DH and myself bought into DVC Oct 08. My mum has since moved in with us - didn't like living alone following the death of my Father.

She is not on my DVC contract, but now she lives with us is she entitled to the DVC annual pass?

Do I have to get her added onto our membership?

Does anyone know?

Family members who live in your house and have a picture ID to prove it are entitled to your discount. :goodvibes

NO but she will need to have something with your address on it to prove she lives with you. You could call your guide or MS to see what they will accept since the move is recent and she may not have a picture ID available. Not sure how strict they are on this I think the phone call is needed, just keep in mind the rules are there to prevent abuse but they may make things a little difficult now and then. It's easy enough to get an address change to a drivers license even if you don't drive you can get a non-driver drivers license. Only a govt agency could come up with that name, FIL has one in PA.

:lmao:

I would call MS as well. Find out what is needed to prove she is your mother and that she lives with you. Good luck!

well I called my guide - as usual no response - emailed him as well!!!!

I swear he actually IGNORES me!!!!

She is getting all her address details changed at the moment, so I guess a bank statement with our address and passport would be ok?

Guides are salespeople and most don't have any knowledge of ID requirements and they don't want to waist their time contacting you if your not buying.

Bring what you mentioned in your last post and you will be fine.

Have a wonderful trip. :goodvibes

US Passports only prove US residency not your current address.

I would either get her Drivers License changed, or if it's another state, I would get a State ID Card.

Since DVCMembers.com says:
Who is eligible to receive the Annual Pass discount?
Disney Vacation Club Members receive a discount on the Pass for
themselves and their immediate family residing in the same household only.
At the time of purchase or redemption, your Disney Vacation Club Member
ID Card must be provided and ALL ADULTS must present a valid driver's
license or state identification card showing they reside in the same
household.

So the page is very specific Driver License or State ID Card. I wonder what they would do about MA which the offical way to change the DL is to put a sticker on the back with the new address. (I've had issues with this in the past outside of MA.)
