DAY 6 Our Last Day continued......
When we left we had hopes of getting to the main pool at SSR. There were major black clouds in the sky but it wasn't raining yet. So we put on our swim suits and headed to The Springs pool and :yay: it was open and not all crowded.
The kids couldn't wait to try out the slides and us big kids joined them. All of the pools at this resort were really nice but the main pool was the best. We were happy the rain was holding out, but those skies looked dark.

We had a fun hour in the pool. Tommy went to AP to pick up lunch for us while I got the kids out of the pool. We had a late lunch at an outside table near the pool. We shared 2 orders of Chicken nuggets and 2 flat breads. We used up our last 4 CS on the DDP. We still had so many snacks left. I didn't take food pics sorry. The food was edible.
After lunch we went back to the room to shower and hopefully get Thomas to take a nap so he wouldn't be cranky at dinner tonight. Of course he never napped though. So we got ready for dinner at Le Cellier. I had thought of canceling this one and just trying to get an ADR for somewhere in Mk instead, as we needed more time at MK. Tommy was looking forward to Le Cellier though so we went.
We got to Epcot 10 minutes before our ADR and still had to walk all the way to Canada. Thomas fell asleep on the bus so we carefully put him in his stroller so he could get a 10 minute snooze before dinner. The sun was shining a bit between the clouds so I snapped a few pics on the way to Canada but didn't really have time to stop. Kaylee posed in most of my pics since Thomas was sleeping.
Kaylee took this of us.

We checked in for Le Cellier and had about 5 minutes until we were seated. I'm not sure which section we were seated but our waiter was really nice and service was good. I ordered the kids those cups that come with the light ups since it was our last day.
What a face

We were just digging into our pretzel bread when I looked up and noticed Mary (MaryAZ) at the very next table. I had to go over and say hello before their dinner came. We chatted for a few minutes and Kaylee walked over to meet her girls Avery and Cayley. I had told her one of my DIS friends DD's has the same name as her. Cayley and Avery were adorable and it was so nice to meet Mary and her family.
Our dinner had arrived. Tom ordered the mushroom filet which he loved. I ordered the NY strip since I don't like Mushrooms and they took maple filet off the menu :sad2:. It was good but wish I had ordered the Filet minus the mushrooms since Tom' s was better. Kaylee had the kids steak which she liked and Thomas had pizza which he didn't touch since he said he was not hungry.

As we were waiting for the check I called Tammy (onetreehilladdict) to see where they were since we had been playing phone tag all day. Turns out hey were in WS Germany I think. I told her we were finishing up and then would be in WS and hoepfully meet up. Duhhh we should have picked a set place but didn't think of it at the time.
Anyway we paid our check at Le Cellier. We will definitely be back to this restaurant! We took a few pictures in Canada. Thomas was not into having his picture taken.

Continued..
We continued on to the rest of World Showcase. We did need to put on our poncho's at one point since it was raining lightly. We only took a few pics because of it. I wanted to get a pastry in France but i was so full from dinner. We stopped in Morocco and Italy but i was making sure I avoided one particular playground that had lots of black mulch. It looked cute though.

By time we reached Mexico I needed a Margarita since I hadn't one of even a Pina Colada this trip. I don't drink very often actually but have always wanted to try one of those different colored ones from the stand. It was all of the flavors layered in the glass. It was good but the apple flavored portion was nasty. Thomas needed the restroom so Kaylee and I said we would waited out front. Then I heard a girl call my name and looked up and it was Amy (earthfaries) and her DS. I was surprised to see her but happy to finally meet her. We talked for a few minutes until her sister came out to meet them with the other kids. They were all really nice and her kids were cuties too. She said they loved living in FL. Which someday I hope too also.
Tom and Thomas came out but had no luck finding a bathroom. He did run into Tammy though inside Mexico. They were also on their way out. It was so nice to meet her and her beautiful family. Her DD and DS were really nice and friendly and Kaylee hit it off with them immediately.
I finished up my Maragrita so I could meet Tom and Thomas at the Odyssey center as they went there to use the restroom. All our kids wanted to ride some rides together and their ride of choice was TT which I had FP's from the SSR screw up that I needed to use. We all walked and chatted on the way out of WS and over to TT. Tammy's baby DS didn't want to ride for some reason so her DH Sidney waited with him while the rest of us rode. That was lucky though as he had to rescue Thomas from a thief  thanks again Sidney! Anyway the kids had a blast on the ride. I didn't take any pics of us since we had been out in the rain. I should have though, hindsight. After the kids played in some of the cars in the TT pavilion. I did mange to get a few pics of them. Kaylee and her new friends.

