Do you have to pay for parking at the parks if you are staying on-site? We were thinking of driving a few places and want to know if and how much we will have to pay. We were also thinking of spending an evening at the Boardwalk and do we pay for parking there? Can you even park there if you so not have a PS?

If you are staying onsite, you do not have to pay at the parks. At the resorts, self parking is free, valet parking is $6 (except DVC members at DVC resorts & handicapped). You can park at Boardwalk without a PS, they might direct you to the overflow lot across the street.

If you're going to the parks, you just have to show them (at the entrance plaza for that park) your ID card from the hotel. We went to all of the MK resorts for breakfast or lunch it seemed and that's all we had to do.

I've read in places where they are supposed to reimburse you at the resort before 5pm (because they charge you to park), but this was not the case when we went 2 mornings. Our ID card was fine each time. When we went to eat at the POLY they asked for our name but didn't cross reference it with anything. They gave us a 3 hr parking tag for self parking.

It depends on what type of parking you are referring to.

If you are staying on site and drive to the parks you can park free of charge in any of the park parking lots.

Valet parking at any of the deluxe resorts costs $6 plus tip regardless of where you are staying unless you are a DVC member or have a handicapped plate.

Self parking at all resorts is still free of charge but depending on what time of year you are given a 3hr parking pass at the resorts that are close to parks because some people try to park at the resorts to avoid the $6 parking fee.
