice

I'll try to help with any questions you have... although I've only been to Disney 3 times. I don't know it all!:rotfl: I will re-read through your thread to see if there are any specific questions you might have that weren't answered.:goodvibes

So it runs from middle of March through the end of May. So it will be my moms and sisters first time so I would want to fit both of their interest.

I would aim for the second week of March. most of the flowers will be out and ready to look at. The crowds should be less. I'm not sure when easter is, but I wouldn't go anytime with in 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. Crowds will be insane.

I've only stayed at Pop, but it is very affordable. And you can see fireworks if you walk to the back side of the 50's buldings . Epcot and MK's. Then you have more money to do other things.

Something special would be to to the keys to the kingdom tour with your sister, but there is alot of walking with it. Also the segway tours are supposed to be really cool.
I suggest getting a book like the unoffical guideor passporters to learn all there is. The unofficaly guides goes on and on about there touring plans, but thats not for me, so I would block that part out of my brain and just read about the different activities. We can have a plan like a touring plan, when we never know for sure what time my little one will wake up. But it still gives alot of valuable info.

Thanks Jenseib  we will be going in the end of the second week I think we are going to be in a crowded place:crowded: but we will manage The Keys to The Kingdom sounds great I will see about the pricing and the walk. Money for other things :idea: sounds great. Maybe I wont tell mom :rolleyes1 so she won't think negative about it. She says Disney is alot of money.

I second this. We've been to Disney the last 2 years the first week in March. While this year was busier than last year, it still wasn't bad. They are just starting to get ready for the festival during the 1st week. I can imagine that by the end of the 2nd week most of the flowers would be out. We were also in Disney this past October 19-24 and it was REALLY busy. We are thinking about the 2nd week in March next year as well. :goodvibes

Last year the first week of March was the ultimate. the slowest it's ever been for me when I have gone. LOL! I think becuase of when Easter fell last year, it made things out of whack and many spring breaks for colleges were earlier.

I think you know my opinions on character dining too. LOL! :lmao: We love it. I guess you should also see what characters your family is most interested in seeing. That may help narrow down where to go.
We love MK. but my mom,dad and sister went in Feb and that was their least favorite park. They said it was too much for kids. I disagree, but everyone has different interests.
Passporters makes a good guide. And the unofficial guide is good too, though I haven't had time to read the whole thing. The only thing I don't like about the UG is that it talks about their toruing plans alot, and we don't do a strict plan. And they suggest being there for rope drop, something we can never do.
But all the other info is great, and I ignored the touring plan talk. But I know some follow it to a T.

Birnbaum has great pictures, but even though they are supposed to be the official guide, I have found not all the info is accurate. They seem to be way off on the prices of things too at times. I think UG had the most accurate of prices.

Flying Carpet - Jungle Cruise - (One of the mountains the one with the rail road) - Haunted Mansion - Phillermagic - Dumbo - Pooh ride - Peterpan - all the parades except for Spectromagic. Wishes - Pirates of the Caribbean - Dream along with mickey - Buzz Lightyear

Hollywood Studios

3D puppet show - Stars Wars - Tower of Terror - Beauty and the Beast show - Little mermaid show - Rockin Roller Coaster - Fantasmic - the great movie ride

Animal Kingdom

Kilamanjaro Safari - It's tough to be a bug - Oasis exhibits - Flights of Wonder - The yeti ride - Lion King show - Finding Nemo show - Jungle Trek ( It was a very hot day and we where there for only a couple of hours)

Went to the Pool stayed at SSR.

Hey Lizet, hope this helps:

My favorite parks are:
Magic Kingdom is definately number one because of all the different themes and rides. Epcot is my second favorite, because of all the countries and test track and mission space. It's a tie between animal kingdom and MGM for me. They are both great.

For rides, you def. need to go on Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom. Great Ride. Also, hit the three mountains in MK. Test track and mission space in Epcot, and RRR and TOT in MGM.

