this is probably not really a DVC question but since there are so many BC travellers here I thought I'd ask. anybody have the goofy's beach club breakfast? Im planning my first stay on points and thought this would be a good opportunity to try this meal cause it has characters for the kids and have a look around the resort to see if we would like to try and stay there next.

if this is Cape May then we had a blast with out 6 year old at the time and 8 month old. It was loads of fun.

Went there last trip in November, have 2 yunguns, so made sense.

Typical BF buffet lineup, nothing spectacular food-wise. Good service and atmosphere.

We left a bit disappointed as only 3 characters there to visit tables (Minnie, Donald, Goofy). Having become veterans of character meals with our pre-K crowd, we were expecting at least 1 or 2 more during our meal.

Overall experience was good, would return but consider others 1st (Crystal Palace, Princess Storybook BF, Chef Mickey's in no particular order).

We did the character breakfast @ Cape May it was great. The characters spend as much time as you want at your table. Great fun for the kids!

hey I like the food. this is place is smaller much smaller than your normal buffett - so that requires them to add more food just about all the time.

if something is missing - give them a few minutes and go back - it will be there.

I was really just thinking of illing 2 birds with one stone, have a peak around the resort and eat some food with characters for the kids. I've heard of the storybook dining but I thought this would have been less crowded. I really enjoy breakfast buffets and would be dissapointed if there wasn't alot of options. Maybe we'll go back to chef mickeys

It has alot of option - but because it is smaller - the options are in a smaller area - so it requires to be refill (fresher) more often.

it definitely has less choices than Chef Mickey.

that say try it once!

This breakfast is our favorite with characters. We usually go later and the characters are so bored you will wish they would go away so you can eat! Kidding......sort of....;)

We went to the character breakfast at the BC last May. The food was good (the usual), service was great and the characters are dressed in their beach attire :goodvibes . I just looked back at my photos and we saw 4 characters that day - Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale (essentially they look the same so why have both?). We're planning on booking it again for our August trip.

dale has the red nose (I think) - chip and dale can steal food from the kids - for Mickey or Minne to do would not be in character.

but chip and dale can do it - and is some cases do!!!

Doesn't Chip have the brown nose (like chocolate chip) and Dale have the black nose? ;)

Went on Thanksgiving morning a few years back (2005). Walked over from BWV. Really liked the choices and the characters were great. I recommend it. :thumbsup2

Still don't know which is which but one has a small(er) black nose and one has a larger reddish brown nose (I'm looking at my pictures again - my memory's not that good! ;) ) If the brown nose is Chip that would be a good way to remember (choc.chip colored nose) or is that why he's named the way he is? LOL

Yup, sorry to call names, but Dale is dumber and his nose is redder. I wonder if he drinks. Chip is really nice to have stayed with him this long, imho.
Not being really into the characters, I have taken family members who wanted to go to a character meal to this one because it is so convenient to the Boardwalk. They were happy and I took the pictures.
I don't think any buffet is that much better than another, but that is just my opinion. As long as you aren't hoping to see a particular character, this fits the bill just fine for us. And saves time waiting in the autograph lines at the MK where I would rather be waiting for the rides...

Well, don't get too worried about which is which because neither Chip nor Dale is at the breakfast anymore. It's now Donald Duck. We went in October, and a manager confirmed the change and that it's permanent. It was our 4th trip, and had it been our first, we'd never return. We had the worst server ever-we had to go find her whenever we wanted anything (like letting her know we were there and wanted coffee!) But our 3 previous trips had been wonderful, so hopefully she's not there long. She was nice, just not cut out to be a server. BTW, on one trip, Goofy was sick so Stitch showed up instead (DS and DDIL)-

We ate there last October and the food was ok. The characters were good except it took them forever to get around to our table. I guess it depends on where you get seated. We never did get to talk to all of them and we weren't hurrying our breakfast because we had several hrs to waste before our bus pick up. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast at AK. The characters there seemed to keep moving along but still allowed everyone time for pictures.
