Since today is the magic 105 mark (actually 9 PM pacific) I thought I'd create a thread since no one else has.

Keeping this brief until I can get the link set up.

Hello...thank you for creating the link for 5/31/09 on the Wonder (I had no clue as to how to do it). I, too, thought that we'd be the only ones cruising! Have you ever been on a Disney Cruise before? This is the first for us and we're looking forward to it. By the way, what state are you traveling from? We're from Pennsylvania.

We are from Southern California. It's our first Disney Cruise too.

We're looking forward to it. We have our reservations for Palo dinner and brunch booked, which made it seem "real" when we hit the 105 day mark.

Random request if anyone is on the cruise. There are only two of us, but we want to go to the pools at Atlantis. We have booked a room a the Comfort Suites, which is just slightly cheaper then the Disney excursion for two people. If two other people wanted to split the room with us, we'd welcome dividing the cost, which makes it much cheaper.

Wife and 2 kids and I will be onboard of our 3rd cruise since late September. From Central Florida, so it is not a far drive for us. You are going to have a blast - Disney Cruise Line is by far the best out there for those with kids, and those that are kids at heart.

My son and I (both adults) will be cruising with you all. We're looking forward to a fun, relaxing time. We are also from central Florida, although my son spends a lot of time traveling for his work. Looking forward to meeting you.

I am a long time Dis reader, 1st time poster.

I am from Rhode Island.
Its my second Dis cruise, and DH's first. Took me awhile to convince him to go with me.

I just booked the cruise a couple days ago. Seems like there are lots of cabins left, but no space at the Palo Brunch. I am checking twice a day to see if space opens. I had the brunch last cruise and it was fab!

remlap - If you are still looking for someone to split the comfort suites let me know. We are just 2 adults also.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Karen and I just booked this cruise today with my friend and her baby son.

We have cruised previously with DCL but only on the Magic. This is will be our first time on Wonder.

Has anyone organized fish extenders, cruise meet, or anything else?

We will be working on transportation from the MCO airport to the Port tomorrow.

I hope you all are excited as us! Looking forward to meeting you all!

Have a good night! Karen

Hello!
I am Karens friend with the baby! We are so excited to take a girls trip together! We have our palo reservations and booked the limit of 10 hours of flounders time. This is my first time on the "Wonder" and I am REALLY thrilled at a last minute chance to go!
We should be easy to spot. Two women with an 18 month old at the pool who don't stop talking! Ha Ha Our husbands just don't get how we can have to much to say:rotfl:

As far as I know, nope. I'd be up for a cruise meet to meet some friendly faces on the cruise.

We too have late dining (by choice)

We are in a SPH room, but the exact number escapes me. I'm still holding out for an upgrade. j/k

I'd be up for meeting. Your idea won't interfere with dinner. However, as our first (and probably only) DCL trip, I do want to catch part of the sail away show. I'm not sure the timing, but if it all works, count us in.

We'd be terrible fish extender people, especially on this short of cruise, but I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. It's always good to be able to find friendly faces when grabbing a drink or seeing a show.

I was out on our balcony and saw someone up on PV waving, wearing mouse ears. Did you see me waving back. :)

I have no clue when we'd have time to watch a movie, but I just noticed that UP! is being released two days before we set sail.

While I have no clue when anyone would actually have time to watch a movie, odds are high that they'll be showing it in 3D on our cruise.

Right now we have early dining...by my daughter's choice. I want to try late this time but the growing girl is hungry early.
I would like to get a good spot at the sail away party which I think follows the drill? On a previous cruise we DISers met up on Deck 10 prior to and during the sail away. Up on deck 10, you can watch the show below on Deck 9 plus you can watch the Wonder sail out of the port. If you are on deck 9 you will be in front of the stage show but you can't see the sailing out of the port.

On our 2006 Disney cruise we got to see the movie Cars on the Magic before it was released in any of the theaters. So it would be great if that happened again with "Up".

Yes that is usually where us past Diser's have meet too. I was thinking that the first timers maybe want to be down on the stage for sailaway. Us adults can do sailaway from there on Deck 10. We can decided to meet before sail away on Deck 10, port side and then who ever wants to go and dance can. How about that?

Another Central Florida Family here...looking forward to the cruise. We decided to go 'last minute' in early/mid April when I saw the FL Resident rates, and couldn't pass up the deal. I must say I was quite surprised to get early seating, as well as Palo dinner and bruch reservations, at that late date, but we'll take them.

We are: Myself, DW, DD4, DS(6months)

This will be our third cruise (since 06/01/2008...we got hooked!) and we are trying to keep this one 'secret' from DD4. Since we live in Orlando, and will be driving over, I plan on sending her to a neighbor's house early Sunday while we pack up her stuff, then heading over to the port and 'see if they have any room for us' once she sees the ship.

We're a family of 3 (husband, wife, & 19 yo son). This is son's belated graduation present. This will be our first time in a Cat 4 stateroom. We've been in Cat 11 and Cat 5-7 previously. It's been 6 years since we've set sail and this is long overdue!!! I'm probably more excited about this cruise than the other 5 - but think it's cuz it's been soooo long. We're Central Florida Natives and live about 2 hours from Port Canaveral. If you have any questions for which you haven't yet found answers...I'll be glad to share what I might know with you. We don't care where the ship goes - either Disney Cruise Ship - the Magic or the Wonder - IS the destination! Both young and old alike will have a blast!!! There are a number of youtube vids that will help get you even more excited - just search for Disney Cruise! I'm just waaay to excited about this!!!

