If you are going in APRIL 2009 - are you freaking out?

We are going the last week of April. I am so excited that I can't hardly stand it! I think I am more excited than anyone - even the kids!!

So what does everyone else do to pass the time? I have read every Disney book that I can and spend WAY too many hours on these forums!!

We also made the countdown chain. My kids love it and it is so much fun to see it getting shorter!

The kids think we are going to my mom's again (we go about every Spring Break for the weekend) I have taken off work for the whole week they are out for us to go to WDW and they know nothing about it! I amnot sure if I am more excited we are going or more excited that I actually have a surprise from the kids that is staying a true surprise until we actually get there (close to being there, etc) They will have no idea until they realize we are still driving after 4 hours and going South instead of North!
I am working up until we go so very little time to bask in the excitement of the trip coming up. I feel almost as if i have no time to put everything together properly. The last 2 weeks is what will probably kill me in getting things together! LOL

That's awesome! We went there on our honeymoon and had the BEST time in the world! That was almost 17 years ago. We haven't been in 11 years - so it is TIME!

We are going again(we went in December too!) the end of April and staying at the Yacht Club. It is looking like the resort is very busy that week!:eek: So much for it being a "quiet" resort! LOL! Looking forward to it nonetheless. I am debating whether or not to attempt my very first trip report. What a wonderful surprise for your kids!!! The drive is going to be hard for you!!! Waiting until the kids realize it's been too long driving! Maybe tell them you decided to try a new route to your mom's and it's taking longer than you thought??? Try to keep them fooled until they see the "Welcome to Walt Disney World" arches...it will be an amazing surprise. Hope your trip is all you dream of and more!!

Yep, 36 days, not that I'm counting or anything!! This winter has been COLD, can't wait to get some sunshine!! I think DS 4 is just at excited as me, and maybe a bit more. He's at the magical age when they believe the characters are all real. I love watching them get so excited :) I do spend a lot of time on this forum, trying to get any tips to make the trip even better!!

I keep wanting to extend our trip a day or two to make sure we get in enough rest time, but I just keep remembering last trip we were ready to come home after six days. Eight nights and nine days should be enough right? We're doing Universal the first two days (thanks to the inlaws). We'll only spend 1/2 day at AK and one full day at MK. The rest will be EP and DHS- our favorites! (I have all boys!)

I just wanted to say I feel the title of this thread.. both good and bad.. Our dates are close so we're excited.. BUT since they changed EMH daily the weeks before and after Easter.. we are freaking out! :scared:

We had planned to go to MK on April 5, Sunday.. then found out that it had EMH both morning AND evening!! yikes! :scared1:

So now we switched our MK day to April 6, Monday.. Yes, still morning EMH, but atleast not the idea of both am and pm! Anyway, my dilemma is that we had all of our ADR scheduled and now I'm scrambling around trying to fit whatever we can get!!! The thing is we have NO hoppers, are there for a limited time, etc etc.. But I've been persistent and we've got some ressies scheduled.. thank heaven.. but still no Chef Mickey's.. will my son be able to go to Chef Mickey's without an ADR??? iyayay!! :confused3

Looking for Chef Mickey's on April 6?? Anyone have one they are thinking of canceling???

I guess I am now *officially* freaking OUT! I just realized today we are exactly 4 weeks from our trip. I had DD10 try on her summer clothes last weekend and NOTHING fit except for one pair of capries and 3 shirts:scared1: I have....added a few more reeses peanut butter cups to my rear end over the winter and I am not fitting into many clothes either. I have no idea when we are going to have time to go shopping before spring break. I am worried if I wait until spring break, the clothes will be picked over. ARGH!

Could someone please wave their magic wand my way and create a perfectly fitting wardrobe for me and my DD10 and have it appear in our closets...tomorrow?:wizard: Thank you:goodvibes

We're leaving this Friday to celebrate DD's 16th birthday. Unfortunately her actual birthday isnt' until May but can't take time off from school that close to the end of the year so we're going during their spring break. We just got home and had a great time.

I questions myself thinking it was insane to stay at MK past midnight let only until 3 am when they closed but I recommend it, even if its for a little while.
The EMH were great and the wait for most if not all rides was only 5 minutes!

Our kids were well rested and didn't mind going to bed at 230. Plus getting to ride Splash Mtn at 130 in the morning is something they will never forget!

The only time you get to stay up that late is at Disney thats for sure!

Evening EMH is 3 hours after park closing - so that night the park closed at 12 midnight. I think that tends to happen in July around the 4th too.
