Hello and Welcome!
I finally decided I should get to work on my Pre Trip report for our vacation this May. I'll start with telling you a little bit about us. For those of who aren't familiar with my family, feel free to check out one of my past trip reports.
First there is me Nichole, the DW and mom. I love Disney and travel. Planning is the most fun but can get me stressed a bit too. I love to plan the perfect vacation and make sure my kids get to experience the most fun possible. Sometimes everything doesn't go as planned though :headache: I spend way too much time on DIS when I should be doing other things  . But I'm addicted to reading friends trip reports. My first trip to Disney was when I was 6 years old. This will be my 9th trip to Disney. My favorite character is :tinker:Tink .
My husband of 10 years is Tommy. He likes Disney but doesn't love it. He has fun when we get there but doesn't want anything to do with the planning. He also doesn't want to hear me talk constantly about Disney. That is just another reason why I spend time on DIS. He is a great dad and husband. Not sure he has a favorite character, maybe ::MickeyMo , most like Grumpy though ;) . This will be his 7th trip to Disney!
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/Disney2006216n.jpg
Then there is my DD 8, Kaylee she will be 9 by time we go on this trip though. She loves Disney and is a great student and spends lots of time at the Dance Studio since she has been taking dance since she was 3. She collects pins and loves to get autograph's and hairwraps on vacation. Her favorite resort is Poly (like me) but she is constantly asking why we are not staying there again :headache: . She is most like Tink :tinker:. Some of her other favorite things are Webkinz, High School Musical, Jonas Brothers, playing Wii and American Girl dolls/ books. We took Kaylee to Disney last March just to celebrate her 8th Birthday. She got tons of pixie dust! This will be her 7th trip also.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/DisneyOctober08626.jpg
Finally we have my DS4 Thomas, who is turning 5 on our trip. Disney is his favorite place in the world, he can't understand why we can't live there :) . Thomas can't wait to go back to Disney since he got sick on our October trip and missed out a bit. He is looking forward to celebrating his Bday with ::MickeyMo Mickey! That is his favorite character but he loves most of them. He can be very shy with new people and situations. He doesn't love Preschool like most kids do. Some of his favorite things are riding his bike, playing Wii, Cars, trucks, and Webkinz. This Thomas' 5th trip to Disney!

My kids look thrilled :rolleyes1 ,don't they??

After our last trip in October of 2008. Tom said no more trips until 2010 for a number of reasons. After the ride home even I needed a break from Disney. But after about a month I was already wishing to go back. October was fun but seems like the last 2 years it rained alot. Then the new promotion came out. I already knew I was going to take Thomas for His Birthday, it was just a matter of when. Tom didn't really have any vacation time until July of 2009. No way was I willing to go in July with the crowds and heat.
So Tom agreed after some badgering on our part. That we could just take a short 5-6 night trip this May over Thomas' 5th Birthday. He would of course have to take it without pay :sad2: . The good part is that we have 2 Free Airline tickets and just need to buy two more for the kids :yay: . It does stink that we have to drive 3 hours west to Nashville and by then we could be almost halfway to Disney in our minivan. But we are tired of driving so looks like we are flying for sure!
I decided that maybe renting points from a DVC memeber would be a good idea. So I inquired about this back in January. Found someone on here that had rented before and was easy to work with. The only places available were Saratoga Springs and Old Key West. I was hoping for Beach Club or Animal Kingdom though. After some thining it over we picked Saratoga Springs. It is a very pretty place but not as themed as some of my favorite resorts. But I'm still looking foward to staying there. Thomas was dissapointed we were not staying at CBR again, he was really wanting to try a new Pirate room. If I had known how much he wanted to stay there I probably would have just booked that to make him happy.
A few weeks after we made our Saratoga reservation, I was looking at flights :rolleyes1 . I thought that flying the night before might be better so we don't have to stay in Nashville overnight. Instead well stay in Disney  . Most likely it will be Pop or ASMu since we won't even arrive until 8 PM.
So there you have it. Our dates are May 16th - May 21st at Saratoga Springs! Kaylee will be missing the last week of school which at first she was happy to be going then changed her mind and is sad about the fun week. Well be back just in time for her Studios recital rehearsals. Sadly well miss Star Wars :yoda: :darth: :chewy: :ewok: Weekend, which both my kids have started to like a lot.
My ADR's are already made and my itinerary is a work in progress since I have 2 Itineraries and am having trouble decided because some of the days are rated better than others on Tour Guide Mike. Maybe I can post both of the schedules and you all can vote for which you think is better.
Coming up: Dining reservations and Itinerary help!!

Heck yeah I'm with you girl! I can't wait to see all your new D60 pics!!! I'm waiting!!! As soon as it warms up again I'm doing some at the beach. Ya know...I was studying all of the cams. The 60 is just as good and the 300 in many ways. The 300 is built better and the 90 has recording capabilities but overall they're pretty much the same. The 60 is not as "tough built" as the others but it should still last many years as long as you take care of it and keep it cleaned. I think the Olympus just needed a cleaning but I wanted a different brand. :rotfl2: We were looking at lenses last night and some of them were $10,000! That's crazy for one lens! Add your prom pics on the PTR if ya have them around....would love to see those too. I am going to locate my old stuff later tonight.

You're going to have such a great time. I'm glad you get to stay somewhere new. I look forward to hearing about all of your plans.:yay:

It would be great if he got the first ride on Goofys Barnstormer with Goofy!! I bet he would be so happy! Let's hope he doesn't get sick this time!!
Plans are coming along! Less than 10 months now! Guests are buying airfare. Got my Minnie Bride Ears! :rotfl: having fun...until the bill comes in!

So far I love the new camera! Thanks for all your help with that. We have to take care of it because we charged it :guilty: on best Buy. I'll have to take the kids outside to get some pics. I have just been taking a few inside to learn how to use it. Wow $1000 is crazy for one lens!! Even if you photographer. Sorry no prom pics. My BF at the time didn't want to go because he hated dancing :sad2:, so we skipped our prom. I should have found someone else to go with instead .

Hi Monica. glad you are here. I posted on your wall about my pain in the butt friend Genya. I don't care about the other ones comment because she is totally kidding. But that one is constantly being jealous because she is a
miserable B. I shouldn't have even bothered going off on her.
I can't believe Thomas will be turning 5 already :sad2: on this trip and Kaylee will be 9 in March. I have never been in May, but am really looking forward to Flower & Garden at Epcot. I have heard it's a great time to go though. I have to figure out my itinerary. One plan includes a Dis Meet :confused3 and the other plan has better park days according to TGM . Wish a few other Dis friends were going ;).

Thomas is very excited for this trip. Unfortunately they told us back in October that Goofy doesn't ride Barnstormer anymore since he was moved to Frontier land to make room for the fairies. Your plans sound great! You must have Minnie bride ears :thumbsup2. The bill is the only part that stinks.

I could use some help from you all picking which Itineray sounds better or more relaxing. I have the worst time making up my mind and if ADR's need to be moved or changed better to do that sooner. I asked my DH and he is not much help. The only problem with plan A is that those are not the better Park days as far as crowds. I will get to do a DIS Meet at Epcot and the kids don't have to wait a whole other day to see Mickey and go to a park.
Plan B were my original Plans but then the first day is a waterpark and HDD for dinner. As far as best park days this schedule fits into that 100%.
Please vote for which set of plans you would choose for your family. Thanks

personally i'd go with plan B simply because i would want a less stressful day for check in. I'd hate to move from Pop to Saratoga Springs, then rush to Epcot, and not be able to get the room "settled" until that evening when everyone is tired and grumpy.

Hi there! I just noticed your PTR. We're going to be at WDW during the same time. Looks like your plan A and my plan have a lot in common so in my very biased opinion Plan A looks good...:goodvibes
We are flying out of BNA saturday morning and having dinner at Le Cellier on Sunday. I just wish return flights would come down to the outbound flight price so I can book.

That is what I thought too, but I really want to make the DIS Meet and also would have to rebook Hoop Dee Doo again . I do agree 100 5 with you though about the room. If I do go with Plan B I might even be able to get over to Poly for breakfast . Tommy of course likes Plan A better :headache:.

:cool1: that you will be there the same time as us. We are also going to fly out on Saturday. Not sure which time yet as I have to discuss with DH which will work best with work schedule. Looks like 4:40 or 1:40 PM for us. Too bad we can't have and airport DIS meet. What time does your flight leave? Are you going to the 3 PM meet at Epcot?? Yes the return flight is not cheap yet, another reason I'm still waiting to book. Our Le Cellier ressie is 4:10 on Sunday, what time is yours?

if it will be Plan A then I have to consider staying at SSR for the first night too. It would be worth the extra $$ to make the trip easier.

I do okay at touring, it's the family that side tracks me alot with wanting more breaks . I'm sure I'm the only one whp really wants to do the Dis Meet. Tom is game for it but the kids at used to breaks at that time of day. It sounds too fun to meet up with some other DIssers for a bit. Plan B is the easier one though.

It would be cool to have an airport DIS meet. We are planning on one of the early morning flights. We live about 1 hour north of BNA. We would like to take the 8:35 but it may be the 6:30 just for the price factor. We are planning on attending the DIS meet. Our ressie at Le Cellier is for 5:45. I have a flight credit that expires on 2/24 so I better get something done. Hopefully they will let me use it for a May flight :confused3

The earliest we will be flying out will 11:40 but most likely the last flight of the day :sad2:. not sure about the credit since I have one that had to used by February also and it wouldn't let me book a May flight. Let me know though, maybe if I call they will let me use it :confused3. That would certainly save a lot more $$$.

Thanks Tammy, I too favor B for the fact that those are according to the best park days and it will be easier for touring and making sure we get stuff done. I can't tolerate crowds. But I my kids will get to see Mickey a day sooner and I can go to the DIS Meet.

