Here is a piccie of the wands we gave to our Mum's during the ceremony. They were single roses with hidden mickeys in them and ribbon to match our colour scheme. Sorry this is the best photo I have of them.

Thank you both! The wands are very unique and really beautiful! I really wanted to have a disney wedding, but it looks like it will not work out with our families and what not, so I decided I want to have a disney themed wedding at home. The idea of a rose wand sounded really cute to me, and I would love to see if a florist back here could recreate it.
Do they hold up well?

I made a flower wand out of silk flowers for my MOH. It was really easy and did not cost too much. If you want real flowers, I am sure a local florist would have no trouble making one. This is the best pic I have of her wand

You did a really good job on it! It's so pretty!
How did you make it? I think I have some idea, but would love some input.

I bought the flowers I wanted in it from Michaels, then cut the stems apart and arranged them the way I wanted them to look. I used a rubber band to secure them and next I wrapped the whole stem in white ribbon (wired non-satin ribbon works best). To finish it off I used some sheer non-wired white ribbon to make bows around the bottom of the flowers and for the long hanging pieces. It only took about an hour and it cost me $25.

Liz~ I don't think I remember seeing your bridesmaid's wand before, you did a great job on it!
Here is a closeup of the rose wand that I got for my flowergirl. It was only around $25; I originally had a round ball bouquet for her, but that was almost $50 so I cut it to save $ and she really loved the wand! We even had a hidden Mickey crystal on it.

Okay, I came across this thread and started doing a happy dance on the inside :) I am not at all into flowers and I my personal feelings that big bouquets for bridesmaid is an incredible waste of money. Flowers have never been my obsession and I see them as being pretty for one day, then thrown out the next....Then i saw these wands!!!
We're having a very heavy Disney themed wedding ceremony (just the ceremony-not so much at the reception). I saw these wands and thought PERFECT! I'll make my bridesmaids into fairy godmothers! :) Has this been done before or do you think it's tacky? Our colors are black, ivory and fuchia, so I'm thinking of doing something with ivory ribbon covered wands, black netting/feathers and fuchia flowers. I think this will also keep costs down (am I right?).
Does Disney Floral make these wands as an option?
I'd love your input ladies! :)

I am doing a floral wand for my Sister and am glad somebody on here asked for others to post pics! They look great and I am going to make my sisters myself and have already bought the ribbon and some of the flowers.

Thank you so much. That does sound easy enough! And will definitely help me save money on bridesmaids bouquets. :)
I'm thinking about trying to make smaller ones for my flower girls too.

That sounds really cute, and I dont think it sounds tacky at all. Disney Floral does have it as an option, I'm not sure if I've seen it on the book for the wishes wedding, but its on there for the escape. It definately sounds like it would keep the cost down too.

Yes, they are an option from Disney Floral, and they're currently being priced around $45/each. HTH! :goodvibes

$45 a piece! Heck, I'd upgrade them somehow, make them a little fancier and pay $75 a pop! That still going to save a killing on floral. Love that I love this! My FMIL will hate it, but that all the more reason for me to be doing high kicks at the possiblity of doing this! :) Yeehaw!

I have a 3 rose wand on my beo for $30. That is with only one ribbon and no pixie dust though. I am guessing pixie dust is glitter???

Actually, I just remembered, those are in silk, so we can re-use them at our at home reception, so the real ones will be even cheaper, as I believe all our silk floral has included a small premium :thumbsup2

We only had one. I made it out of a Styrofoam ball, a wooden dowel, fake flowers, ribbon, and some extra fabric from the flower girl basket. It was a last minute project that only took about ten minutes, but it turned out really nice and Audrey loved it. She still carries it around and calls it her "Bippidi Boppidi Boo".
