Looking for something good around $300 or less.

I don't have that model but other "superzooms" like that have higher ratings, e.g. the Canon SX10 and Panasonic FZ28 - both around $300.

When I was shopping for a pns I went to Best Buy and checked out all of the latest super zooms. That was the one I liked the best out of the bunch, but it was a little too much for me with the DSLR. It took better photos in the store than the others, it was easier to use, and also got good ratings.

Why not go to Best Buy and play with it so you can see if you like it or not? The camera that I like, or the next person likes might not be the one that feels the best to you, KWIM? :)