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/nickay28/Disney%202009/Disney2009464.jpg
It was time for Poncho's when we left TT. All of us wanted to ride Soarin before leaving the park. So we walked over to the land. We ran into Mary and her family again too while we waited for the girls to use the restroom. They were heading out though so didn't ride with us. Tom didn't ride with us since we didn't have enough FP's and the CM didn't bother to tell us there was no wait :rolleyes1 so he could have went. Anyway we waited for the front row. But the group in front of us got stuck on the ride for about 25 minutes :scared1:. It went by quick because we were talking the kids were having fun. Her baby DS is adorable BTW. Maybe it's a good thing we waited for the front. We were finally on the ride when the screen went black and we went back down to the floor . The CM had to wait for the audio to catch up before we could try to ride again. Luckily we did ride again and didn't get stuck this time. By time were off the ride the park was closed. So we all headed out of the park. We said good bye to Tammy and her family. We needed to get back to the room and pack :sad2: for the flight home which was very early. Also Tom wanted to use the rest of our snack credits for the kids to have on the plane/ car ride from Nashville.
After we got back put the kids to bed and packed up we crashed. I woke up later with a horrible stomach though, not sure if it was the Magarita or too much food on the DDP . Luckily I didn't get sick though. We woke up early it was very hard to wake up too grumpy tired kids who didn't want to leave. This time Kaylee was the one who cried. But her dad promised we would be back next year. Bell services came and drove us and our suitcases to the Springs. Magical Express was already there, 10 minutes early. We had and uneventful ride to the airport. As soon as we got inside MCO it started downpouring. We took the fake monorail to our gate and had breakfast at McDonalds in the airport.
After we landed in Nashville we still had a 2.5 hour drive home. We stopped for lunch at Chick Fil A and made it home in record time. When we got home Thomas couldn't wait to play with his Birthday presents. My mom brought the dogs home and had a quick visit with the kids. After they left Thomas and Kaylee played with Thomas's new Pirate ship toy and then played Mario cart for 2 hours. I took a much needed nap on the couch while they played. I must have been exhausted from the trip, rain and all the aggravation before we left. I came back to much of the same but won't bore you all with it on here. Normally I can never nap during the day as I need it really quiet and dark. Disney depression set in right away :sad1:. None of us were ready to be back so soon.
Next update: Final thoughts

Hi Becky. Thank you, just one more update. I still have to write it though and finish gathering my thoughts. We had so much fun meeting DIS Friends :goodvibes this trip. Soarin is the my favorite too. We can't wait to go back either, hopefully soon. Tom is all for going by ourselves for our anniversary weekend. But that might be tough for loads of reasons. If not then well go to Nashville or his cousin has a place in Miami right on the beach.

