Or is that only if you're really picky about the time of the res? Do the favorite restaurants really become completely booked the day that the 90 day ADR hits? We've selected our selections, and choosed our choices and now are waiting to book for late June.

We are planning on: Akershus breakfast, Chef Mickey breakfast and the rest are dinners; Boma, Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill, Tony's Town Square and the possible maybe of Mama Melrose - we havent for sure decided on Fantasmic yet, so may switch this for Le Cellier. So with those choices, and not being overly picky about times for the breakfasts and hoping to book on the earlier side of dinner than later, is the 6am calling necessary or will any time on the 90 day day be ok?

Also, when you book for a week do you book for the entire week based on the first day of stay?

Thanks for any help on this. I've never been on the DDP before. The last time we were there was 15 years ago and we ate at the resort for the one night we stayed. Years before that when I went with my family it was in the days when you had to run into Epcot and line up at the kiosks for reservations for that night.:scared1:

You really only have to worry about being on the phone at 6am if you want CRT or dinner at Le Cellier.

Otherwise, you should be just fine with any time during that day.

And yes, on your 90th day before arrival you may book up to ten days' worth of ADRs if you are staying in a Disney resort.

I remember the days of having to run to the kiosk to get a same day reservation. It was crazy.....but I almost liked it better than having to decide 90 days in advance where and when we will want to eat. :sad2:

I thought reservation lines opened at 7am? Am I missing something?

They open at 7 a.m. Eastern. For us, that means ADRS at 4 a.m. Pacific!

Thanks PictureJumpr, I've been tossing btwn Le Cellier and Mama Melrose's depending on the Fantasmic show. I have a ds8 who is afraid of the dark and loud noises bother him, dd6 may be afraid of the villains, so not sure about it. Guess I have about a month to make up my mind and then get Le Cellier booked if we're going that way.

:headache: I really think I should get to bed. . .

I was told that even Chef Mickey's and CRT are 90 days now by a Disney CM. Was I told wrong?

You can book CRT and Chef Mickeys before the 90 day window. So if those two are one's that you want book them now. I already booked my CRT and Chef Mickey's for late May. Good luck with your ADR"S and have a great trip.
Augh! CHef Mickey's too? I've also been waiting for hours for June to be posted since we want to work around EMH's Chef Mickey's is going to be breakfast - am I going to be out of luck waiting until hrs are posted?

I repeat, I was told twice last week by two different Disney CMs that the ADR window is now 90 days for everything.

I made ADR last week for Chef Mickeys and CRT....I would call back and ask again...I hate how they tell you two different things...The first time I called they told me no, and then I kept reading that you could...so I called again, and this time they said yes....Good Luck!!

Hi, just an FYI...They were taking ADRs for CRT and CM only, up to June 19th. No other restaurants (except V&A). This is "more than 90 days" but you could make them. For any day after the 19th, and for all other restaurants, it has to be within that 90 day window. I happen to be traveling within that window in June, so I was able to make CRT and CM on the 18th and 19th for that reason (two months ago). I have to wait and call in the am early, first week of March for the rest of my ADRs... So you are not missing any chances if your trip is after the 19th :)

Ok, thanks Happydog. I'm missing that window by 2 days. June 21-28 are our dates, so maybe I'll start trying for Chef Mickeys and see what happens. I guess I can always cancel and re-book if the EMHs don't work out for us after they're released. I wish they'd have a consistant schedule for those hours.

Thursday seems to be a safe bet for early hours at MK... Thursday and Tuesday. Sunday seems to be the evening hours at MK pretty regularly ... but by summer the park hours are all so much later, it doesn't seem to be as critical. At least from my pov with little people. If a park closes at 10pm, that is already late enough... I don't need to be there past that with a 4 & 7 yr old! Anyway, good luck with your ADRs, and getting up early... ;)

Thanks HappyDog. I am trying to hit those early EMH, although I don't like to get up early, dd is usually up between 5 and 6. I'm sure with the excitement of Disney it will be closer to the 5. I doubt we'll get more than one late evening in. I'm going to try today for Chef Mickey's on one of the possible non-EMH for MK and see what happens. Looks like we'll be there at almost the same time - have fun celebrating your son's birthday!

Hi,

CM & CRT are definitely at over 90 days until June 19. After that they are on the 90+10. For CRT & CM & LeCellier since you are going to be running into other people's +10 you will definitely have a hard time booking, so plan on having those ADRs later in your week.

That said I wouldn't worry too much about being on the phone exactly when the reservation window opens unless you want CRT. And even though I called at 180 for CM breakfast, I then changed my mind and still got an ADR for dinner at 8:20 today - but that's another story.

On my 90th day I called later in the day (6:30PM) and was still able to get every restaurant I wanted though maybe not at exactly the times I wanted (7:30 instead of 6:30, etc.) And, Yes, I got LeCellier for my last night at 5:20PM and I was able to change things around later the next day with no problems. The ones I couldn't get at the ideal times were the ADRs earlier in my week which probably slammed into other peoples +10 days.

I called at exactly 90 days out at 6:00am and was not able to get Le Cellier at all that week. I was able to get Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic pkg, but only at 3:55pm, and a friend I am dining with was only able to get 'Ohana at 8:45pm. I was able to get Boma, Tutto Italia, Tokyo Dining, and Kona with no trouble though.

If there is someplace I really want to eat, I always call at exactly 6:00am (yeah, I'm on Central time too).

Just a random comment: I can't believe they start the ADR time at 7 am EST. I'm in that time zone and I'm barely functional by then. I can not imagine having to get up any earlier and make them. Ugh.

My 90 day window started last Saturday. I got up at 4am pacific time to get through to Disney dining at 7am eastern time.

It was interesting to note that my last confirmation number was 281 numbers higher than my first and this was in a 15 minute call. :scared1: Thats a lot of ADRs.

To me it was worth getting up at that time because I got all the ADRs I wanted at the times I wanted. :cloud9:
