Maybe it's a sign, because I had a dream a while ago that my friend was going to the program (I think I mentioned this in a different thread, but I don't remember which one) and I was confused because she hadn't applied, let alone know anything about the program, and then she applied, so maybe, just maybe, your dream will come true like mine!

Yep, that's right. I would like to work on Spaceship Earth, Carousel of Progress or Space Mountain. However, I think they'll put me on Test Track, since most of the questions were related to it.

Your school is probably another exception rather than the standard rule. They test a bunch of stuff all of the time to see what works and what doesn't. this sounds like it is one of those tests since nothing on the official site remotely resembles the process you described.

Congratulations! It is SOP for them to interview and offer on the spot in PR, for some reason. My guess is that it takes more logistical planning, so they want PR students to have more time to prepare. They did that last Fall with some professional internships that wound up being cancelled for those of us in the States. The PR students were VERY lucky to have had their offers made early.

I had my interview on Monday Feb 16th. All went well as Kathleen stated she couldn't say yes or no but things went very well and looked great for me. I chose Character attendant, attractions, housekeeping, hospitality, qsfb. I am so anxious, I don't think I can wait anymore. The suspense is killing me.

No worries. Just stay positive. I was in shock today when I saw all the rejections. I then went to my mailbox and saw a large white packet! Even though people are getting turned down there are still many people getting accepted. Best of luck to you. :)

My rehire status was lifted shortly after I applied - I'm a campus rep now. However, I think you're on the right track. I think that because I was restricted when I applied they automatically said no. I'm still bummed about it though, because it took way too damn long to go through the rehire process. I waited over two months to hear back..

For QSFB, if you get QSR you stay in the one area usually. And if you get ODF you can work in more then one location. When I did QSFB, I just worked at Casey's Corner (though I could have also been trained for the other Main Street locations- Bakery, Ice Cream Parlor, and Plaza- if I had wanted).

I got a letter today from my recruiter Jannah (I interviewed with Rhonda on Feb 4th). It said they were reviewing my application and I would know by April 17th. I'm assuming this is because I'm auditioning for Character performer in Rochester March 20th. I'm getting nervous now though that I decided to wait it out and audition because it makes the stakes pretty high if you don't pass the audition, I'm so worried everything will be full. For my daughter's first semester at Disney she arrived on the second check in day in August and was placed in an apt with 5 residents who had been there for months and all in culinary (she wasn't). They all had varying exit dates (culinary is tied to school schedules) and as some left, others arrived. They did make everyone clear out of the apartment on the final day regardless if they were staying because they claimed they had to clean it for the next group.

She was then put into an apt with 5 others all of whom were extending from the prior semester which blew the whole they clean the apts theory because this apt was filled with garbage (literally) and they could not unpack (everything had to be put up high until a cleaning crew could come in).

Of that group 3 were termed in the first month (even though they had all extended) and one had moved in with a boyfriend but kept paying rent. So it was the two of them for awhile with occasional International Students placed with them until they were moved into their housing. For the last month it was just the two of them and two weeks before their check out day (yes, just two weeks) they made them move into another apartment to consolidate. It was seriously a mess.

Anyway my point here is the roommate situation can be very stable as we have read from other posters or like my daughter you can have 17-30 different roommates over the course of time with varying arrival and departure dates-- I need to ask her if she knows how many she actually had. And the worst part is they change the locks everytime a roommate leaves.

Just wanted to let those of you who didn't get in know that if you email your recruiters (or at least, in my case) they'll email you back, and my recruiter, Jannah, said I could call her and she'd go over some of the stuff from my interview with me... I guess that's good? I thought I did okay on my interview though, so now I don't know... haha. We'll see. I'll keep you guys updated.

I'm not doing well, last semester I basically failed everything..and I'm on Academic probation. Does anyone know how much they look into that? cuz if so I'm prolly royally screwed. I pray they look past it. I'm not dumb, college style learning just isnt my forte. Any incite is appreciated C:

If "they" means Disney, they don't look at it directly. But they do ask your school to make sure you meet their criteria to participate. So if your school is fine with you participating, even if you are on probation, you are fine. But if Arizona State requires you to be in whatever they consider "good standing" to do an internship, co-op, or work study type of thing, then they would be the ones who put the stop to you participating.

I really would like to be in one of the parks esp. 50 Prime Time Cafe or Sci Fi Dine Inn. I have never done any restaurant work, I have always done retail. My major is Restaurant and Hotel Management, so I think that may have something to do with me getting this role (besides checking it off :) ). I picked it because on I remember the hosts at the Sci Fi having so much fun. I guess I would like a place where it is up beat and fun, which I have never gotten that feeling from the resort restaurants we went to.

For those of you who got rejected..I did to the first time I applied and was so disappointed. I didn't know what I did wrong and thought my interview went great. I guess it didn't. But friends and family encouraged me to try again because they knew working at Disney is one of my dreams. My advice is to keep trying if CP something you really want to do.

The letter that stated I was accepted was typed on the 25th of Feb. I got my letter 3 days later. So I was super excited that I was accepted. I still can't get over it.

Hi guys!

Congrats to everyone whose been accepted so far. Its exciting to see everyone getting their roles.

I received the processing letter a few days ago...so I'm now in for another wait. Hopefully it won't take until April 17th as the letter states, but I think that might be wishful thinking.

My boyfriend also applied and recieved his purple folder yesterday!! He received Hospitality which is what he desperately wanted since thats what he wants to do as a career. I was nervous about him actually getting it as he doesn't have hotel experience, isn't a hospitality major, nor is he doing the advantage program....all things my interviewer told me were pretty much required for the position. So I'm soooooo happy for him. He'll be great, he's fantastic with people

Now the only trick is making him go if I don't get in. He's claiming he can't. We'll have been together 4 1/2 years by the time the program starts so its not exactly a casual relationship or anything. haha. But I'd be so angry with him if he passed this up. Its such an incredible foot in the door for his career.

Anyway here's hoping to everyone else who got the processing letter too!!! This is my last semester at school so this is my last chance!!!! eek.

Also just curious. I've strongly considered doing the program several times before but the timing was just never right. But in my past research I've never noticed talk of these letters. Are they new this season or did I just never notice??????

Thanks, for Transportation it was basically a laundry list of yes/no questions, whether the responsibilities were understood, if I had valid driver's license and a question about comfortability with heights since the monorail goes 70 feet off the ground at one point. I mentioned I had experience driving a boat,(inevitable since I'm from Ft. Lauderdale) I don't remember in response to what question. Transportation was second on my list, I also applied for Attractions(1st on my list), Main Entrance Operations, Merchandise, Character Attendant and QSF&B.