Hey Nichole! I didn't realize I was so far behind on your report, sorry! :flower3: All caught up now!
The Ewok you got Thomas is just adorable! I'm not really a Star Wars fan but he looks like a cuddly little guy. :) So sorry about the awful start to your morning on that day. Seems like you were able to forget about it and enjoy your day though which is great!
Love the pictures of you and Kaylee with the fairies! We haven't met them yet as I've heard horror stories about the lines. Looks like you did it right by getting there first thing in the morning.
Love the Chef Mickey's pictures too - one of our favorites! I was cracking up at Kaylee looking in Donald's eyes! :lmao:
We had the same problem with blisters that trip too. Sam had regular crocs on (that were new) and her feet were all blistered. We ended up buying her the croc flip-flops in Epcot which were a lifesaver.
I saw you mentioned you might do a couples trip? I think that would be fabulous for you and Tom! I hope it works out!
Too funny about Donald's reaction to Kaylee's Daisy shirt! Sam wore her Daisy shirt to Chef Mickeys and Donald was making all sorts of "love" motions with his hands towards her shirt. :rotfl:
You got some fabulous pictures on the safari! Love the giraffes the best!
LeCellier looked fabulous! I finally was able to book that for our October trip, we've never been able to get in before. I can't wait.
Looking forward to your final thoughts! :goodvibes

I'm not a big SW fan either but did see it as a kid and now Thomas loves it.
If you go see the Fairies I would line up before TT opens;). It wasn't really that bad when we went, only a few people who really rushed. Yes i have gotten good at moving on and having a great day. It was my mistake though :). Thanks the Giraffe's were really close. :cool1:that you got Le Cellier, steaks are excellent there.

Hi Diane,
Thanks, it was fun to meet up with other Dissers this trip. A few of them I felt like I already knew so it wasn't starnge or anything :goodvibes. We love Le Cellier, it's always been good when we've been. So glad we got to the pool finally and it was a very nice pool too. As far as June, it will have to be a Star Wars weekend. Thomas will just love that. I prefer may but Kaylee can't miss school for more than 3 days and she has rehearsals for one of her shows in May. Same thing with SPring break, her dance school is putting on a show. I'm guessing June 5-13th before the huge crowds arrive. But maybe we would go a few days later ;).

Looks like you had a nice last day/night at the World. How sad it must be to have one of your children cry when you leave. We aren't at that point yet with DS. Pretty soon though he'll understand. I'm sure you felt like crying yourself!

I'm glad you ended the trip with the best meal of the whole trip! It sounds delicious! I hope to someday get to Le Cellier! :sad2: You met so many DISers - that's fabulous!
I love the pics you took of Kaylee at the front of Epcot with the topiaries and NO rain! Yay! :thumbsup2
Sounds like your trip home was uneventful - that's good! I'm always amazed at how tired I am when I get home. I never feel that tired when I'm actually ON the trip, but when I get home it like hits me three-fold and I am OUT like a light!

Hi Mary,
Sorry you didn't love Le cellier, not everyone does. We have always had good meals there so far. I remember you had a tough night. But usualyy dinner time is like that with little ones right? Kaylee's school district is ridiculous, as are many schools in the south. She does not want to be home schooled though.
Great last Day and Update Nicole !!! Are you going next May too!! It is definately in my plans !! I think I want to do 9 nights this time and go mid week when flights are cheaper !!!!Vacation really is no problem for me I get more than I use !! Note I didn't say more than I NEED !! I am hoping we can have a 2nd MMM !!!!
I would love to go next May but Kaylee can't miss school. Well have to see how the year goes. I will keep you all posted :goodvibes.
Sounds like a nice last day! Glad the rain held out so you could finally use the big pool! Coming home is always so sad. :(
Thanks Joy :goodvibes,
It was a good last day and we are always sad going home.
Great updates Nichole! I will sadly miss your TR! I always do :)
Looks like you had a nice last day/night at the World. How sad it must be to have one of your children cry when you leave. We aren't at that point yet with DS. Pretty soon though he'll understand. I'm sure you felt like crying yourself!
What time did DME come? Too bad you had to leave so early.
Thank you :flower3: very nice of you to say. Someone is always crying when we have to leave. It seemed easier when we stayed longer like 8 nights at least. This time was Kaylee's turn. I hope your DS doesn't cry it makes it even harder on us Disney crazed moms .
NIchole - I can't believe I missed another update. My email notifications are not working...grrrr...Anyway, it sounds like a nice last day.
I can't believe you finished this thing already. I hope my computer is fixed soon and I can update more on mine before I completely forget about everything! :headache:
Standing by for final thoughts....popcorn::
Sara
Thanks Sara,
Yes I'm almost finished. I started working on final thought hope to have them posted by Tuesday latest. I hope you get to Le Cellier next time, we love it there. Glad I'm not the only one who is exhausted when they get home from vacation. Hope your PC is fixed soon :goodvibes. Well I did it! I booked a 3 night trip just for the two of us :dance3:. I'm a bit sad to leave the kids behind at Grandma's and am still trying to convince Tommy to bring them too. I know he is right that we never have a break or do anything for ourselves. But still I will be watching the MVMCP parade and thinking about how much I wish I was sharing it with my babies :sad2: I'm just such a worried mom all the time.

