What is there to do in Freeport without booking a Disney excursion? How does the shopping and beach areas compare to Nassau? Is it safe to rent a car? I noticed Avis has a site and by the time you pay a taxi for 4 people round trip- you could have rented a car for the day. Has anyone done this?