I have to get DH to fix my link today :). I'm looking forward to meeting you too. I'm probably not going to go to R & C though since we have a 4:00 ressie for Le Cellier. Thomas was very antsy about and hour inot that meal last time. I might have to let them run around in the maze or something before we go to dinner.

A friend of mine that flies SWA a lot told me that if you call they will extend the credit for $50. That's still a lot cheaper than a roundtrip flight so I'm going to give it a go. I will let you know how it works out.

We are doing the regular Disney Dining Plan. I was not kind of torn between Hoop Dee Doo and going back to California Grill. Hoop is supposed to fun so that is why I picked that. When I look at You Tube videos of it though :confused3 it looks kind of lame to me. Am I missing something?

A friend of mine that flies SWA a lot told me that if you call they will extend the credit for $50. That's still a lot cheaper than a roundtrip flight so I'm going to give it a go. I will let you know how it works out.
Thank you for telling me!! Mine expires on the 28th. I have to call and see. let me know how it goes, worth it for $50.

Thanks Cathy,
See that is what I think too. It seems less hurried and according to Unofficial guide and TGM those are ideal parks to boot. Otherwise it wouldn't matter at all to me, I would just be thrilled to be able to go to the DIS Meet. But if I don't go then :confused3 I'm sure I will regret it! This is so hard, I have to go think about this itinerary stuff so more.

Sounds like you have some great dining plans! Le Cellier is a great way to kick off a trip. And as much as I know you are not thrilled about Chef Mickey's, it is a fun place to celebrate a birthday!
We did Hoop Dee Doo a few years back and we liked it. We didn't get a great seat because we were stuck behind a poll so that didn't help, but the show was very cute. I have a tendency to think things like that are cheesy but even I got a kick out of it. Something fun to try once!

Hello joining in our your pre trip report. I will be in Disney for the first time from May 12-19.
I am having the same problem. I have a schedule all put together, which I like, but i am trying to change it around so I can go to the Dis meet in epcot as well.

Glad to know that even I might like HDD. Sorry you were stcuk behind a pole. I'm sure it will be fun no matter what. My kids favorite place is Chef Mickey's and we celebrated DD's 8th Bday there last March. On our trip in October my friend supposedly :rolleyes1saw a huge roach under her table. That is why I hesitate to go back there, though I didn't see it. If I had then I wouldn't even consider it . We loved Le cellier last time we went, so that is a must do for us :).

Hi there :) and welcome!!. I know, it's hard to choose between a really good schedule that will work great for your family and one that has a DIs Meet. I did move 2 of my ADR's around so that we could attend. So most likley it will be Plan A for us. The problem is that we only have 4 park days left on our hoppers. So 1 day has to be waterpark & Hoop Dee Doo and not one of the four parks. Since we are only going 5 days it works out great. Now if we were doing the 4/3 deal then I would certainly hop over to the DIS Meet!! I think I will hop over to your trippie now.

I'm about 90% toward plan A, if we can stay at Saratoga the first night and combine our reservations then getting to Epcot in the morning will be no problem at all. Again it won't be the top choice since weekends of Flower & garden are usually busy, but I can make it work :goodvibes. This will be my frist big Dis Meet. I have met others dissers before at the parks, usually by coincidence though.
I called Southwest and they gave me a number to call about the credit I have that is about to expire. She thinks it is $50 per persons on the original reservation :sad2:, which totally stinks since my credit is only $17 more than that. I'll have to call on Monday for sure.

Nichole - your pre-trip moves along so fast, it's hard to keep up! I've been out of commission for a couple of days due to sickness and I can see you are already leaning towards Plan A....but I think you will be fine with either one.
I personally hate to think of the more crowded parks - no matter how good you tour the parks, having the highest rated ones can make it so much easier! But in comparing your two choices, it's really just your first two days that would be affected, right? I guess as long as you go into those 2 days aware of the fact that it might be more difficult to get stuff done, you won't get too frustrated. Neither one of the first two days choices are the absolute WORST choice, KWIM? I think you will be fine either way.
I'm so helpful, aren't I? Re-reading that makes no sense to me, so feel free to ignore....

Hi Nichole
I found you!!
I am totally voting for plan A for selfish reasons-Dis Meet. I also changed things around to go. I try and look at like they are only projections-who knows if more or less people will come. And if you know exactly what you want to see and where it is you will probably get it down. And you can always change ur mind. Like the previous poster said-that was probably not that helpful-sorry. Can't wait for the rest of ur plans. I am currently re reading ur report from Oct-good stuff.

Hi Sara,
Sorry you have sick :sad2:, hope you are feeling better now. I'm glad your back because I really wanted your opinion. On Plan A neither park is the worst choice, it's that my original plans had the absolute best park choices and that does make things so much easier, especially since we only have 5 days to tour 4 parks and 1 waterpark. Both plans have their good and bad points. I guess my decision is going to come down to to if we can book Saratoga with a cash reservation the first evening and not have to change rooms the next day. Then again I might not be able to get Hoop Dee Doo revue back on Sunday night.
I thought about booking Poly for the 1st night, then we could maybe have drinks in the lounge or grab breakfast before you leave. But it might be too many sad faces when we have to switch the next day :sad2: to SSR.

Hi Mary,
Nice to see you here! Thanks for reading :goodvibes.
That is why it's hard of course I want to make it to the meet, it will be so fun. The website I got the projections from is very accurate usually, I have used his plans before on my other trips. But like I said those are not the worst choices for parks either. I won't be able to change my mimd because of Dining plans will be hard or impossible to switch. Right now my dining is booked for Plan A :). I have to get my husband to look at the plans and give me input :rolleyes1 wish me luck with that!

As much as I would like that....:rolleyes1 It probably would be hard to make your kids stay there for one night and then leave! :sad2: Plus costly, for just one night, you know?
I'd say if your plans are booked already with Plan A, stick with that, go to the DIS meet, and have fun! I'm sure it will be great - and you would probably kick yourself if you missed it and then got back and read all these great things about everyone meeting!! :guilty:
I have to go back and re-read it, but is there anyway you could keep the water park on the 1st day and you just leave ahead of Tom to go to the DISmeet alone? Or would he not want to be at the waterpark alone with 2 kids? Or is it that that would be your only Epcot day? I'm sorry...I really need to go back and re-read, like I said I've been a little  so my head is kind of in a fog! I'll be back with (hopefully) more constructive advice! Ha!

Your right but the idea of being in a more crowded park doesn't appeal to me. I guess it messes with one of my other park days too. On the other website the HS on Monday does have a warning ;) and MK PM is going to be packed. Leaving the waterpark and going to another park is not possible because we only have 4 days left on our hoppers. That is why I planned 4 park days and I waterpark/ dinner show day. Works great that I don't have to buy them again until next time. Thanks so much for your help. It's just so hard going against best parks.

I have been watching this airfare for the last 2 weeks and if anything it has went up in price :sad2:. The good news is that we will taking and earlier flight then I had planned and will arrive in Orlando by 3PM on Saturday. At least that gives the kids some pool time and maybe we can go to DTD for shopping and dinner.

BTW, your "friend" on FB made me so mad. I had to stand up for you. I'm sorry she made you feel so bad. I think you need to tell her buh bye! Lifes to short to have friends who don't love Disney!!!:thumbsup2

I'm having so much trouble with this itinerary. I think my family likes Plan A better because it gets them to the Epcot and HS sooner. But if it's going to be much busier than it makes sense to go to Blizzard Beach first day.
The friend on FB is just so ignorant. Tom couldn't beleive how I ripped her a new one . She is always makes rude comments. Now I can be sarcastic don't get me wrong, but this girl can be so nasty. She complains about money (mind you she drives and Infiniti and her hubby makes $150K) and how bored she is at least 4 times a day on FB. I feel like telling her to get a job :lmao:. My other friend called me a dork but she is the one I went on the Grand Gathering with and she plans too. She is just being funny. I started :rotfl: when I saw all the capital letters in your reply. You are so right! She has been so very sweet lately after I told her what I thought.

I'm definitely going to DTD but not sure if I should make a ressie at T Rex or just have a quiet dinner at Turf Club at SSR. Looks like we are staying at Saratoga the first night too, so we can boat right over after dinner. my friend that just got back last week took her kids to T Rex for dinner and they made the stuffed dinosaurs too. The kids liked it but she said it was very loud in there and crowded. This was presidents week though :goodvibes.

Sorry i don't have much to update right now. My dog has been sick again, she is 15 and has some problems. The next 2 weeks are going to be awful busy. I have been trying to see if the airfare goes down. it's really high right now and with the airport being 3 hours away well just have to see. I'm still hoping that we fly but if it doesn't go down at all the nwe might drive. I also haven't decided if I should book Saratoga or just stick with the value resort. If we fly then I', going to book Saratoga since it will just be easier and hopefully we won't have to switch rooms.
Other things going on this week, Tom has had a cold for over a week and now I do too and I'm so run down. Also I changed my thyroid medication this week. But my doctor has me aggravated because she fought me on switching to the natural meds. Then she gave me such a low dose, probably to prove me wrong on if it works :headache:. At least I'm not a Royal B on this medication so that to me is a plus :). Kaylee has dance everyday this week to make up some snow days. We have to work a Girl Scout cookie booth this weekend :headache: and then Sunday is my nephews Birthday. My brother lives and hour away from us. Next week Kaylee has a school field trip in Chattanooga (2 hours away) and I have to drive there and am taking Thomas too since it's the aquarium I'm sure he will love it! Then next weekend my SIL and I are driving the girls to Atlanta and going to American Girl Place for lunch and shopping. It will be kind of and early Bday celebration for Kaylee since her Birthday is March 15, but we will be having a family party at Grandma's house. It's a three hour drive. I will be in the car constantly the next 2 weeks. As soon as I know more on what our plans are I will update.

