[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]Hi, this is my first post.
We go to dlp in two and a half weeks for 5 days, 4 nights and have booked half board standard. We cant decide whether or not to upgrade to plus, and wonder what places are peoples fav to eat at with the half board standard. We will defo be eating at the chuck wagon, and also the princess dining experience (but paying for that)
Or would you recommend upgrading to plus, is the food choice much better i know there are more places to chose from.
any help gratefully appreciated

Rendezvous des stars is a very good buffet in my opinion.

Annettes can be hit and miss, but many people (myself included) would highly recommend it.

Personally though, I'd think about upgrading to the plus - that then adds the Silver Spur, the Steakhouse in the village and Walts - all of which are places I would highly recommend and :thumbsup2

what do you get extra meal wise for upgrading fro standard to plus. Is it buffet style for standard and 3 course meal for plus

You're entitled to the same with any of the half boards - either:

- a starter, main, dessert from a set menu and drink

or

- an all you can eat buffet and one drink

The differences between the vouchers are:

- The choice of restaurants
- The face value of the vouchers should you wish to choose from the full menu rather than the set menus, or eat in a restaurant not covered by your vouchers.

Hi, we'll be using the standard vouchers and intend using them at
Rendez vous des Stars in WDS
Plaza Gardens and Agrabah Cafe in the DLP park meals covered totally by the standard vouchers.
We'll be using them at face value at Billy Bob's La Grange in the village.

BTW Did you know you can prebook and pay for the Princess meal, which is cheaper than paying at the park itself. I've done this for our Lucky Nugget meal and birthday cake. :)

If you're going with the standard the Rendez Vous des Stars in the Studios gets another vote from me. We had a great meal here, very good value. The buffet at the Chuck Wagon (Cheyenne) like someone else has mentioned was pretty good.

If you decide to upgrade I'd definitely recommed the Steakhouse in the village (fantastic value as the set menu is usually 33Euros, but HB+ covers it) and the Hunters Grill at the Sequoia Lodge is a fantastic buffet.

I can definately recommend the buffet at the Cheyenne - the Chuck Wagon - lots of different types of food and freshly cooked. Make sure you go early though as it does get very busy.

Off the top of my head
The Santa Fe and Cheyenne Hotel Restaurants, you don't have to be resident at the hotel to eat at the restaurant, so you could be staying at SF but eat one evening at Cheyenne, also included is the Davy Crockett Ranch, but you'd have to have your own transport to get there.
In the Disney Park, at the top of Main Street - Plaza Gardens a really nice, good selection buffet includes starters, main, dessert and a soft drink - this is one of our favourites and I particularly like the setting.
Agrabah Cafe in Adventureland another buffet but with a more exotic touch, gets very good reviews but I haven't eaten here yet.
In Disney Village - Annette's Diner another favourite of ours, it's an American 50's fast food cafe type theme. Another favourite of ours, huge portions !
In Walt Disney Studios Rendez Vous Des Stars - another buffet, with good reviews and one we want to try next visit.

I'd have a look at the restaurant reviews to get an idea of where you'd like to eat. We particularly like the buffets, there is always something to suit everyone and I have a teenager who eats like a horse, so it's ideal for him, but you may prefer to have a set menu in which case your options are more limited on the standard HB. The hotel restaurants are also buffets. :)

Hope this helps.:goodvibes

PS I didn't know that Silver Spur was included, it isn't listed in my brochure as being but I don't have the most recent issue. :confused3

silver spur was 100 million percent on my standard voucher.....BUT hear me out.....there is 2 steakhouses eh? It was NOT the one in the village it was the one near haunted mansion or at least that direction.....the one there that looked pretty posh, what ever that steakhouse is called thats the one that was printed on my HB standard voucher....

I don't think I'm normal:rotfl:

we may well swap agrabah cafe for the silver spur if it's on our HB vouchers then, i've always fancied a visit. :)