For restaurants, my favorite is Tepan Edo in Japan in Epcot. yummy. Also, Sci Fi in MGM. Another one is Cape May Cafe for dinner. Wonderful seafood! Cosmic Rays and Pizzafari are my favorite CS. Also, Raglan Road in DTD is sooooooo good! Please go there!!!!!!

We also wanted to check out Tusker House Donald Safari Breakfast in AK. I've read that this is a good one. Plus if you can get a 8:00am ressie, you can be done around 9:00 and jump right on the safari. :goodvibes

I went to Tusker House for Lunch there where no Characters. The food is great they have kids buffet and adults steak, calamari, i think chicken or beef, fruit, salads, oh and the desserts umm derserts right on the middle.

Yes definitely I now your opinion and that's nice opinions of character meals :rotfl2: thanks for sharing your info with everyone. I loved MK it had everything and my fav the CASTLE:cloud9: oh I just love that castle. Thanks for the info of the UG I think I will get that one.

I love the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World

it gives so much info and has reader comments:lmao:

LOL Thanks I will certainly look into that I think i can go to Border's and pick up a few right? Or do I have to order online?

My mom and I where arguing yesterday :sad2: because of Disney she says I am just into spending money and that I don't pay attention at the other things that are important. I told her this is important and that my sister Janet deserves this. After everything she has gone through it's time for her and the whole family to go on a trip together but she sees a quote of more than $500.00 and she freaks out:scared1: I understand she is a mom:laundy: and has to make sure we have everything she derserves but where is the excitement. I just don't know what to say so she can at least think about it:confused3. Sorry to vent this out like that its just am frustrated :headache: So anyways I will come back with more questions later. I can see where your mom is coming from. I have a brother and sister and when we were kids we never went to Disney. It was too expensive for my parents. We did go on vacations... mostly camping. It is nice to get away and spend time together as a family.

That being said there are cheaper options than staying in the parks. Hotels are hurting right now. You can get cheaper rooms now. If your whole family is going, look into staying offsite and rent a 2/3BR condo. I've seen prices for those around $99 a night. You can eat breakfast there and save tons of $$$$.

Is there a way you can work extra or cut back on spending? Like no coffee or no eating out can help keep money in your pocket. Put $2-5 a day into a Disney Fund. Sell unwanted items that you don't use anymore. These are just a few ideas!:goodvibes

I understand my mom too. It's just am a disney freak and I would love to see the family go all together. You know the condo doesn't sound like a bad idea I might look into that it's just then we are going to have to rent a car and gas and etc. I will have to do my research.

Thanks for your ideas they are great except I don't drink coffee :rotfl: so i can't cut that I hardly go out to eat. I was thinking about a garage sale. I have tried creating a Disney fund or a savings fund and my sister sneaks in and takes it for lunch money :rotfl2: I can't blame her though high school is expensive and she needs to eat lol. I have opened a savings account and have rounded up about $300.00 but then I was really sick and needed to pay my doctor bills it just looks like saving money is not made for me :confused3 I will keep trying I am thinking about opening an account where I have no access to it so I won't be tempted.

I hope it works. :thumbsup2

Ok so I have discovered that if I put aside $400.00 every month I can save up to $2,400.00 by Dec. and $1,200 from January to March :cool1:. That is a total of $3,600 I told my bro and my mom that I just need them to save about $1,200.00 each to make the trip more special and worth it. So I finally convinced mom to say yes to the trip:dance3:. My brother is saying yes he just needs to find out if his job will give him the time off. My dad is kind of deciding he says he will have no fun and he will miss his soccer games when he is there. So I am almost there on convincing the whole family in going yes I am very excited.

Now for more help.

Trying to loose weight!!!

I was just wondering if any of you have tried loosing weight to go to Disney in a better shape and over all a better health.

My mom is trying to loose weight by March 2010 is her goal. She has Asthma but it is under control and she also has Thyroids it is harder for her to loose weight.

I was wondering if you want to loose weight what would you do?
What activities?
Diet?
Pills?

I have no idea how to help her out and wanted to know your opinions. I do know I want to help my mom and support her in loosing weight. She says that if she looses at least 40lbs that will be her wish come true:cloud9:.