I called SWA and extended my credit for six months for $50. There were three on our itinerary and it was only $50. I'm still watching the airfare also. That is way too much to do on top of the everyday normal jobs, running kids. But hopefully I'll manage. Of course yesterday Thomas had a playdate that I had to cut short after 90 minutes because of the dog being sick. Brandy is doing better. Oh wow it sounds like you will be so busy! I hope you feel better and everything goes smoothly with all of your events and driving :goodvibes

Good deal! Every little bit does help when you're headed to WDW. That will give you a little more time to watch the prices and pray that they fall. :rotfl:
::yes:: exactly!
All caught up on this one now! Sounds like you have a crazy few weeks coming up - yikes! I hope everyone starts to feel better soon.
Good luck getting a flight - I'm another checking constantly - but my trip isn't until October.
I would vote for plan A just for the dis meet itself. If the kids need a rest - maybe Tom can take them back and you can do the dismeet.
Hi Joy,
Thanks :goodvibes. Looks like I'm going with Plan A. Well I can't really send them back to the room because they want to do Lady Bug release at 1PM and then we have a dinner ressie at Le Cellier at 4PM. We willp robably just leave after dinner. It will just make it hard with check in and getting settled in the room. But if we end up staying at SSR the first night too and they don't nake us move then it will work out great!
Oh wow it sounds like you will be so busy! I hope you feel better and everything goes smoothly with all of your events and driving :goodvibes

Sorry to read you're not feeling all that great. Looking forward to hearing more of your plans.:thumbsup2

Hello,
I think I was on page 3 of this thread :goodvibes so checking in to say hello and that I'm working on some of my plans today. I decided to just go for Plan A and definitely attend the DIS meet :woohoo: too. Hopefully my kids aren't too grumpy by that time in the afternoon and are able to make the meet and early dinner at Le Cellier.
Tomorrow my SIL and I are taking Kaylee and my niece to American Girl Place. It's like and early Birthday celebration for Kaylee. She will turn 9 on the 15th but we are just having a family party at Grandma's house and also having our St. Patricks day dinner that day too. I will take lots of pics and post them on Monday. Also will have our tenative park plans up so if I forget anything my DIS friends can let me know. Have a great weekend :goodvibes.

Thanks. There are no AGP near Nashville. Chicago might be the closest to you. Atlanta is actually just a boutique & Bistro and not a Place like NYC or Chicago. I think they also have a Place in LA now too.
That is great you are going to make the Dismeet! Good luck with the plans, can't wait to see what you decide to do. And have fun at American Girl Place!! :)

Hi Kathy :goodvibes nice to see you over here. I love the NYC AG Place! We took Kaylee there for her 5th Birthday when we lived in NJ. But now Atlanta is much closer. So happy you posted about Tricia ;) I'm hoping Kaylee is the same way. But I have seen a lot less doll playtime lately :sad2:. I'm going to show her your post though. I took lots of pics and will post them in a bit.

Happy Birthday to Kaylee!
Thanks Jennifer. Pedicures are fun too. Kaylee loves getting them ;) I've created a monster. Her Birthday is the 15th but we are having a family party that day and not doing a big party with 25- 30 kids :scared1: from school, dance and the neighborhood :worship:.
Ooohh, American girl place, sounds great!!!
I'm still trying to figure out if I can rearrange my plans for the dismeet too.
Hopefully you can rearrange your plans. I understand though as it was so hard for me going against the best park days. I had to switch 2 days around to make it work for the DIS meet and unfortunately well be dealing with more crowded parks both of those days. But I'm trying not to worry much since I'm pretty good at touring the parks. I can't when it is very crowded though ;).

Thanks. Your DD will NYC AG Place. It's awesome, we took Kaylee when she turned 5. I will post a mini trippie for our day trip :). Keep in Mind though NYC store is wayyyy bigger and busier too.
I hope you had a great time at AG!

American Girl Boutique & Bistro Atlanta
As most of you know, this has been a crazy week with school field trips to the Aquarium, Parent day at Dance studio, kids friends Birthday parties, and a day trip to American Girl Boutique & Bistro in Atlanta.
Kaylee is turning nine years old :sad2: next Sunday. She was undecided if she wanted to have either a Sleep over Party with her some of her BF's or a big party with 30 kids :headache: between school, dance, cousins and neighbors. I was dreading that choice but if she really wanted the big party I would have to happily obliged. Well since she will 9 I'm sure there is only another year or two left of her loving American Girl dolls. So I offered her a day trip to American Girl with her cousin or and overnight trip with the 4 of us to AG and to the Aquarium and World of Coke in Atlanta. Kaylee thought it over and decided she really wanted to have a girls day out with me, her Aunt and cousin Chelsea instead of a party or weekend trip. She wants to have a Slumber party next year now and practically has it planned. On her actual Birthday we are just having a family Birthday at Grandma's since we usually have a St. Patricks day dinner at her house anyway.
I didn't realize that it was spring ahead this weekend when we made the plans. So we had to be up extra early for the 3 hour drive. I thought about making it into and overnight trip so we could do all the other fun stuff in Atlanta but my brother can be such a jerk sometimes and doesn't like the idea of his wife being gone that long :rolleyes1can you say extremely insecure. I have no idea why :confused3 but enogh about that. I just wanted the girls to have a fun day together. My niece (just turned 11) is getting to the age were playing with dolls is not really her thing so this was a good time for the trip before it is way too boring for her.
I bought Kaylee a few matching doll outfits for Christmas so she picked one to wear to the store. My neice isn't a girly girl and wanted nothing to do with this kind of dressing up.
We arrived at North Point Mall and the American Girl store right when it opened at 11AM. Kaylee was beyond excited!

When you walk you from outside your right in the book store section which both girls love the AG books.

Next we got on line for the Doll hair salon. You can also have your doll's ears pierced here for $14. DN wanted her Kirsten dolls hair done and Kaylee wanted to get her Mia dolls ears pierced. The hair do's are $10-$20 each, most of them are $20. They use really cute ribbons and barrettes and stuff on the dolls though. It's too fun, if I lived closer I would love to have a job like this when Thomas starts full time school.

Continued:
The girls were starving by now and wanted to have lunch even though our reservation wasn't until noon. But it was 11:45 so we figured we would be able to check in early since it wasn't busy yet. We were able to be seated right away which was excellent! I made sure the waitress knew we were there to celebrate Kaylee's birthday even though it was next weekend. She gave Kaylee a birthday sticker to wear. She didn't really want to wear it because she saw the girl a few tables away having Happy Birthday sung loudly to here in the restaurant. Needless to say she was horrified and didn't want to be embarrassed too. She even tried to wear my sweatshirt to hide from anyone noticing her. Kaylee loves to embarrass as some of you may know ;) so I finally get to enjoy seeing her squirm. Usually this kind of attention doesn't bother her but since her very shy cousin was there maybe that was why. Notice the dolls get menu's too, but they used to have place settings for dolls. I guess they don't do that anymore. The girls get to keep the doll menu's and the cookie cutter napkin rings in the pic.

I even took food porn pics  and yes people did look at me strange, not like I care. We got to order Appetizers and main course. Desserts were extra ordered from the dessert bar. I was going to order Kaylee one of their really cute cakes but she opted for the dessert bar instead.
Kaylee ordered the veggie platter.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace084.jpg
DN and I had the warm pretzel bread, which was yummy!
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace085.jpg
SIL ordered the Bread w/ cheese fondue which she said was just okay.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace086.jpg
DN had Pizza for lunch, which she loved and actually finished.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace088.jpg
Kay had chicken fingers with Mac & Cheese, which she loved too.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace087.jpg
SIL and I played it safe and ordered a burger, which was good. For some reason I have no picture but I'm sure I took one of mine at least. Anyway the food was much better than the food we had in NYC 4 years before. I loved the NYC AG place a lot more but would have rather had lunch elsewhere. Hopefully it has improved since then.
After they took our lunch plates the waitresses brought Kaylee out and ice cream sundae and we all sang Happy Birthday to her. She was so embarrassed and kind of slid down in her chair. I told the waitress after as I didn't want her to think Kay was being rude.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace089.jpg
Next up was dessert which was excellent. Kaylee wanted the ice cream chocolate chip cookie sandwich. Does she think she is at MK or something. She finished it too.

SIL and I shared the warm chocolate cake.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace091.jpg
DN loved her chocolate milkshake but was too stuffed to drink much of it.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace092.jpg
After lunch we shopped for a bit. I was also thrilled there was a Macy's at this mall . I miss Macy's so much since moving to TN because we don't have them here. Only Dillards which I'm not crazy about. We spent about another hour at the American Girl Store though first.
Kaylee loved the 2009 Doll of the year Chrissa after seeing the movie. I think she is cute but Kaylee's has 5 dolls so I didn't think she would want anymore. I thought she wanted Rockband 2 for Wii for her Birthday. She couldn't decide partly because of how busy she is with 4 dance classes and girl scouts, she doesn't get much playtime except on weekends. She also really wants to try out for Dance Ensemble this May since she will be 9 finally. I told her if she gets another doll then I better seeing her playing with them more often. She was back and forth on which doll she wanted. She also loved Molly and Elizabeth which are historic doll. I tried to sway her towards Julie which is my personal favorite since she is a 70's doll and too cute.

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace072.jpg
DN bought a few things for her dolls too. She bought a doll outfit and 1 of the new dogs. Well finally Kaylee decided she didn't want to leave the store and drive home without the doll she really came all the way here for. Chrissa was the doll she had to have, along with her pet Llama starburst. I told her happy Birthday and that she shouldn't look for any more gifts from me and her daddy on her Bday because she is done.
Tired from a day of shopping at AG Place.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/3rdgradeAGPlace095.jpg
We had an uneventful ride home. When we got home Thomas had his own fun day with daddy. They went out and bought a T-Ball set and played outside with it. I signed Thomas up for TBall which starts next month.

I agree :rotfl:Kaylee has 6 AG Dolls now, so everyone has a BFF. Not sure if she is going to be bring one to Disney or not? She brought Mia to NJ last summer. But she has never brought one to Disney in all trips :confused3 maybe she is afraid to have it lost or stolen. But I did buy her that backpack that has straps and a pocket for the doll. Hey Nichole! I don't think I've posted yet on your PTR but here I am!
First off, love the AG Place review and pics! I so want to take Samantha there someday soon before she gets too old for it. She has the Julie doll and I have Samantha (who has been discontinued) on backorder. I hope it comes through for her birthday. We just watched the Chrissa movie also so of course she is asking for that for her birthday.
Too funny about the birthday options! We've had almost identical conversations in our house in regards to Sam's birthday in May. Decisions, decisions!
Your Disney plans sound great! Should be a nice time of year for your trip. As you know, we will be there on Saturday and Sunday nights. We will definitely need to arrange a meet!

Those dolls are so amazing, aren't they? I love the clothes and could play with them forever. Emily is almost 6 and already has 2 plus a bitty baby and I think I play with them more than her right now. She likes to change their clothes every once in a while and push them around in the strollers and that's about it. I think in another year or so we will try out the one in NYC on a visit to see my Dad who lives up there. Of course, we could try out the one in Atlanta on a trip to see my sister.....:confused3 Decisions, decisions....:goodvibes

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for reading and glad you are here. Sam has the Julie doll, oh I just love that doll. Kay didn't want her because she said she looks too much like Kailey. I asked her if I could bring a doll to lunch too and she said i was crazy :lmao:. So the Samantha is still on backorder? I was wondering if maybe it would come earlier. The Chrissa doll is cute but if I were choosing between her and Samantha then I would choose Samantha. I really don't like Chrissa's hair much.
So what are Sam's Birthday choices? I know your taking her to Disney just before. Yes I definately want to meet up. Just email me or message me on FB when you know your plans.
Sounds like a fun girls day out!

Thanks for the mini-tr!
Sara
Thanks Sara,
I guess you could go to either store. Both are fun but I like NYC better just because it's much bigger and really nice. I'm sure your girls would love it! Oh no, you don't want to turn Emily into a spoiled monster like Kaylee :guilty:. I play with the dolls too  yes more than Kaylee probably. Your welcome, it was fun. Well except people staring at the crazy lady who takes pics of her food :rotfl2:.

DD got Mia for Christmas and I just ordered her Chrissa for her Easter basket. She loves the Chrissa movie and is watching it every day when she gets home from pre-k!

Hi! Chimining in to say what a sweet trippie! Love the AG update! Sad to say when my daughter turned 10, :cutie: AG was over for her. I was real upset to see this as we had invested in so much of AG. Her Samantha doll is now stuffed in her closet somewhere:headache: . I tell her she should still take care of her, maybe take her to the AG hospital to have her limbs tightened :scared1: . Maybe next time we are in the city, we can do that. Enjoy this year because after 10 (double digits), they think they are too old, and kinda know more than us...:rolleyes1

Hi there! Are you back from your trip already? That went by fast! I have to hop over to your trippie to see if you posted pics yet :goodvibes. If MIL will enjoy spoiling your DD then I would buy DD one for her 5th Bday. That is a good age to start going broke on AG stuff . You might know this already but you can order online or have a catalog sent to your house for your DD to browse through. Your little DD might like the bitty babies.

Weekends are busier of course espcially at the NYC location. If you can do a weekday when they first open that would be ideal before the crowds come in. Make sure to make your restaurant reservation at least a month before if you can. The Mia doll is one of my favorites. Wow that is a pretty nice Easter basket :thumbsup2 your DD is going to be thrilled!

Hi there and welcome. Thanks for reading :goodvibes. Oh no reading that makes me sad :sad2:. We have so much AG furniture, clothes, dolls, books and all the movies. AG has put a serious dent in our bank account. I hope she plays with them until at least 11 years old. Having her in dance ensemble with older girls might not be the best idea huh? I guess I might be dressing them up myself in a couple years ;). She already thinks she knows more than me :rolleyes1 so I can relate.

I haven't checked out those Disney deals but thanks for telling me :). It's nice that you live sort of close to NYC AGP. I would arther drive then take the bus but it is probably fun for the kids. Besides parking in NYC is so expensive too. That is good that she saved up her own money to buy Chrissa :thumbsup2. That sounds like it will be fun for your DD to go to lunch with Grandma too. Kaylee has Mia, Chrissa, JLY doll, Kailey, Emily, and Samantha. Too many though, she doesn't have enough time to play with them. She goes to school pretty long hours and then with dance and girlscouts and homework :sad2: just not enough time to do anything else. Have fun in April!

:woohoo: I just got off the phone with Disney and booked Saratoga Springs for our first night also. Hopefully we won't have to change rooms. Unfortunately I got the snootiest :rolleyes1CM ever, thought about hanging up on her and calling back for another CM. More discounts came out today and one of them was a room only discount. When I called to find out about the deluxe (BC, Poly) they were still over $330 a night and the they only had preferred rooms at ASMu and it would be $105 with tax (saved about 15 from a standard room) Saratoga was $190 with tax for a Saturday night. The worst part is the airfare went up quite a bit and is now over $220 a ticket. I called about using my southwest credit and 12 days later they still haven't sent it to me. figures because there was a ding 2 days ago that would have made the price $170 each :headache:. I will be watching the airfare and hoping the price drops a bit. Tomorrow I will post the Epcot park plans.

Thanks :goodvibes me too. it just keeps going up. Luckily we do have two free flights but the 2 others are going to cost $220 each and the nparking for our minivan will be another $80 :headache:, so $520 total. I really don't want to drive, it was a nightmare in October with sickness and gas prices. I'm relieved gas prices went down at least.

My fingers are crossed for you that the airfare goes down! I think going with another SS night is a good idea.

Hi Nichole! Your EPCOT plans look good to me-we have a lot of must do's in common. Last year we tried to get Josie into the Character Spot to see Mickey, Minnie, and the rest. They had just locked the doors and there were still a bunch of families inside. Explaining to a 2 year old why they can't see Mickey and others can (when you can see them standing in line) is very difficult. I think EPCOT is by far the best place to see the princesses though.

Hi Lauren, Thanks :goodvibes for the above comments. So glad we are at Saratoga the whole stay. It will be much easier since we won't have our car to change resorts. Otherwise I was fine with a value or a mod for the night. I'm looking froward to the Acrobats :) every trip something comes up and I end up missing them.

Nichole, I'm enjoying reading your pre-trip report! I have 2 daughters--Ally (4 1/2) and Claire (17 mo.). Ally is big into dance (this is her 3rd year) and she LOVES American Girl!! We visited AGPNY over Christmas and it was absolutely incredible!!! We will be in WDW the same week as you (May 16-23)!! We're staying at the Polynesian and will be celerating our 10th anniversary! This will be the girl's 1st trip to WDW. I haven't been since I was a freshman in high school (1994) and it''s been even longer for dh. I am really enjoying the planning part of our trip and I can't wait until May!!

Me too on the airfare, it's still over $200 each. So glad we don't have to switch resorts, hopefully we won't have to switch rooms. Thinking of changing the Itinerary again, not sure yet. I forgot to add the Seas with nemo to my Epcot plans  I better go back and ad it in.

Hi there fellow Tennessean :). We are from the Jersey Shore originally, lived in Brick before we moved here. Wow Ally is 4.5 and is in her 3rd eyar of dance! Sounds just like Kaylee she started early too. AGP in NY is the best, so fun! I bet you will love staying at the Poly for your first family trip. You will be able to roll the stroller right onot the monorail and it's so easy to take a break during the afternoon. I wish we were staying there again :cloud9:. Our dates overlap quite a bit, maybe well see you there. Oh and I love that picture with your DD and her princess dolls. How many pics is the maximum you can use per post? TIA! Oh--and 1 more thing. I read in one of your TPs that you had customized menus made for your dinner at The Coral Reef for your anniversary. The limit is 25 images and that includes the smiley's too. I use them alot since it's hard to know what someone is feeling just by reading their words. The only restaurant that has the menu's is Coral reef, though they did away with having the divers :sad2:. You can always order a cake or something special delivered to your room at Poly. I think they also have chocolate covered strawberries and things like that. You should check out the cake thread on the restaurant board. Make sure they give you Anniversary buttons for you and your hubby to wear when you check in :). Thanks for the link.

Suggestions are always since we know I :rolleyes1can be so forgetful sometimes. This park is always hard to plan because of all the shows, makes it hard to fit everything in.
Must See's
Toy Story Mania
Jedi Training (hoping Thomas gets picked, he is shy though so never gets chosen for anything)
Star Tours
Rock N Roller Coaster
Animation Class
High School Musical 3 stage show
Light Motor Action ( Thomas asked to see it again)
Meet characters- Mickey, Cars, Buzz & Woody, Power Rangers, maybe Bolt characters if they are still there.
HISTK Playground (on the kids list)
Lunch at Sci Fi Dine Inn
One Man's Dream
Maybe List
Indiana Jones Stunt Show
Block Party Bash (not sure where the heck to sit though :rolleyes1)
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Great Movie ride
Meet Monsters Inc
Muppet 3 D
The No List
Playhouse Disney ( first trip it's not on the list)
Backlot Tour
Sounds Dangerous

I agree, its very hard to plan. ::yes:: I need 1 1/2 days here at the very least to catch all the shows we want!
And now, with TSM added to the mix.... definitely a 2 day park!
We need longer trips, that's all!

Thanks. I had the same problem :goodvibes. I liked my first itinerary better since it was good for touring and a bit more slow paced too. But I really wanted to go to the meet so I switched 2 ADR's around and half of my park plans. I'm not a big fan of crowds so this is hard for me. You have to what is best for your family & schedule first. Though I'm sure they would love to have you join the Dis meet.

I agree you do need 1.5 days at this park at least. Unfortunately this is a shorter trip for us. We usually stay 8 nights and this trip is only 6 :sad2: because Kaylee has Dress rehearsals for her recital and Tom has to get back to work. Don't you think 10 night would be perfect?

