NOT ONE !!!!!

Stayed at the Dolphin for 10 days... and searched!

I even stopped a woman with a lime green fanny pack... had no clue what the disboards were....

I did tell a few DVC members about the boards... I hope they register!!!

We just came back (may 9th-18th) and someone in the Dumbo line asked if our green ribbons were from The Dis!!! Woo Hoo! Jen was her name..... I beleive she posts under Ilovewdw or some varraition of that..... It was neat. Jen did NOT have ribbions on! LOL

I do know that there was another Diser at Poly COn when we were there.... never ran into her!

Sorry you had no luck! Keep trying!

Our first day at WDW will be June 7th. We will have our bags decked out with lime green ribbons, and our first day at MK we will all be wearing bright yellow t's with the multi character color Disney logo on the front. If anyone sees us, stop and say "HULLLOOOOOOO". We are staying at PO-R, so if anyone sees us there, do the same. We will be easy to pick out, my DD is in a wheelchair. Hope to see some of you!!!

We will be at POR the 4th through the 14th. Maybe we will run into each other. =0) We will have our ribbons on.

Not to dis-credit the inventor of the lime green ribbon, but.........
at least in my case where shorts and a tee shirt are the uniform of the trip (to WDW), I am short of attachment points for a ribbon. However, if there were a HAT we could wear, once again, in my case, where hair is at a premium and can't venture out without one, etc. And of course since the planning and packing for the next adventure seem to preclude a trip the the ribbon store......Just a thought.

I got mine and will be wearing it June 22-26! I will be staying at All Star Music and going to Pleasure Island, and Typhoon Lagoon.;)

I left WDW yesterday, and I also saw no DISers. On Wednesday last week, I wore my light gray DIS t-shirt all day at Magic Kingdom, and met no fellow DISers. Oh well! I second that idea for a DIS hat - that would be easy to recognize! :)

For those who don't have bags, or anything to TIE a ribbon on, I got a button pin and tied the green ribbon on to the pin and pinned it to my shirt. The pins are real cheap, like fifty cents at a craft store or Michael's

I guess I am fairly new to these boards because I have never heard of the lime green ribbons until now. Can anyone tell me if there is a previous post that told about them?

On our last trip, we never saw anyone else with the green ribbons either. I have a lanyard keychain in lime green, (the kind the kids make in summer camp), with plastic beads that spell out Cindala. It's hooked onto my fanny bag or small shoulder bag. Not one person even asked or knew what the Dis was. :confused:

This is the first time I've heard of the lime green ribbons. How do you get one? It seems to me that most people on these boards go to WDW a lot. I've actually been to WDW twice and to Disneyland once. I guess I'll shut up now and continue to lurk.

It is a way for DIS members and lurkers to recognize each other at WDW! Not everyone wears them- it up to you! I will be wearing lime green the first week of July when I go! Lime green curling ribbon is easiest to find- and easy to curl. It is ribbon that you can use to decorate gifts, so look for it by the gift wrap section. Lime green is bright, but not neon! I would love to meet others, just to say "hi"! Do a search for lime green and I'm sure you'll hear the rest of the story! Ren

I found perchasing from the site pretty easy, just 5 simple steps.

1. Select what you want to purchase and add it to the cart.
2. Go to checkout and provide shipping address
3. Select your shipping method
4. Give some contact information and a payment method,
5. confirm the order.

It was pretty straight forward and I loved the t-shirts I ordered.

FYI I tied my green ribbon on the back of my purse strap (I wear it cross shoulder) It stood out..... Coz it was so outta place and High up.... In fact it is still tied to it.

I met a fellow DISer, In line at Dumbo, earlier this month! No one since I have been back!:D

Assuming I can FIND lime green ribbon (I've found Kelly Green, Forest Green, army Green, but no lime green), I will be decked out with it June 11-16 (BC) and June 16-20 (Wonder).

We just returned from our trip 2 weeks ago and only saw one. I happened to be standing in line behind a lady (sorry, I can't remember her DISname) at Buzz Lightyear who had a lime green ribbon on (I didn't have one). We had a nice chat while we waited.

Will be staying at POR starting june 5. I will be wearing my green ribbon too. I'll be the one being dragged around disney by my two extremley excited children. Well I guess I dont mind. Im as excited as they are...

To Disneyolic,

My understanding of the lime green ribbons is that you wear one somewhere on you when you go to Disney so that other DisBoard people will recognize that you also are a DisBoard person.

I know I meant to, but I guess I was concentrating too hard on that 4500 mile road trip and keeping all those kiddos happy!!! :D

Thanks for mentioning me - our trip was awesome - I'm sure yours was too - we love going in May - hardly any lines at all!

Tho I'm not crazy about the lime green...I really like the idea of maybe meeting others on this board - of replacing that name with the face! I've got awhile until we go, but I'll probably post when I'm going and get those green ribbons out.

I wore a lime green ribbon last Aug. Tied it to the strap on my waistpack. Saw 'Creditman' while waiting for MGM to open on our first day. That was the only one I saw.We'll be wearing ours again this Aug. 12-15 @AKL. I like the idea of maybe bumping into someone while waiting in line for rides or food. It's more spontaneous! look for our ribbons!

DH is being anti-gree ribbon. I told him about it and he thinks its sily "I dont want strangers walking up and bothering us" :rolleyes: I will have to find a clever way to "disguise" it from him but not from fellow DISers!

Now that i think about it, maybe that is what keeps some DISers from wearing lime-green. They feel uncomfortable about approaching people or having people approach them.