Hello Everyone,
I am glad i found this forum. This is our 2nd Disney Cruise (last one was October 2008). In the last cruise, we went with a group of 14 (family and friends). This time we are going just us 4 (DH, myself, DS 5, and DD3). My daughter will be turning 4yo on June 1st and I want to prepare special things on her special day, any suggestings?
I have not read all the posting but I see there is a "meet" time, we will like to join.
DH is looking some adult time and spa.
DS5 is hoping to play hard in the Oceaneer's club.
DD3 knows is her birthday and thinks the whole cruise is about her birthday. We made reservations to Bibbibb... boutique at downtown disney on Sunday morning to get her hair and nails done.
And i am hoping for some party time at the clubs, LOL.
Hope to meet you soon.

DS 5 is excited about seeing this movie but i remember last time we went on disney cruise in October, it was the opening weekend for Beverly Hills Chihuahua and my kids fell sleep half way through the movie, not fun brining them back to the room. We were just so tired of everything we did that day. Hopefully this time we can stay up.

TampaFmailyof4 and others,

We just learned what fish extenders were this week and are in the process of making our own. Essentially you have a decorative cloth that has pockets in it (I am sure you have seen these). The fun part is, other folks can leave you messages, and/or little trinkets (i.e. bubbles, pencils, notepads, glow bracelets, etc., party favors).

Our last minute fish extender will be made from small colored bags, pinned together and all decorated by the kids. This works since my wife can't sew.

We are also going to be decorating our door with some of the images posted on DisBoard by others. The kids will like it, and it should be fun.

Who else is interested in bringing their fish extenders?

We are in room 5513.

TampaFamilyof4 - in reference to your question if you can save seats. You can, but I would still get the whole family their at least 15 minutes before he start, just as a courtesy to others. :P

MEETING LOCATION:
is at sailaway, dockside, at the top of the stairs, come by to say Hi and meet everyone, and anyone that wants to dance downstairs can for dancing during the sailaway celebration. Is anyone wearing their grass skirt to sailaway?

Cynthia and I will be wearing our lime green lanyards from the Panama Cruise last year.

One suggestion for the children that we did on the Panama Cruise was that we did a post card exchange. I got a post card from Utah that had some interesting facts on it. It was a great learning tool for the kids and a great show tell at school.

Also let me know if you want to participate in the gift exchange or not. If you don't have a fish extender that is OK, you can use a "gift" bag around your fish.

I was wondering who is staying the night before in Port Canaveral. We are staying the night before in Port Canaveral and it's looking like we will be at the Residence Inn. My waitlist for the Best Western hasn't come through yet.

If I think of anymore questions or suggestions I will post.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and getting on that darn ship!

Greetings from Utah,
Karen

Hello Everyone,
We will be participating in the FE, even if i just get a brown bag to hang :rotfl:
Our stateroom is 6545 and our names are
DH: Hehisler (we'll work on the pronounciation later :confused3)
Me: Ana
DS 5: Bryan
DD 3.999: Vanesa (birthday girl on June 1st)
We are soooo excited! my son woke yesterday morning and woke us up and asked if he should use his Buzz Lightyear backpack or his Lightning McQueen roller bag for the trip? Of course our answer was, go back to sleep and strongly considering keeping next vacation plans a secret.
I will not be wearing a grass skirt, sorry it doesn't look good on me, but we'll definitely meet you at the sailaway party. 4 days can't come any faster for us!

It's Thursday. I can't believe the cruise booked 11 months ago is finally here.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at the Sail Away Party. I'll be the 6'4" tall guy, so easy to find in the crowd.

We're staying at the DIS board recommend Raddison. However, factoring in left coast time, we booked the 11 AM shuttle, not the first 10 AM departure.

See you at the party!

I'm so excited the time has arrived! I only had to wait one month though because I booked late. I have not packed one thing or even made a list. I think because it is a 4 day and not a 7 day. I packed way to much on the 7 day. You really don't need all that stuff. Just shorts and a bathing suit. Look forward to the party on Sunday. We will be celebrating my daughter's graduation from elementary school.
(I will not be doing the FE.)

In 24 hours (about) we should be aboard the big red boat..
It looks like the weather may be ok, some chances of storm, but i am hoping the chances of storm occur when I am having my first dinner :snooty:

Can't wait to meet you all, safe travels to those who are travelling.
We'll be driving, about 2.5hrs drive with one stop at Downtown disney. My kitchen is empty and not doing groceries this weekend :woohoo:

It rained a lot here today starting about 4:00. Hope it is not like that Sunday because that's around sail time.

I have finally started making a list and getting stuff together.

Have a safe flight all you fliers. I just have a short drive.

We are in the middle of the packing fest as we speak. And the Iron On transfers for our fish extenders are drying (if you stop by and see, you may laugh :lmao: at the creativity we had in coming up with ours in a weeks time). BTW we have early/main dining. See you dockside at teh sail away party - if not before.