I think your list looks GREAT Nichole! We are definitely hitting HISTK playground this year too! We have never been and I think it would be the perfect spot too cool off and relax for a bit! LMA is a great show in the cooler weather! We will definitely skip it this year...cannot picture sitting there in this heat!! I would skip the Great Movie Ride...it is a nice place to cool off but always seems the line is SOOOOO long and then the ride is boring for kids unless you are right up front with the gangster and your kiddos aren't scared! The boys will love HISTKS playground. I think it's really cool! Have you seen Indiana Jones Stunt show before? Maybe we should skip LMA and see that instead. Wonder if it's less hot than LMA?? Tom likes GMR :rolleyes1 and we have skipped it every year since 2003. Not a must do though by any means. I'm sure my kids will be rgumpy and want to swim instead of seeing Block Party. Your plan sounds pretty good. American Idol feels really fast! Go early. I was there during a really slow time and every show we would get near they'd be turning people away! :headache: Finally a "Ding" comes through for our departure day but only goes to to May 20 for the return dates. Unfortunately I need May 22nd. So I decide i'm just going to book because the flight might no get much better since that Friday starts Memorial day weekend. What do you think?? I have to make a decision this afternoon or wait fro hopefully another DIng. Get this I asked Tommy what he thought and he said we should just drive. :scared1:  :scared1:
I wanted to drive this year (mapquest puts it at 19 hours), but when my mom decided to come with us, we decided to fly. But I really wanted to drive, so if it's something you would consider......Do it.
But if not, I would book that one way ding if I were you! If you have to pay alot to come home, at least you saved money on the way there. I don't like taking chances and waiting....although some do and better deals come. I'm the "better safe than sorry" person.:upsidedow

I'm all caught up Nichole! Great looking plans for the Studios. You mean you don't want to see the rivoting Backlot Tour? :lmao::rotfl2::lmao: Man...that thing used to be fun! :sad2:
Our spot for Block Party was ok, but I think by the end of May, the heat would be too much in that spot. Perhaps somewhere on the main drag - that way you can see the first "set" of the Block Party and move on to something else. The other sections of the parade route don't get to see anything until much, much later, but you still have to get your spot since everyone thinks that it will start and get to them in a matter of minutes. You could be waiting a while, or in a bad seat. I would try for Hollywood Blvd (is that the main drag, or is it Sunset? Oops...don't know my way around DHS well enough to know that!)

Wow you really superwoman  that is a long drive. Took us 22 hours from NJ when I was 6 on my first trip. It takes 10 from here so I shouldn't complain. But we do have 2 free flight from Nashville (3 hours drive) guess Tom thinks we might as well save $200 and drive the 7 extra hours. We might use those tickets to go to Miami in the fall for our Anniverary.

Hi Sara,
That is exactly why I'm skipping Backlot tour :lmao:too many others things to do. You know the kids would rather be in the pool anyway ;). Yes it's going to be hot in May :scared:. I think the main drag is Hollywood :confused3and Sunset is where the TOT and RNRC is. Hopefully wherever we sit it is shady. Planning is making me crazy today. I just want to be all done and not see the plans gain until we leave. So how is your trip coming along??

Hi Tammy,
Thanks for the tips on American Idol. See I did forget all about it . If were going to see it I guess it better be early then. So what did you think of it? Also who do you like on AI?? Toy Story section would be great! Thomas also loves Bugs Life so I might have to go do some research, would be great to see both!
I didn't go inside to watch. Ashley and Chimere tried twice and both times were turned away. I saw a little piece of it on the screen outside while Sidney grabbed a cheese filled pretzel. The judges were so mean. It was funny. I think I might check it out next time. This past time we went to DHS twice. Once we were w/ Joy and Jess and the kids wanted to ride rides...the second time we had a passholder thing to do. That was really cool. I can't wait to show ya'll that in the TR!
As for the show on TV...I have not watched in years. I think the last year we actually watched was when Fantasia won. It's been a long time.

I think well put American Idol on the maybe list. Looking forward to hearing about your trip ;). We have watched AI the last three years since it's a show the whole family can watch. I actually never saw the season with Fantasia, I saw the first season with kelly and then didn't watch for a long time.

Just wanted to update that I bit the bullet on the kids airfare and just booked our flights. Total was $409 which isn't great but at least it's booked now. I really didn't want to drive, much easier to drive to Nashville (3 hours) and park there. So this will be our first time ever on Magical Express, a bit scary letting someone else handle the luggage  hope it get there with no problems. When we flew from NJ they only had Mears back then which I hated. If I had to deal with them again I would just book a town car instead. A bit worried to be at SSR without my minivan there. With the buses sometimes it's easier and faster to just drive to get dinners and stuff like that. Hoping it all goes well though as I hate wasting valuable time at Disney. Also my packing will have to be lighter than usual, I guess well be doing laundry. Wow I need to stop complaining and just be happy to cross something else off the list :goodvibes.

Your price for airfare is not that bad!! Ours was over $1,000 for 3 people! Uggh!! 3 days after we booked our flights we got a code in the mail for $150 tickets and they wouldn't let us use it. It would have saved us TONS!! I was a bit irrate!

The price always goes down after we book I guess. I know it will but I didn't want to chance it :goodvibes.. I'm definitely going to pack our bathing suits and some of the essentials we need right away in our carry on. The worst part is the contact solutions and stuff like that. Thinking of getting Lasik but I don't think I will be getting it done before the trip. Tempting though as I'll have so much less to pack. Crossing things off the list is the best isn't it?

Yes thrilled to have it down but having cold feet. I love having my car there from I get sick of the buses and to go to dinner's at the resorts and stuff. Also I can pack a ton when we drive , love bringing snacks and drinks for the room. Thanks for the ME advice. I'll have to think about that one. I told Tommy he wouldn't have to lug the bags to the room at least like we did at CBR . Maybe I'll just have Magical Express get them and hop they magically appear in our room within a reasonable amount of time. How long does it usually take to get your luggage??

Well I have another decision to make. Trying to decide on the cake on Thomas' Birthday dinner. Lukcily I have plenty of time to think this one over since I'll probably just order a week before. We are going to have hiss Birthday party two days after we get back. Pretty sure the theme will be Wall E and we will just have a Barb B Q/ pool party since it's Mememorial day weekend. We are having dinner at Chef Mickeys  again. I thought Garden Grill but my kids love CM the best. Hopefully there are no issues this time. I have narrowed it down to 2-3 cakes I think ;). I would love to have one delivered to the room but SSR doesn't do that since it's more like a condo resort.
First the Pirate cake. It's very small and the kids can finish so we don't have to lug it around after dinner. We may go back to MK or Epcot after dinner.
http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss167/figmificent/DSC03132.jpg
Then there is the Mickey cake which is my favorite and also Thomas' favorite Disney character. But we would have to lug it around and probably wouldn't finish it since we only have 1 more day until we go home. If I could get it delivered to our room then I would choose this cake.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/iluvwdw4ever/WDWJune20084220.jpg
Thomas asked about a Star Wars cake, but not sure if they would be able to make him one or not. This one is huge so defintely not this size, but would be perfect for home

Yay for getting airfare booked. I know while I was waiting for deals to book mine, I was a nervous wreck. Luckily a great deal came through within the week of being ready to book. I was driving myself, my family and everyone at work CRAZY. My coworkers were all checking different websites. As much as I really love that Mickey cake, I vote for the pirate cake.
Reason being, having that big cake for Katie's birthday in October ended up not really being necessary, and she would have been just fine had they had these smaller celebration cakes back in October. In fact, she would have been just fine with the free cupcake they would have brought out had I not ordered a custom cake. Don't get me wrong...I loved her cake, but we were at a buffet like you will be, and most of the cake ended up getting thrown away. We had two more days after her birthday to eat it, and we still never did.
THe pirate cake might be little, but it's adorable....and it's in a treasure chest with a cute pirate mickey inside! pirate: I love it!! :cheer2:

Hi Michelle,
Kaylee will probably want to see AI :goodvibes. I'm leaning towards the Pirate cake. It's small and it's just for the celebration year. Also I won't have to luge it around after dinner ;). Since we are having a big cake home it makes the most sense.

Those are the reasons I'm thinking the Pirate cake will be best. Well have a big cake at home anyway. It's sort of like and overpriced cupcake  and the kids will able to finish it themselves. Last year we ended up throwing most of Kaylee's cake out. When you told me about Katie's cake that pretty much reminded me what a waste it was. Mind is pretty much made up at this point.
I'd go for the mickey head and see if you could pick it up at Boardwalk Bakery sometime during the week so you'd be able to eat it all week! :thumbsup2
I thought of that too. But that will be hassle trying to get over to the BW.
I have heard they make excellent cakes though :goodvibes.

I called the cake hot line a little bit ago to find out :thumbsup2. The tiny cakes can't be customized :sad2:. You can either get a basic all chocolate or all vanilla with simple writing and that is it. Or you can order a cake from the podium at the restaurant, yuck. I have read it's like a twinkie with cool whip. Last year I ordered the 8 inch cake for Kaylee and they could at least put and image on it but still had to be all Chocolate or all Vanilla. It was $35 so for $10 I can get the Mickey cake, it is too cute!. But then we have to lug it around or give it away like we did last year. The pirate cake is like $20 I think. They have so much more for girls. Next time we eat at the castle or GF definitely ordering Kaylee on of those slippers :goodvibes.