I have some news on our next trip to Disney!! tommy really wants to go just us two for 3 nights for our Anniversary In December. I finally said okay to going without the kids, but i will still try to talk him into it I'm sure . i feel bad since they have never seen any of the Christmas shows/ decor at Disney either. Seeing the Santas' in Epcot and watching the MVMCP parade will be tough.
Anyway I asked him where he wanted to stay and he is fine staying at Pop since it's a short trip and we won't be there other to sleep and shower. I figured since it was our Anniversary that i should book a moderate like POFQ or CSR instead. I just called to make the reservation and it was $300 more for POFQ or CSR since they only have King beds or Water view and no standard rooms :headache:. Not sure they are worth $100 more a night :confused3 what do you think? I do need some rest though and I have heard POFQ is usually nice and quiet. I mean it's a room and we won't be squished in like when we have the four of us. It is a special occasion though. But $300 can go towards the airfare or our next trip with the kids. Just not sure and we don't get time away together often. At most one night a year. I hope I don't miss my kids too much :sad1:.

Yay Nichole - just as you stopped this TR you have another trippie in the works! That's the way to do it!;)
I love the idea of a parents-only trip, but I know what you mean about wanting the kids to be there to see the Christmas stuff. Too bad your trip wasn't planned for a time of year that you had already been before - less guilt!
As for the choice of resort...well if it was my call, I would spend the $300 and skimp on something else to upgrade to a mod. If the kids were coming it would be a completely different story, but as this is an anniversary trip....;)
Alternatively, if you could score a really good rate at Poly, I might be inclined to do the 1st two nites at a value and then splurge for the last nite.
Whatever you choose, I am sure it will be an awesome trip!!! You will have to post the link here once you start your PTR.
Oh, and about LeCellier and the mushroom fillet: TRY IT!!! I absolutely *despise* mushrooms. Can't stand 'em. Won't eat 'em. If another piece of food has come into contact with 'em, won't eat that either.:rotfl:
However...as I had heard so much hype about that dish, I knew I had to try it. I was tempted to order without the mushrooms but I was worried it might ruin or change the dish. Now I never ate the whole pieces of mushrooms, but I did eat (make that devour!) the sauce and the fillet which was piled underneath all those little fungus. And you know what - it was without a doubt the best piece of meat ever! I order it absolutely everytime!
So, just take a chance and order it the next time. And if you don't like it I will owe you a margaritta!
Too bad btw you can't come in May. There seems to already be a little contingent here shaping up on your TR. I will also be there in May - can't wait!:goodvibes

How exciting another trip! I"ve been considering it too especially since the buzz is that free dining will open up tomorrow for stays through December. I really, really, really want to see those Christmas lights & parades.
We really enjoyed POFQ. It was much smaller and quieter than CBR. During our stay the bus was really fast and efficient too. I say go for it. Who knows when the next Adult trip will happen so I say splurge a little. If you do end up taking the kids you will still have plenty of room. Hope you had a nice weekend!

Nice job on booking an anny trip!! When in December??
DH and I booked an anny trip at the POP two years ago. We were less than enthused as we planned for the trip but we wanted to stay on budget. It was a 3 day trip like yours and ya know what, We had a blast at POP!!
We asked for a King bed room and we were given that in the 80's/90's so it was a bit quieter (IMHO). The room sort of overlooked the computer pool, a little off to the side. We did rent a car so buses weren't a problem. We were completly happy with our choice to stay at POP!

Well it's official were staying at POFQ! I was fine with pop since we would get a King bed most likely. But POFQ is supposed to be quieter. Not sure it's justified since well hardly be in the room since we are going for all the Christmas stuff.
I would love to come back in May, but with Kaylee's school it is hard. Also she has dance recital the very next weekend. next time I'm ordering that filet at Le Cellier. Not sure if I'm going to do a PTR or not :confused3. SO much going on right now. Maybe I will start one a month before we go. I'm still working on talking Tom into taking the kids :guilty:.

We booked POFQ  this morning! still I feel a a bit guilty to leave the kids at Grandma's. Tom doesn't feel the east bit guilty :rolleyes1 which is surprising. I was able to book a standard room since today they didn't have King rooms :confused3 last night they did. Well at least if I add the kids there is room. I'm looking forward to seeing the lights and the parade as we have never been in December. Wondering about the weather though. Hope you had a good weekend as well.

Thanks Lessa :goodvibes. our marriage can use this time that is for sure. Every time I feel bad one of the kids does something that convinces me to leave them home and go have fun. It's going to be a different kind of trip.

Hi Becky,
I know you can talk Brent into going back in December. It might be colder but at least it's not rainy. Well I wouldn't call it a huge splurge but I did upgrade to POFQ this morning. It will be nice and quiet. It's hard leaving my babies home :goodvibes .

Thanks for telling me that. I think I would have been fine with Pop too. As would Tommy. He didn't really care if I upgraded or not. We liked Pop just fine when we stayed there last March. Getting a King bed in quiet area I'm sure was a plus for you. that would work for us as well. If I had read that before I switched I probably would have kept Pop. Now that they have come out with free dining this morning I think Pop will be busier. Never stayed at a resort that I didn't like yet. But there are a few that I love like Poly and WL. I guess we went with POFQ since it's a special trip and we have never stayed there before. We like to try new resorts.

1st - you're going to be there with us!! WOO HOO!!
2nd - you will miss the kids...but you will still have an AWESOME time alone for your anniversary! And the kids won't miss school! you'll be fine!!
3rd - i'd go for Pop....$100 a night is quite a bit when it's just going to be you two and you won't be heading back to the resort in the middle of the day to nap/swim.
4th - that extra $300 can go towards an AWESOME anniversary dinner someplace you've always wanted to go without the kids...like Yachtsman or Jiko or Narcoosies....or a special tour! Like the Segway tour in Epcot! Or you could book a couples massage at the GF spa! :cloud9:

That is so funny that you mention the Segway tour! I was looking at that last night. This morning I switched to POFQ. but know you have thinking since we thought they segway tour looked really fun. i have to talk to Tommy after work tonight. I love going to the Spa and getting massages. Tom hates it, he does not like strange people touching him :confused3 grosses him out. Also your right we won't be napping or swimming in December:idea:. We are going to do a special dinner since we have the DDP. Either California Grill or Narcoosse (spelling).

I'm sort of looking froward to it though I know i will miss the kids being around all those kids. Another reason I switched resorts. Maybe I should have switched to CSR ;). I'm hoping that works Sara, that he will want to rbing the kids back sooner.

I am caught up and your done. :lmao: you post fast.
great tr and pics.
Sorry it rained so much for you.
Sorry you didn't like Tusker House, it is my favorite character breakfast but I never had a bad time with the characters. Never felt rushed.
Le Cellier sounds nice. I am booked there for October along with Cat Cora's new place.
I would choose POFQ over CSR. Biff and I really did not like CSR. It was very pretty but paying 10% tip for cs meals is ridiculous. The cm's let me know it is nto Disney owned. Just not very magical, but beautiful.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the reminder about CSR, I read that in your TR. We also said we would never stay there. So it's off the list as not Disney enough :goodvibes. We are booked at POFQ. Le Cellier is the best, hope you like it. We loved the food at Tusker House but the characters were crazy fast.

Hi Rosie,
I agree with you as all we need is a place to sleep and shower since it's a short trip. Pop was absolutely fine last time we stayed there. Though it was a bit noisy at night in our section. We do love Deluxe resorts though to relax and swim. But that is not in the budget right now. I guess we are settled on POFQ since it's a tad quieter, but who knows I could change my mind.

I hope to have my final thoughts posted tomorrow. This is the last nice day we are supposed to have for a week do taking the kids out to the park and swimming in the pool today.
Anyway we booked POFQ and I'm fine with that as we never been there yet. Then yesterday a room code came out too. So I tried to book Pop for 2 nights followed by 1 night at a deluxe in the club level. Tom thought this was the best idea. I fianlly decided to book but pop was gone and all they have is AS sports. no way I.m staying there with the Pop warner kids coming in the same weekend. So for now we still put at FQ.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Saratoga Springs Resort : We had a nice stay overall. Our room was nice and clean and it was a beautiful place. It certainly wasn't my favorite by a long shot though. The theme just wasn't my favorite and the bus service was bad on our visit. I do prefer having a car there. Artist Palette the counter service, was pathetic IMHO. Way too small and the hours were the most convenient for us. But yes I would stay here again if I were able to get a super deal.
Worst moments of the trip:
Probably the screw with our dining plan courtesy of the front desk CM at SSR. That was a huge hassle and chunk of our time. Mind you that was the last sunny day of the trip.
The rain was also just awful, I mean 24 inches of rain ina single week is crazy! It caused us to miss so many of the things on our list. Because it rained the whole week there was no way to find a way to fit things in.
Best Moments:
Having Thomas celebrate his Birthday at MK and Chef Mickey's. Also seeing him get picked for the Pirate Tutorial. Just spending time together as a family is also one of the great things about going to Disney. It's impossible not to have a good time even with the bad weather.
My next favorite was meeting some of my DIS friends :). It was so nice to spend time with Sara & Shawn, Michelle and her DD Samantha, Becky and her adorable family, and Tammy and her beautiful family. Also loved meeting Leanne, Mary and their families as well, even if it was brief. Dissers have the cutest kids I have to say.
Future trip plans:
So far our plans as a family are to come back in the beginning of June for Star Wars weekend. I really want to get back in May before the crowds but Kaylee's school and dance that is going to be hard. Well see though, it's still a possibility. Hoping to go back to Poly or try a new deluxe. But CBR will fine as well.
Our next trip will be in December to celebrate our wedding Anniversary :yay: Most likely it will be just Tommy and I. It was a tough decision for me though and honestly I'm still working on him :rolleyes1to add the kids and another day. So far we booked POFQ since we didn't budget for this trip. It looks quiet and nice and also it's a new resort for us to try. The planning so far is completely different than when we go with the kids. It seems much easier already. We plan to celebrate at Narcoossee's or California Grill.
I hope you all are having a great summer. We have been super busy this summer. Between swimming, play dates most days, Kaylee's dance schedule it's been crazy here ! We have been to the parks, the Zoo and the movies a few times as well. Here are a few pics of what we have been up to this summer. Some of you may have seen these pics already on my FB page.

I had so much fun with ya'll! I love the pics you took of the kids too. I wish I had taken some. We will make up for it in December! Might I make a suggestion!? If I were you whether or not you bring the kids along I would book POP. Then use the extra $ to upgrade to Deluxe Dining so you and Tommy can go to a bunch of nice romantic two credit table service places! (Or Dinner shows) Knowing you guys I think it would best suit your needs. December is hit or miss with the weather so you may not even be able to enjoy the fancier pool. Ya know? Also, the $ saved from the other resort could go towards tours...Segway, Behind the Scenes at the MK...all that cool stuff! Now if you had the 40% code I'd say stay in a super romantic place...but since it's free dining I'd do Pop and then go all out on everything else!
Your trip report was awesome! Will you finish mine for me!? :rotfl2:
Hope to see ya'll on Sunday! Call me K?

I am so happy you and Tommy are giving a couples only trip a try and I think POFQ is the perfect resort!! You will love either Narcoosee's or Cali Grill! I sure hope you choose next June for your family vacay and push it back a week or so:rolleyes1 I'm just saying! Glad you got to meet so many disser's, sounds like so much fun!!! What a busy summer you have had! i CANNOT believe your kids go back to school in 10 DAYS!!!:scared1: I feel like our summer just started!! I look forward to your December PTR!:goodvibes
Thanks Diane :goodvibes! We love Cali Grill, but Narcoossee's would be a new place for us. I think June sounds good. Maybe I can get Tom to agree to AKL if we do deluxe. I know Thomas would love it there!! So many kids activities. I feel the same way, summer just started! Kaylee has been in dance all summer and I feel like I never get to see her :sad2: I would love to just homeschool. But then again i never get a break as it is. I'll see you over on your trippie now :) since I'm finally done. i thought you would finish first since your quick with updates.
Call me K?
Thanks Tammy. We had fun with all of you too :goodvibes. I just showed Thomas all your SWW pics and the ones of R2, he is could nine :cloud9:. Yes shame on us for not taking pics :guilty:. I booked Pop from the start. But we never go anywhere without the kids so we decided upgrade a little. We won't swim :confused3but maybe use the hot tub and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Then I mentioned the deluxe DDP to Tom but we hate wasting time in TS places as it is. Regular DDP is too much food. We want to spend time touring the resorts and the parks seeing all the Christmas decor since we have never been before. Probably going to MNSSHP on Friday since we won't be there with you all on Thursday :sad2: so bummed. I agree though the Segway tour looks fun, then again I would probably crash the darn thing . If we had 40% we would probably went with deluxe and skipped the dining plan. I'll give you a call tomorrow :)

Great job Nichole!:goodvibes
Have a great summer! December will be here before you know it! Plus, I am sure you will be busy getting ready for Christmas that much earlier this year due to your trip, which is bound to make the months fly by!
If you do decide to start a PTR, be sure to post the link here. Otherwise, I look forward to reading all about your December trip once you return!:goodvibes

Thanks so much for reading :goodvibes. Maybe I'll find time to do a little shopping at Disney for Christmas ;). I will certainly post a link if I do a PTR. More than likely I will wait until I get back this time.

Just finished reading your trip report! LOVED IT!:yay:
We are taking our son in Sept and will be celebrating his 5th birthday while we are there. At lot of your report was about things we are planning to do!
THANK YOU!
Did you use a stroller with your son at anytime during your trip? We can't decide whether to take one down or not. Titus hasn't used one in forever but I didn't know if we needed one in disney or not.
LOVED the ewok and RD-D2 toys. Titus would love those toys! He loves star wars and trains!
Again I LOVED your report!

Thanks Sara :). It was nice to finally meet up. I'm fianlly starting to get excited for the trip, but it still will be hard to see the Christmas parade and
and all the light with out them :sad1: but maybe next year. I'm hoping that the plan works and Tommy is ready to bring the kids back. he does like Disney just doesn't love as much as the rest of us. I guess the money disappearing out of the checkbook might be why . Next year I plan to possibly Home school Christmas break can be whenever we want. Thanks for reading.

Thanks for reading :goodvibes. your little boy is going to have a fantastic Birthday in Disney. no better place to celebrate. Thomas doesn't use a stroller at home but yes we took a stroller to Disney. He used it a lot actually. In May- October it is really hot/ humid in FL so little kids need rest and plenty of water since they get tired and dehydrated much faster than us adults ;). It depends on your DS though if you think he will use it or not. Normally i would say just rent, but you may want to check the prices because it has gone up a bit. Hope you have a great trip. If you decide to do a TR send me the link :).

Hi Nichole!
Somehow amongst all the craziness of my life this summer (we just moved 3 weeks ago)I managed to lose track of your TR. :sad2: So sorry!
I am looking forward to going back and reading it all! :thumbsup2

Hi there :goodvibes glad you found my TR again. Thanks for reading. Congtas on your move and booking POR. Your brave trying a new resort :) . iwanted to book CBR for DH and I but I would feel so guilty going there with out the kids. Thomas wants to go and stay in a pirate room. If you do a PTR send me the link. I hope you like POR. Let me know when you get back if you think it's better than POFQ ;) I might have to switch.

Just read through your first day and a half.
Sorry you had so much trouble with the school. And the pool and CM issues at SSR. :sad2: Hopefully you got to enjoy the main pool and slide later in the week!
Loved the BB pics! Never been there yet.
We are going to try the Turf Club on our November trip. So we will be checking out SSR while we are there. I think I would prefer OKW though if I had to choose between the two. It looks more tropical, like CBR!
Yes, we are trying POR. I'm a little scared. But hopefully we will love it! DS10 keeps saying - "I don't see why we can't just go back to CBR. It has everything I need." :rotfl: Yeah, he's 10, what does he possibly need?
I'm not sure if I will be doing a PTR. Probably not. But I'm sure I will do a Dining Report, a POR review, and a TR when we get back.

I like the theme of OKW better too. We dropped off people on ME on the way to SSR. But I have heard the rooms are more rundown, so I went with SSR. SSR was pretty and the room was very clean. it just was not my cup of tea I guess. I have heard great things about the Spa, wish I had time to try it. Looking forward to your review when you get back.

I have heard that about the OKW rooms too. But I have also heard they are very large! So maybe we'll head there right after they get a rehab!
As you know we were planning on going to the Poly or the BC on our next trip. But unfortunately things have really slowed down at my DH's work, so we didn't think it was the best idea right now to spend that kind of money on a hotel. We were planning on a January return, but then a few months ago I got a free dining PIN. So we decided we could swing a moderate with free dining this fall!
I haven't read all the way through your TR yet, but I see your ticker. . . So you are staying at POFQ next?

I understand about your DH's work slowing down. We are in the same boat. Better to wait and save the deluxe for another time. I hope things get better for us soon with this economy. A value resort is probably more in our budget for this extra trip. Since it's only Tom and I going and it's our 10th Anniversary we had to upgrade at least a little ;). If the kids were going we would go to CBR for sure. I really can't go there without the kids. I also got a pin code in the mail. At least know we are able to use it.

Yes, it sure is a scary time for a lot of people right now. Hopefully things will turn around soon. :wizard:
So glad you were able to get R2D2 for Thomas! The boys bought one when we were there in January. It was the same deal - buy $40 worth of merchandise and get R2 for $60. What a steal!
Just finished up your Epcot day. I have always wanted to see the Chinese Acrobats, but we never seem to be there at the right time and end up skipping it. :confused3 Maybe next time. It looks very neat!
Looking forward to your DHS day. My favorite park! :lovestruc I sure hope Thomas got picked for the Jedi Training Academy!

Just finished up your DHS day. Sorry about all the rain. :sad2: But it looks like you were able to do lots of rides and character meets. We love Sci-Fi too. We didn't eat there on the last trip so we are really looking forward to it in November!
I'm slowly but surely making my way through your TR. Better late than never, right? :rotfl:
You'll never guess what I did! I cut back my POR with free dining stay to 6 nights and changed the last 2 nights to a room only stay at OKW! For about the same price! So I guess I will get to see just how worn those rooms are! Hopefully they will be fine. :wizard: I'm very excited to try 2 new resorts!