Thanks for stopping by.

SOUNDS GOOD TO ME!!!!!!!!

Did you figure out how many other people are going too or is it just you, sis, bro, mom, dad? 5 people total or will there be more of you? That could determine where to stay and for how long. If you are able to save a little more money when you have it that might help you reach your goal. Because there might be a few months where you need some extra $$$ for unforeseen expenses. :)

As far as more family members I don't know yet. I have my immidiate family fo right now. I am sure it will be March 13, 2010 through March 20, 2010. It will be Spring Break for my sister and my mom (she is a custodian at a school so when students are on break so is she:).) 7 days of fun :cool1:. I showed my mom the hotels and we received out planning DVD from Disney this weekend and after viewing it she decided it will be better to stay at either All Star Movies or Pop Century because of the price. She does how ever want to explore the rest of the Resorts and Hotels. She wants a day put aside to just sight see and relax. Yes it is true that I might have to use the money for unforseen expenses but that is why my mom and brother are also saving money too and we will have a free credit card so we can use just incase something happens. I will follow your advice and save alittle more when I have the chance. Thanks:hug:

As for losing weight, cutting portions will help and cut out the garbage. And tell her to walk every day. starting at a mile and then going up as she can. I've lost 30 some since last Aug, and thats basically what I did. Stay away from pills, they never work.

Wow. I must say I'm disappointed about this. Too many people must have been taken advantage of and complained. It is sad that a better option couldn't of been reached before it came to a total ban.:sad2:

I understand how hard it is to save money -- especially for a trip to WDW. It's hard to do Disney in an economical way, but it can be done. You just have to be resourceful and do your research. Depending on how many people wind up coming with you, I'd suggest either renting a house/condo off-site or looking into renting DVC points. There is a board all about that here (http://disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29).

As for losing weight, I would suggest cutting back the calories you eat and doing some form of exercise. I started counting calories and was amazed how big of a difference it made! I eat about 1600 calories a day and have averaged losing just about 1.5-2 lbs a week! I used a free online site to help me. It's located here (http://caloriecount.about.com/). I also have asthma that really makes it difficult to run a lot. So, I mostly just do a lot of walking and some elliptical stuff. I wish your Mom good luck!!! :goodvibes

I have a canon rebel XTi. I am thinking I will be upgrading to a 50d though.
I would say go with Nikon or Canon. SLR's can be costly though. Once you get the body, you still need lenses. Typically if you get one with as lens, those lenses aren't the greatest. At least for the Rebel. I almost never use the one I got with my camera and wish I bought the body only and bought better lenses right away. A really good lens can cost mega money. I don't have any of those. LOL!

Finally decided where to eat.

Chef Mickey breakfast
Cinderella's Gala Feast 1900 Park Fare Dinner
Donald's Safari Breakfast
Garden Grill either Lunch or Dinner
Ohana for dinner

and Tony's Town Square if there is enough time and space.

My question is how does it work with the Dining Plan?

I would like to know how many Table servings it will be or how do we need to pay for this.

With the dining plan you get 1 table service, 1 counter service and 1 snack per person per night you stay. So if you stay 3 nights you get 3 of each per person in your room. I think the cost is just under $40 a day per person, but for us it worked out very good and we always made out. (kids are $10 a day)

Ok Yes we decided to stay in property and rent a car for a day or two. March 13 - 20 or 21 not sure when we coming back. We will be leaving on my b-day :cool1: if my dad goes he wants to go to the beach I know the closest one is about 1hr and half away :scared1: so renting a car for a day or two will be ok.

I think I will get the Disney Dining Plan Plus Dining:

1 Table-Service meal including entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage or one full buffet
1 Quick Serve meal of either a complete Combo Meal or one entree with one dessert (Lunch or Dinner) or one juice (Breakfast)
1 Snack choice of a frozen novelty ice cream, popsicle or fruit bar, single serving grab bag of Frito Lay's chips, one 20 oz. bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dansani Water, single piece of whole fruit, medium fountain soft drink or apple juice

We will be ther 6 or 7 full days :woohoo: This will be our longest Vacation ever well our first vacation together too.

