Has anyone been able to add the wine package to a 4/3 reservation? Our AAA agent has been told that it cannot be added. Doesn't make sense why they wouldn't want to sell us something else.

I wouldnt worry about it - from what I've read (and its been awhile - you can use the google - click advanced search put in wine dining plan - or similiar words but under domain add disboards.com)

it doesnt seem like it saves any money.... I came close to adding it for our Oct '08 plan, decided against it and rememer looking over the list at a few places where we did order a bottle of wine...

I would save us some money as we will drink a bottle of wine at every dinner and some of listed prices are far more than the price you pay on the package. Everything I have read says you can add to any dining package but for some reason Disney says no if you are on the 4/3. We would love to have that pre-paid for too as we will be there 10 nights and the cost is only about $400. Has anyone been able to do it?

again, dh and I are wine drinkers - and there are times when I thought this would be the way to go - so I've scoured the boards and not had luck finding anyone else as interested -

I will say I do love Rosa Regale and red wine, so I used to ship a pkg to myself at the resort we stayed at - - then last Oct I started looking at prices - our wine store and Italy had the same price on Rosa Regale - and even Pop had red wine -

I think you have to add any DP pkg to your ressie 72 hours before you arrive - - again, you are doing the good research -

dh and I would settle for a glass with our meals - dh often gets fish, I am the meat eater - and then when we got back to our resort we'd pop open the champagne or the wine I purchased (Italy, France...)

Are you getting or do you have annual passes? If you do, get the TIW card and you can save 20% on your alcohol purchases at the restaurants (**there are a few exceptions).

That is what we do, so we are not limited on choice or if we are in the mood for beer and not wine or both want a different kind of wine.

I was able to add it but they forgot to apply the 4/3 deal when I first called. I called back to aplly it but did not think to ask if the wine plan was still included. I guess I should call back to double check if it os still on.