Hey!! Just found your TR, and wanted to say  We'll be there in May for a quick trip too, but it sounds like with my plan and yours, we won't run into each other...Is your DS's birthday May 20th? My ds's is May 19th, and DH's is May 18th, we arrive on the 18th, and are only going to MK. I got a pretrippie on here somewhere! It was fun reading about the AG trip, sounds like SOOO much fun, makes me wish I had a little girl to do that with. Boys are fun, just different. I've been looking at cakes today too, and it's been very educational! I'm torn on what I want. I like the pirate chest, I'll have to check on that one for DS. I like the idea of the SW cake too, but not sure if disney can do it. Ah well, half the fun is the planning, right? I can't wait to see what else you have in store, and I'm very sorry to be missing the DISmeet, we get there the day after :headache: Anyways, have fun, and if you need any help planning the parks, let me know, I can help with the parks, not the resorts! Did you ask about the chocolate Mickey? I love the Mickey cake though....don't know that'd I'd pay that much for it if I couldn't eat it though. How much would a plain little cake be with the chocolate statue of Mickey on top? If the Pirate one is $20 and you insist on cake I'd do that one. It's cute and he could eat most of it. Disney makes some gorgeous cakes! It'd be sweet to win a cake and get it done however you wanted, wouldn't it? I gave my oldest the option one time...cake or extra gift. He chose Lego's. LOL :rotfl2:

I looked at a cale thread a while back. It had some really neat stuff on it. SO many times I say I'm gonna check out that Boardwalk Bakery and I never do. Maybe in August. I am making a Spoodles ressie if it's still open then.

Yay Nichole - the countdown is on! May will be here before you know it!
And here is another vote for the Pirate cake. We all know the Mickey cake will be here for years to come, but maybe the Pirate celebration cake will only be here this year for the celebration theme. I haven't seen it before, but then again, I don't spend a lot of time on the cake thread either.
In any event, coming from someone who spent major money on a large custom cake at Park Fare, and spent a week after that trying to eat it at nite without success before having to throw it out, I agree that less is more!

Yep, 2 trips, one in May for DH and DS's birthdays, and a longer one in September for my real mom's birthday. My sister is helping with the Sept trip, and driving me CRAZY!!! Did you see the nemo cake someone just posted on the cake thread? I want that one for my mom!!! :)
I haven't seen the Nemo cake. I have to check it out.
That pirate cake is sooo cute-gets my vote!!
Thanks, my mind is made up with the Pirate cake. Even though Mickey is Thomas' most favorite in the entire world. He told today how he can't wait to see him and eat dinner at Chef Mickey's and have Mickey Ravioli's

I always say we need to go over and spend time at the BW but we never do either :sad2:. I have been over there but didn't go in the bakery.

Hi there :),
Thanks we cannot wait! I agree the large cake will be a waste as many of you have said. Going with the Pirate cake.

Never mind, I looked at Chef De France menu and think I will stick with Hoop Dee Doo. I was waffling on that choice though. Also thinking of taking and earlier flight into Orlando but then we have to leave our house at 4 AM.

We took the 6:30 am flight last year from BNA which meant leaving the house at 3:30am. It wasn't too bad. We still managed to stay up until 11pm. The kids went to sleep while we drove to the airport and then fell asleep again on the plane. The trip was quite peaceful. If I could get over my plane anxiety we all would have had a nice flight....

OMG, I've been oogling over menus too!! All the "what if's" and such, it's driving me bonkers!! I wish it would be time to pack already, I need something else to make me bonkers!! LOL
We did have a nice scare in the neighborhood today...I work at a bank, and there was an attempted robbery at the McDonalds next door!! :scared1: Now why the heck would someone try to rob a drive thru, when there's a bank right there? Doesn't make sense, but hey, I'm grateful. I was coming back from the house from lunch, and I couldn't get here from the back way, cops all over the place, automatic rifles drawn, dogs sniffing dumpsters and stuff...it was crazy!! I called the bank to make sure it wasn't my girls, and luckily, it wasn't! WHEW!! Talk about a DUMB robber tho!!! Didn't get anything, the lady closed the door on him and started screaming! Some people, I swear! But hey, we watched really cute cops most of the afternoon thru our drive thru window at McD's!!! :rolleyes1

I hear you on the plane anxiety. I'll keep you posted if we end up on the same flight. I'm waiting to see though since we have to do online check in the day before and we have two sets of reservation numbers. Thomas has and end of the year program at preschool and I need to se what time that will be at. With my luck it will be between 11 and noon when I need to check in for my boarding pass. If it is then I have to try for the 8:35 flight. I'll know in a few days.

OMG :scared1:. Well at least they didn't try to rob the bank you work at. Most robbers are kind of dumb :rolleyes1 Did they catch the guy? Seems like everytime i watch the news a bank is being robbed and the yseem to always get away with it. This would never happen up north, they would have that person in custody in minutes. Sometimes I have seen on the news the same robber robbing a bunch of banks in the same area on the same day. WTH Knoxille cops must be slow. I forget what name thaey called that one last year  was it the black bandit or something like that. he even had the black stocking pulled over his face :crazy2:. Anyway I agree can't wait to pack so I can focus my on something else instead rethinking the itinerary times over.

I'm not sure they ever caught the guy. We do have a magnetic door, and can be selective on who we let in, so I'm sure we'll be on our guard today. I got my "to be packed" list going, DH thinks I'm totally nuts. He keeps saying that he doesn't know what shorts he's gonna wanna wear...or shirt, he even told me he didn't know what underwear he wanted to wear this far out!! :lmao: SO, mental note, can't count on him for AT LEAST another month!! :sad2: DSM is busy with her 25th anniversary plans, and my brother's surprise birthday party to worry about disney yet...so can't count on her for at least another month!!! :sad2: See my trend?? Which is why I'm going bonkers. I have NO OUTLET for this!!! Is it May yet???

That is funny about your DH :lmao: not knowing what he wants to wear including the underwear. My DH can pack his own stuff, I'll just put the Disney shirts in his bag fro him ;). Sorry not May yet . I think in 2 weeks I'm going to start throwing some stuff into one big suitcase, just so I can see all we have to bring with us on the flight. DId I mention I wish I were driving now :rolleyes1. I'm crazy.

OMG, you sound JUST LIKE ME!!! I keep changing my mind constantly!! Luckily my Dreams Unlimited lady is working with me very well. She knows I need to change dining places for September, but I'm not changing them as of yet. I'm just holding off to see if the plans change any more. I don't have much to work with for the may trip, just 2 nights, but I keep second guessing the Kona ressie for DH'S birthday. He's ALWAYS wanted to eat in the poly...which is why I chose there, but I'm just battling with it in my own head. I think I'm just gone....way too far gone!!! HAHAHAHA

I'm torn right now with changing the schedule around again. Also with the airfare, thinking of earlier but Thomas has preschool graduation the evening before. So not sure I won't to be up at 4 AM. And of course I got a SW ding today :rolleyes1 after I already booked and paid for airfare. I think she keep Kona if your DH has wanted to eat there. Have you checked the menu for 'Ohana though?

Yea, Ohana is a buffet, and I've been sitting here looking at the pictures of inside the restaurants this afternoon, and Ohana seems really nice. I didn't want buffet for him tho, and Kona has steak, which he LOVES steak, so does DS. There's not much to do for the trip right now, so I'm just second guessing everything. Right resort, it's gonna be wierd on the rides with 5 in our party, that sorta stuff. The other teller here at work thinks I'm OCD Disney style!!! HAHAHA

It's more like and all you can eat at your table. They also have steak but it is cooked on skewers, as well as other meat. It is a really good unique restaurant. Also they usually have some kind of entertainment like the Limbo and the Hula and the kids do coconut races. Kona is much quieter but the food is also good. Make sure you get the Kilauea torte for dessert, it's awesome!!
Oh and I changed my flight just now , we are arriving about 3 hours earlier than we planned since we are taking a morning flight. We have to get up at 4 AM to drive to Nashville though since it's 3 hours from here. I knew I should have just said okay well drive :headache:.

I love 'Ohana, October was the first trip we skipped it. It's also so convenient when you stay at Poly. I also love watching Wishes from the beach, so much better than in the parks. I was wavering from seeing HDDR and thinking about going back to 'Ohana . I guess well see you at BNA.

I was just about to PM you today to say Hi as we haven't spoken for ages, and then I saw the link in your signature. Anyway I am so glad I found out, how are you all? I love your mini trip to AG, it looks like so much fun. I would move over to the USA just to take my children there . I love Atlanta, I hope to go back soon. And how was Chattanooga, I love it there too. We didn't do the Aquarium, only a lunch boat trip and Rock City but we really liked it there, and it was much bigger than we expected. Your Disney plans sound great, you must be so excited. I love the Pirates cake, its so cool. Did you decided yet?

We love Poly too :cloud9: and hope to stay there again soon. You should definitely stay there sometime. We have never been to any of the dinner shows, it just never really appealed to us I guess. But after reading rave reviews of HDDR I think we should try it once for sure.

Sorry I should have PMed you :) but figured since your pretrip ended :sad2:maybe you were taking a break from the boards. Glad you here though! Thanks, Atlanta was fun. I would love to go the Aquarium there sometime, looks great. Chattanooga is also a fun town, never been to Rock City and I have lived here for almost 4 years :guilty: well get there eventually. Have you been anywhere fun lately? I hope your are feeling better :sad2: about the trip, and hopefully plan one again in the near future. Yes I'm pretty sure I'm going with the Pirate cake. Animal Kingdom Plans
Must See
Breakfast at Tusker House
Nemo Musical (Never been yet)
Ride the Safari (Thomas loves it and so do I )
Everest
Kali River Rapids (Kaylee's request since it was down last trip)
Tough to be a bug (Thomas asked, I was going to leave it out this time)
Maybe List
Flights of Wonder ( worth seeing??)
Rafiki's Planet watch (never been here)
Jungle Trek
Pagani Forest trail
Meet Stitch, Baloo, and hopefully Flik (Thomas loves him)
Not this trip
Festival of the Lion King :sad2: ( I do love this show)
Dinosaur (yuck)
Primeval Whirl yuck
The boneyard
Jammin Jungle Parade (have never seen it, but would love to fit it in)
So that's it for Animal kingdom. I went out of order since AK is easy to post, this will be Thursday's plans. I still have to post our Magic Kingdom day which is Thomas' Birthday! As far as AK, I think I remembered everything this time. I did plan on this being a half day park since I need to fit in swim time for the kids. Also I will need to pack up a bit before we go to our evening park. Looks like we will go to Epcot or MK on this night depends if we made it to Spectromagic yet or not. I really love that Parade and can't miss it, I just despise the crowds and rude treatment that you sometimes have to deal with to see it :sad2:. When I look at everything I'm missing I think I need a 10 day trip to Disney :rolleyes1.
Up Next: Magic Kingdom and Thomas' Special day!