Now All of these restaurants are 1 TS or 1 CS or will I have to pay extra or separated?

I just read you PTR and am excited that your family is totally on board with going! It took a while to convince my hubby that we really need to go to Disney and that it's not just for little kids! So now he's excited to go, he just won't know what hit him until we get there! :cool1:
It seems like the planning is coming together well! Have you picked out a few hotels? We're staying at the Boardwalk Villas (super excited! ) and we rented from a DVC member (seems much cheaper!). Hey! I currently live in Plano (north of Dallas) but I'm originally from the Dallas area. What part of Houston do you live in? I've been there tons of times to visit friends and to go the renaissance faire there!
The prices for the 2010 season should be available. The best bet would probably be to check out the DVC Planning site (I attached the link). You can always ask people questions about renting, cost, etc. That's what I did and it was pretty easy. Most DVC resorts have either a studio (sleeps 4), a 1-bedroom (sleeps 4-5) or 2-bedroom (sleeps 8?). I've spent hours on the DIS boards :surfweb: and I swear I learn something new every time! :lmao:
If I can help out in any way, please let me know! We're going in August, so I'll be sure to let you know about restaurants, rides, shows, etc when we get back! Good luck!!

I do that all the time it's ok. I think I understood lol :rotfl2: well as for now I think that is all the planning I can do. I have to wait until Dec. to post the hours and to call to make reservations. I will try to update things that happen in my life while I wait. I guess I don't know what else you write in a pre trip report it is my first one.

Best Places to meet Characters like Mickey and the gang, Princesses, Rafiki, Mulan, Mary Poppins, Alice and her friends, Pinocchio and some others?

I know I can check in the park where the characters will be and what time. I was just wondering where have you seen them.

Besides the Character Meals.

Also What is a must do when you visit WDW?

Hey! I don't have all the facts about character meets, but I remember a few pointers from reading all the TRs on the DISboards. :surfweb:
Epcot will sometimes have different folks at WS. For example, Mulan and company are sometimes caught near China. Snow White and maybe some of the dwarfs have been seen near Germany. I also heard that Mary Poppins has been seen in the U.K.
Magic Kingdom should have a lot of characters out and about. I've heard that Alice in Wonderland (along with others from the film) can be seen near the Mad Tea Party ride. And Buzz Light Year is next to his ride.
If I find any other tips for character meetings, I'll let ya know! Good luck with your planning! I'm getting close to making our ADRs!!!!

Just started reading after I followed the link in your post on my report. Haven't read everything yet but I wanted to comment on the dining plan snack credits- there is a lot of stuff avaible that isn't listed in that little snippet you copied. I was surprised when I saw the full list. But now I wish I had 20 snack credits, LOL.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2067447

There is a Toontown kids section in MK where there are characters, I think it's called Toontown Fair? Maybe that's changed. Also Ariel's grotto. I've read that Pinnochio is sometimes in Italy of Epcot. I saw Eeyore one day just walking around the area between Epcot World Showcase and Future World. On our first trip, first hour in MK we saw Goofy and Pluto in Tomorrowland outside of the Lunching Pad.

So what do you do when you arrive to WDW?

You can do whatever your heart desires. I always like to go to a park. But some people like to relax at the resort or do a evening at DTD. We have always arrived when MK has evening EMH so we stay late there.

Id stay at the All Star Movies. I think the atmosphere there is great and its a bit more disney themed then the Pop

Usually after we arrive in disney, my family likes to walk around our resort, get something to eat in the resort and just relax. It can be overwhealming going to a park on the first day IMO

Thanks for the great advice. I think my family is deciding that it will be better to just get there unpack settle down and maybe go have dinner at Ohana if I get the ADR's I want. Maybe sit around the window and watch the Fireworks :cloud9:. (Tip from that's nice) As for the hotel still don't know. Why can't Dec. get here already :confused3 or better yet why can't we make oour reservations once we know instead of waiting for the 90day mark. I know I am being very inpatient.:sad2: I will slow down. :rolleyes1

Well since I have read in other reports that in my PTR I can write about what is happening in my life. I have some news my sister is performing at school today. She will be dancing Tango :yay: Also my cousin will be performing as the BEAST in Beauty and the Beast. Along with some elem. kids too. So excited to see them tonight I hope to take a lot of pictures and post them later.

I just thought I should share this. Yesterday I was asked by the president of a dance club if I wanted to be interviewed by here and talk about a very special dear friend of mine that past away in 2004. She said that their performance was going to be in memory of her and the money was going to be donated to a cancer foundation. I declined the interview but I did provide information about her. This friend and I knew each other from Elem. We grew up together same schools our moms knew each other and everything. In 2003-2004 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She stopped going to school to be hospitalized her appearance changed because of Chemo.

The thing that I remember is how everyone found out when she past away. It was Feb. 11, 2004 I was in class with a couple of friends just before lunch time and making plans about visiting her for Valentine's Day to cheer her up. Well as soon as we finished talking about it when all of a suddenn everyone receives a txt message saying she past away. The whole class got silenced. We couldn't believe it we didn't want to accept it. Tears coming down everyones eyes we could not explain the feelings thoughts going through our eyes. When we left the class and walked outside you could tell who was friends with her through the silence the tears everything. It was so sad:sad1:. Everyone left school that day to go help out with something in the hospital with her family.

She was only 16yrs old. Her birthday was March 16 just a month away to her bday. (my bday is 3 days before hers:sad1:.)

Well anyways I did help her out getting pictures talking about her directed her to people that new her. That is all I got for today as far as news goes. I just had to get that of my chest. Thanks for reading.

Okay, honey, I'm here! First of all, let me tell you that I am so sorry for your loss. When I was in high school two of my best friends died--one was killed in a motorcycling accident and one was killed by her step father. Years later, (I won't say how many) I think of them. In my mind Jenny and Jennifer are eternally 15. They never grow old for me, and it makes me nostalgic, because both were bright girls with wonderful futures in front of them. Time does ease the pain of loss, though, and there will be a time that you won't think of the tragedy of it all, but the happy memories.

Now, for your planning. My first trip to Disney was at POP Century and I loved the resort! It is nice, very family-oriented, and you can feel the Disney magic all around you.

Then, I also have to say your niece and nephew are the cutest little things!

I hope to hear more of your plans!

lizet313
05-17-2009, 02:41 AM
Thanks I believe she is always looking after the people she loves.

I hope to have some types of news in regards of the plans or more questions at least.

I have been very busy these past days my sisters has been awarded certificates for exceeding Community Service expectations , Academic Award and I think National Tech something I forgot the last one. I am sure she deserves it now her progress report came all A's and 2 C's it's ok because they are high C's just expect them to be B's by the time Report Cards come out.

I just love my niece and nephew they look more like my side of the family than hers. They just don't look alike. LOL I once had people ask me if they are really are brother and sister and I say yes they look confused. LOL It's ok They sure have the same attitude and short temper lol

jenseib
05-18-2009, 09:15 AM
LOL! I had that with my older two.
when Michael was boarn he was chubby and had balck hair sticking straight up. He looked like a sumo wrestler. The nurses would come in and take a look aat him and wonder if he really was mine, and his dad has reddish blonde hair, so he didn't "fit" in. His dads side is italian though, so thats where he got that dark hair. He sadly looks exactly like his dad now, only with darker hair.

Paige has a different dad and looks exactly like him, but as she is getting older she does look more like me too now, but she is blonde and blue eyed, and people would look at them together and think they couldn't possible be brother and sister. They do not resemble each other in any way shape or form. LOL!

lizet313
05-18-2009, 11:31 AM
:rotfl2: LOL I wonder how my niece and nephew would look in ten years  LOL:rotfl2: I knew someone would understand lol. People always say the looks skip a generation or so. I have an uncle that has blue eyes and none of his kids have those types of eyes and the grand child does :rotfl:.

So we have talked about food and my restaurant choices...I think we spoke about the rides too.

Ok well the performance from yesterday was fantastic I loved it. The show started with details of Breast Cancer and then it lead up to showing videos of her family members I almost cried I was just hugging my friend while I was seeing this video and everyone sharing their memories with her. Then they opened the show there where different dances like Hip Hop. Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Breakdancing, Tango, Modern, and some other I can't remember. All the money they got from selling tickets will be given to the Rose Foundation to assist with Breast Cancer. I was very happy with the outcome. Heidy's Family was very moved by this action the Ritmo Latino Club did.

Hope the camera comes today. It wil ltake quite awhile to learn how to use it, but to start out I would just use Auto. But you get better pcitures if you learn manual.

Thanks I was crazy taking pics of them yesterday I think they enjoyed the attention I gave them.

My nephew was driving his bike and sliding with it he felt so cool doing that infront of the camera. My niece was showing off her walking she would hold for a pic and kept moving. I just love them both.:cloud9: Today I will go to the store so if I am not home to late I will try to upload some of the pics.

Ok this weekend was hectic for me.

I had gradutations Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Amazing how you never really know how big your family is until you have celebrations lol :rotfl: I saw so many aunt's, uncle's, cousins, nieces and nephews. WOW but I had a lot of fun that's for sure.

Well today I have a busy day it is the end of month at my work and well need to prepare the reports and numbers so hopefully I can get out of work early I have been here since 6am. Usually mondays I get off around 7pm. So wish me luck. I hope to finish at least by 4 or 5 pm.

Check in with everyone soon. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

I was teased with my family because I had the Camera with me at all time and well they started calling Paparatze :rotfl2: My family is just not used to high technology. I told them I was no where near being a professional hope to be there one day :cloud9:. Well anyways Thanks for reading.

I think I need prayers for my family but specially my little cousin.

She is only 11yrs old she will soon be 12 on Sunday :) the thing is that she was taken to the hospital yesterday:sad1: and put in ICU because she has high Sugar. The doctors my aunt took her too said they couldn't find anything wrong. this happened two days ago and last night was when she collapsed. Right now she is being held in ICU the doctors said that she could of died.

The doctor's then told my aunt that this could of been avoided if detected on time.

I feel so sad right now.

Sorry I just had to tell someone.

I think it is working because I was just informed that they will be taking her out of ICU and putting her in a Reg. Rm. :cool1: at least it is a good start of the day. My mom is visiting her right now as we speak and I talked to her over the phone. She sounds so weak but what got me excited is that she said she wanted me to take her to Chuck E Cheese on Sunday for her bday  I told her she needs to feel better and get out of the hospital in order to take her she was excited.:woohoo:

Thanks I am glad too. My cousin is just a little overwhelmed with everything she looks so tired and weak and they have to be poking her finger 4 times a day plus the medication. We all talk to her and tell her that is to make her feel better and so that she won't have to end up in the hospital. She has her hands with bruises from where she had the those needles stuck in her at the hospital. I am just happy she is alive:dance3:

Sorry I have been missing a lot of PTR & TR I have been busy a lot.

The relationship I had for 2yrs is over we broke up monday June 8. So my good friends have been keeping me busy. It has been working because it kind of does not bother me anymore. I know it is part of life and I have accepted it and I am moving on.

More sad news my best friend has her mom in the hospital she has cancer :sad1: and on top of that they found some infection in her abdomin too. So she keeps me busy and I have been keeping her busy too so she won't be depressed so much. We help each other out we go see her everyday almost. She went to the hospital on Friday. Hopefully gets out on Wednesday. Crossing fingers.

I will have so many meeting this week at work too. Today meeting at 1-2 tomorrow at 12-1 Thursday 12-4 Friday 12-1. So I will be super busy this weekend too.

Do not know when I will be able to get back to Dis:sad1:

Hopefully everyone else is having a good day.:flower3:
