Disney must be feeling the recession. Today I received my fourth pin in the last, of, 45 days or so (since early January). I've received a 40% and Kids Stay, Eat, Play for Free in the US mail and Free Dining and 20% via email.
So, keep an eye out, 20% (although I'd imagine most would pass on that one with all the other deals floating around) emails are out and about.
Funny thing is, we won't use any of them. We booked 4/3 for March grown-ups only and will be using the military discounts for the whole fam in October.

When was your last trip?
I know from reading some other threads that there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to who is getting pins/codes.
Some say that to get them you need ot stop going, but some people who go yearly or a couple times a year get them regularly.
So I was just wondering what category you fall into?

I've gotten 4 pins in the last 3 months. My last trip was Nov 2008. Got the first pin two weeks after we returned home. We have gone to WDW at least once a year for the past 5 years (3 times in 2008) and prior to this, I've never gotten a pin.

We had not been since June 2007. But I have had three special offers since November 2008. The first one I couldn't use so I called and they gave me another offer that I am using this week. After booking that, I got a second offer and I am using that one in May. Then I got a third offer but it is for use with children (which we do not have). I'm hoping for another one that I might be able to use for Chirstmas!:)
I saw where Disney stock was down 24% for the last quarter. I think they are being hit hard by the economic downturn.

Frustrates me how Disney marketing works. You get 4 pins and I can not go without a pin and don't get any. UG!

I'm sorry. If I could give you mine, I would gladly share. I know how I would feel to see others get several and me not get one.:sad2:

We went in May and December 2008.

The 4/3 didn't have any dates that worked for you? Keep waiting, before you know it that deal will be good all year long! That is the best deal so far. It ends up being a 43 or 44% discount.

I totally agree that Disney's feeling the recession. I too have gotten three discount codes in the past two months. I got the 40% PIN by email, the kids play and dine free discount by mail, and the free dining PIN by email. My last trip was September 2008, and before that was March 2007.
Unfortunately, with the economy, DH does not want to spend the $$$ on a vacation right not. I'm praying for things to pick up in the business sector, so he'll let me take advantage of one of these deals!

I haven't gotten any new pins for a few weeks now, but there was a 40% off bounceback offer in my hotel room last week. I wish we could have used it.