Yay for getting in earlier! Always great to have more time at WDW! And despite how early you'll have to get up....it's so easy to get up at 4am when you're heading to WDW!! :rotfl:
Regarding the AK plans....I would skip Flights of Wonder. IMO it's not worth seeing, and having all those big birds flying around and swooping over head is a bit freaky to me! Try and fit in Jammin Jungle parade instead! It's worth the wait!!

AK plans sound good!! Once I'm able to tell my mom, I'll get our "must do's" together. I do think Flights of Wonder closed, haven't heard it's reopened, I could be wrong tho, it was closed the WHOLE year we had our AP's, which was Aug 07 to Aug 08. So I haven't seen that. You'll LOVE the Nemo show, it was very nice. I don't much like the boneyard either, but DS loves it, so if we need to rest the feet at that point, I'll take him so Ma and DSIS can get a drink or whatever. But, the AK day does sound good.

Your AK plan looks great! We have done Rafiki's planet watch a few times. This is where we see Pocahontas. It's a nice train ride but other than that it's really just a petting zoo (with goats). We only go to see Pocahontas. I think we are skipping it this year.
The Jammin Jungle parade is neat if you've never seen it. The characters do come and shake hands with the kids etc. Too me its a little more personal than some of the other parades. I used to love the parade at DHS because the characters walked and spend time with the kids. Block Party Bash isn't near as cool to me.

No, I've been here the whole time. I'm ok about not going, I know its going to benefit us a lot more in the long run and thats what really counts. And hopefully we will be going back to WDW next year so I wont have too long to wait, although I hate not having anything to plan at the moment :headache:
We went to the aquarium in Atlanta and it was amazing, the best aquarium we have ever been to. Its so well themed and colorful and the whale sharks are awesome to see. I took Sophie on the backstage tour and it was so good, I hope we get to go again. And Rock City is great too. Its so beautiful and the views across the different states are amazing, especially if you go on a clear day.

Great AK plans. We may be there on thurs as well if we don't get to everything on Sun or want to do some things again. I am not a petting zoo fan so I hope to skip that as well as Flights of Wonder-not a bird fan either. We may do a later morning and check out the parade-sounds fun. We do have a lunch ressie at Yak-Yeti. We need swimming time as well.

I guess FOW is kind of like the one at the Zoo here in Knoxville. I really want to see the Paade here but it's so hard to fit in since we planned on leaving this park by 12:30 or 1PM. how early do you generally get seats for this parade? I know it starts at 3:45 PM.

 So I guess FOW is off the list. I never even heard it closed. it was open when we went in october :confused3 but we didn't make it back to the park in time because of rain. Well definitely skip the boneyard, they would rather swim anyway so that works for me.

Hey Nichole! Your AK plans look great! We have seen Flights of Wonder twice. Once in August of 2006 and then in April of 2008. The first time it was an informative show and actually we liked it..especially the boys who were 6&4 at the time. Last April, they added a "storyline" to it with this weird lady that acted as a tour guide...it was cute but she was SO ANNOYING and unfortunately it took away from the birds which really are AWESOME! Not sure if it is closed or not...it was located in the shade with fans blowing on you though...a rare thing in the AK park:rotfl: We liked Raifiki's planet watch. The boys got to see a racoon having surgery and of course Pocahantas is there! The jungle trek:rolleyes1 NOT SUCH A FAVORITE! by me mostly!! Do you subscribe to TGM? If you do supposedly Flik is stationed near the "secret exit path".:goodvibes

We are hoping to do the Coco-cola place next time as we never got to do it as the queue was soooo long by the time we got to it. We also want to do the Incline Railway at Rock City, it looks good.
Have you never been to Rafiki's Planet Watch before? We have seen a few good characters there like Rafiki and Pocohontas and they have an animal hospital bit too. Sophie loves it there.

Thanks Diane,
We will skip FOW then. We can go to Bug's life to get in the A/C and out of the heat. I thought Rafiki's looked fun. Did you go to the rainforest room? I have also heard Jiminy Cricket is there sometimes. Why do you not like the JUngle Trek?? We did back in 2006 but the bat section was cloed and it was mostly birds. Since we only have 4 park days we will probably skip it. Thomas has asked about it though since he saw it on the AK sing along video. Yes I'm on TGM, same screen name.

I might have to check out Stone Mountain, looks awesome! I also want to go to World of Coke. It looks like a big version of Club cool. We have never been to RPW before, that is why I thought we should go check it out.

I guess FOW is kind of like the one at the Zoo here in Knoxville. I really want to see the Paade here but it's so hard to fit in since we planned on leaving this park by 12:30 or 1PM. how early do you generally get seats for this parade? I know it starts at 3:45 PM.
You don't need to stake out seats too early, but i'd say about 15-20 minutes. It does loop around the tree of life so sometimes it's better to wait and catch it as it's ending, but that would be pretty late for you guys.

At AK, we are going to try Rafiki's planet watch. This will be our first time going to Disney so everything is new. But i'm interested in taking the train ride, and my kids will love the petting zoo. We don't usually do this at home, because I am allergic to everything, but because we're in Disney i'll make an excpetion. I would love to see Pocahontas, and I think I remember reading somewhere on here that is where you could me Jiminy Cricket, I am Right? I would love to meet him.
And the parade looks really good, I think you should try to squeeze that in.

Ooops, forgot to answer your question. Yes I like the parade at AK better than HS. The parade at AK is more personal and unique to me. If you don't get the right spot for Block Party Bash then you don't see much of anything. We were about 25 feet in front of where we should have been for Block Party Bash and we didn't see much of anything. You can check the parade out on You tube and see what you think.

Oh you have to check out the Animal Kingdom parade. It's one of the best things over there! The characters are dressed up so cute! It's way different than the other parades. The kids will be amazed by all of the gadgets they use. :thumbsup2
Plans sound good. I need to add FOTLK next visit. Haven't done it in a long time! I miss the Pocahontas show. We loved that one. You know Yak n Yeti offers a plan for the Nemo show right? Eat there and get reserved seating. Yak n Yeti is good too!

I'm going to try and fit it in. I really wanted to be in the pool at 3Pm instead of heading back to a park. Would this work?? Can we get there at 3:40 and walk around the tree of life and to Africa thru Asia and then sit and watch the end of the parade from Africa. that way we don't have to be there as early or try to fight for seats ;).

I have heard RPW is lots of fun. But then other say it;s not worth it. We do have a petting zoo here at our local zoo. I would love to meet Jiminy Cricket and DD loves Pocahontas .

I have seen lots of pics of BPB and I do think my kids might like it since they love Bugs Life, Toy Story and Incredibles. But I have to say the Jungle Parade looks way better and I have always wanted to see it. Think I will try to get back there to see it after a pool break.

Thanks :goodvibes . I think we are just doing a cake and getting a giftcard since we have tickets. We will have his party at home when we get back though. I'm not going to pay $250 for a plush Mickey and room decorations. Though it does look cute. We didn't do anything like that for Kaylee last year. We did order her a nice cake though with HSM on it. Anything new with your trip plans?

I think we will be adding the Parade to the list for sure. I love FOTLK :goodvibes it's and awesome show. I knew about the Nemo dining package but we will be back at the pool right after lunch. Aslo we are trying the Tusker House breakfast. Looked awesome in your pics, can't wait.

Hi Nichole! I've been MIA from the boards for too long because school is so crazy, but I am finally caught up on your report! That is great that your flights are all set, it will be nice to not have to drive.
Your park plans look great so far! I hope Thomas gets picked for the Jedi Training. All those cakes are cute, I'm torn between Mickey and the Pirate one! I agree with you about the parades...the rude people just really get to me and it always makes me not want to bother with them.

Hi Lauren,
I can relate I've been MIA from the boards more lately too. April and May are going to be crazy months with school and the kids activities. Thomas is in T Ball and that is 2 days a week and kaylee is in 4 dance classes , girl scouts and trying out for Dance Ensemble very soon. So I have been neglecting my trippie a little bit.
It will be so nice not to have to drive to Disney, but on the other hand I love having my car there. I have heard bus service at SSR is not good at all :headache:. I guess I'm going with the pirate cake since I can't order cakes to the room at SSR. I love Spectromagic and don't want to miss it but dread dealing with rude guests :sad2:. Update is coming up this morning.

Sorry I have been Missing from the boards a lot lately. As I posted above things have been crazy and will continue to be crazy right up until we leave. The kids schools and activities are taking up so much time. I feel like I'm run ragged. Thomas has T Ball twice a week and Kaylee has 4 dance classes, girl scouts, and will be trying out for Dance Ensemble next month. She also had a sleep over this weekend and I have to volunteer for the girl scout leader today. Also we have been trying to get yard work and some other house projects done. I will try to update more.
I did do a little bit of shopping for our trip, not too much since most of our stuff from October still fits. I will have to post some pics. Made our final payment to the DVC rental. But sadly found out that the DVC Member says we can't link the reservations :sad2:. I have heard of everyone doing this so I don't know why he says not possible, probably just can't be bothered I guess. So we may have to change rooms on Sunday and possibly lug all our stuff to be stored before we go to Epcot. If we were driving then I would have just booked CBR for our first night since we may have to switch rooms anyway. My kids love the pool there.
Obviously still wishing we were staying at CBR instead. Seemed like a great idea to rent points at the time, but it is actually costing more. Well I don't want to dwell on it though :goodvibes. I will have and MK update shortly. Thank you for reading!

Magic Kingdom Plans & Thomas Birthday :bday:
Magic Kingdom is the park that we do almost everything of course. I thought this was a great park to spend Thomas' Birthday at, we did the same for Kaylee last year. Nothing being in MK on your Bday :goodvibes. I plan to give him one of his small gifts and his card in the room. Since we are flying I have to give his big present at home and I guess it can wait until his Party on the weekend we are home. Maybe I will also make up a special invite from Mickey to celebrate his Bday at Chef Mickey's. Also this is where we will have his cake.
First we are hoping to get the Birthday Fun card since we have park tickets already. Luckily we will have 1 other evening in this park to see Spectromagic too.
Must See Attractions
Most of Fantasyland- Dumbo, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Tea Cups, Philarmagic, Carousel.
Toontown to meet the Tinker bell. Not sure of Thomas will want to so he can go see Mickey or ride Barnstormer while Kaylee and I meet Tink.
Mickey & Minnie's House (Thomas requested this) Maybe I will get my kids pic on Minnie's couch this time :rolleyes1
Buzz Lightyear
Laugh Floor Comedy
Tomorrowand Speedway ( :sad2: ewww, kids love it)
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Splash Mountain
Pirates of the caribbean
Haunted Mansion
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Meet Characters of course
River boat (kids have never been on it :rolleyes1)
W D Railroad
Spectromagic () and Wishes
Dinner at Chef Mickey's :cake:
Maybe's
Poohs' Playground
Meet the Princesses ( Kaylee)
Small World
Laugh Floor Comedy
Tom Sawyer Island (never been)
Snow White's scary adventure
Astro Orbitter ( I won't be riding :sad2: yuck)
Jungle Cruise
Ariel's Grotto
Tiki Birds or Country bears (kids can choose)
Celebrate Parade
Not this trip
Carousel of Progress
TTA, since it's closed :sad2:
Space Mountain, closed
Swiss family treehouse
Stitch's Great Escape (yuck)
Hall of Presidents (closed too)
So those are our plans for the day, any suggestions are welcome of course. We have so much to do here. We might have to park commando since we have so much to fit in. Also I thought about trying to add Bibbity Bobbity Boutique for Kaylee (she is so spolied though) since she is 9 and by time we go again she might not be interested. She has been twice before though, what do you think? I would rather not spend $60 on a makeover that last a few hours. Also I hope to stop in Exposition Hall for the photo ops there. We bought a new Camera and decided not do photopass this trip. If I had got in on a Share with peeps I know I probably would have.
Next : Waterpark plans, Trip Binder, New T Shirts.....

I'm going to call BBB today and see if they have anything for that day. Might be tough fitting it all in. She really wanted a hair wrap since she always gets one, but she has recital 7 days after the trip. So she won't be able to this trip. Our new camera is a Nikon D-60, kind of like the ones they use at the parks. Also we have a Panasonic Lumix that fits nicely in my purse, it also takes pretty good pics. Our video camera died on us at Disney in 2006. It was so much nicer getting a new smaller video camera. I'm sure you'll love having a newer one.

Hi Nichole! Your MK plans look great and very thorough!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 As far as BBB is concerned, I wouldn't do it. maybe you could offer to buy Kaylee a souveneir instead (for a reasonable amount of course;)). I hope SSR works out for you! For every negative I read, I then see a positive review!:confused3 Just go in not expecting much and maybe you will be pleasantly surprised! I would make sure you ask at the check in desk about linking your ressies and not having to move! Is that extra night through rental points, or is it a cash ressie? If it is cash, you might be able to call to link them since the DVC owner doesn't have anything to do with the cash ressie? KWIM:confused3 Either way, good luck!:goodvibes

The extra night is a cash ressie. CR couldn't link it for me. the DVC member would have to. But of course he is telling me it's not possible :sad2: which we all know is not true. Not the happiest with this rental thing so far. Yesterday I called to book ME for our arrival. The CM asked me for our reservation number so she could book the departure. She couldn't find our ressie and then she said I definitely don't have ME booked for the way back :headache:. I know some CM's don't know everything so I tried not to worry. the DVC memeber did send me a conformation for our ressie, but I don't think he put in any of my request and he did not book our ME back as of yet. This is why I wish we were at CBR instead. Seemed like a great idea renting points but now it's sort of a headache since I'm not in charge of my vacation. Hopefully all goes well though and we like SSR. I don't think I'm going to Book BBB again. She has been twice already to the castle. Water Park Day
Most likely we will go to Blizzard Beach this trip. We did Typhoon Lagoon last time and loved it, it's a beautiful tropical Water Park! But haven't been to BB since 2003 so can't wait to go back.
Must Do attractions include
Teamboat Springs family raft ride (Kaylee loved it when she 3)
Toboggan Racers
Snow Stormers
Run Off Rapids
Ski Patrol training camp (great for the 5-12 year olds)
Tike's peak (Thomas might like it)
Melt Away bay (Wave pool)
Cross Country Creek ( AKA lazy river and my favorite)
Summit Plummit (Tommy might want to do this again)
Slush Gusher (Thomas is not big enough)
I think we are doing just about everything :goodvibes at this park. Dinner will be at Hoop Dee Doo Revue this night. Also I would love to go back to Typhoon Lagoon if we have time one afternoon so Tom can try Shark Reef  while I take pics. Also the kids love some of the slides and the Lazy river here.
Coming Up- Some pics, Disney binder, and making a countdown calendar.

My fave ride in all of BB is the family raft ride. The view from up there is so cool! I haver to find a waterproof case for the little cameras so I can take them on the ride with me. We went once during EMH and rode the raft about 6 times in a row. It was so much fun! That's my plan for this time too. Get there super early! Ride it a hundred times then do everything else.

That raft ride is the best! We have to try and do it at least a few times. Of course I hate the walk up all those stairs :guilty: and the chairlift freaks me out. I guess I'll be walking  the stairs after all. I hope HDD is a good show.

Oooo, a water park day. We are not doing a water park this time, next trip for sure though, which is planned for September 2010. A little ways away, but I hope to book the room over the summer. And I am excited that I won't have to come home from this trip wondering when I will ever go back again. I can already start thinking about our next trip. Which, I havn't decided yet, may be a surprise!! I have it planned with my best friend (we've always wanted to take a trip together) And she has 2 daughters all around my daughter's ages. They are going to have a blast!

I'm trying to lose some weight before this trip. Last time the stairs about killed me. If I get in shape I'll be fine. I'd much rather walk then wait in line for the chairs but during EMH it's not so bad.
So you like the chair lift? It scares me :scared:, since I'm scared of heights. My hands were so sweaty I couldn't hold on ;).
Ok, I'm all caught up. I'm sorry your DVC rental thing isn't going too well - I'm sure everything will work out fine once you get there. Its all those expectations we planners put on ourselves!! Ugh!
The MK day looks full, but fun, fun, fun!!! The Birthday fun card should be great for Thomas to buy a couple of birthday presents with! :goodvibes
(Sorry I have no input on the water parks - I have never been, but it looks like you have a good plan!)
You're getting close!! :dance3: (which also means I am too....:dance3:)

Hi Sara,
Yes it must be partly that I'm a planning and like to be in control of my reservation, magical express etc. Also that my car won't be there stresses me out a bit too. I'm not used to only taking buses. Though at Poly we usually just park and never drive anywhere, so you will be fine. I remember, you don't do waterparks. :dance3: for our trips getting close!!!
Hi Nichole! I think your MK and BB plans look terrific. You guys are going to have so much fun! Only 37 days until our vacations begin!! It will be here before we know it :goodvibes
Thanks Leanne,
I can't wait, it won't be long for us now.

Your future trip plans sound good so far. That will be great for the girls! At least you will already have another one to plan for when you get back. That helps from getting the Disney depression ;). Who knows when we will get back. I hope maybe sometime in 2010 for sure.

A cold water park day :scared: doesn't sound fun. The raft is great at BB. the one at TL is very short. I was shocked when it was over, it lasted like 4 seconds.

Thanks. I went to DS last week to get stuff for the easter baskets. They had a large sized plush Bolt but that was about it. I only saw 2 though. They didn't have mittens or Rhino either. I couldn't even find Bolt Tshirts.

HAPPY EASTER to you and your family, I hope you had a lovely day. Sorry its late, I've only just got back from our mini holiday. We had a lovely time but I am so tired now, all that sea air really takes its toll
BB is a good choice, we love it. We always do at least one waterpark and BB is definitely my favorite, the slides are much better.

Well I have made a couple of changes to our ADR's. First off we had two ADR's for Le Cellier. One was on the day of the DIS meet but I switched. I showed Thomas pic of Remy at Chef De France and he of course really wants to go there now. So yesterday I called and switched our ressie. I was able to get Chef's at 4:45 PM :cool1: and we will just eat at Le cellier on our last night. Tommy would be bummed if we missed Le Cellier. at gives me enough time to go to the meet, then see the Acrobats in China and go back to France for dinner. I'm also not sure if we will keep Hoop Dee Doo revue now since we are a 3 meals over on our DDP. I was actually trying to switch to Caifornia Grill but they didn't have anything available. I just love it there. I think we may just do a 1 TS place (haven't been able to get anywhere good so far) if I'm lucky enough to get a cancelation for one we like. Then I'll just have to pay for Tusker House OOP. So if we skip HDDR then it will be on our list for next time. Today we are going to finally make our countdown calendar. So I should have some pics of that tomorrow. We are all getting really excited as Disney is getting close .

Hi Ariel :),
Thanks. Hope you had a nice Easter too. Sea Air sounds good to me. I agree BB has better slides but I love the tropical theme of TL.

Yes I do love the tropical theming, and the shark reef bit is great too. However, the waves in the main pool start to make me feel sick after a while . It was lovely to stay at the seaside and luckily we had some really nice weather. I really want to go back :guilty:
