LOL! I will just be happy when all the darn sappy jewelry commercials are over with. I want to puke everytime I see Jane Seymour pushing her open heart necklace...a design btw my 9-year-old could have come up with. Way to go Jane...you really pushed the limits of your creativity there!

:lmao: :rotfl2: I have always thought the same thing! Have you seen the informational commercial where they show her "inspirational" painting of her design? I know, I know...art is different things to different people. Ya know, like the big red dot. But I thought the same thing: "Wow, looks like a kid's drawing."

Happy "Singles Awareness-tine's Day!" to everyone!:lovestruc

I hope they didn't pay her too much, I was surprised to see so much of her crappy designed jewelry taking up room at Kay's.

I hate the Kay commercials anyway...now those people in the Jared commercials...I want to smack.

I have a lot of pent up aggressions today LOL!

I have been single for 18 years. When I want some flowers, I go to the florist and pick out exactly what I want. When I want jewelry, I go go the jeweler and buy exactly what I want. I try to stay away from candy......but when I want some, I call Godiva or Sees and order dark chocolate filled with raspberry.

My dogs adore me! My daughter calls me every day and ALWAYS tells me that she loves me.

I WILL have a happy valentines day. I will have a happy sunday,a happy full moon.....it's all good because I don't expect anyone to read my mind and *I* am in control of my own happiness!

Shoot, if you want flowers.......go get them!:flower3:

Last year I sent a text to some friends - "happy it sucks to be single day!"

On a whim I then sent that same text to a guy I had just had a first conversation with two days earlier. Who would think that a year later he would have moved to Ohio from Mass. and we would be celebrating a year together?

Was I looking? Yes and no. I was happy but hoping for more....

Valentine's day is just a day. Go out with your girl/guy friends and have some fun. Hang out with your kids. The ads may say you should be out with someone at a fancy dinner with gold and diamonds, but that's not real life :thumbsup2

OMG! That is soo hilarious. Can you imagine? "Wow, honey, you bought me a s-e-x-y teddy bear? I'm so h***y!" Yeah, sure! What grown, independent woman out there could resist a man of such taste. :lmao: I think I'd rather have one of Jane's "kindergarten art" necklaces...in gold, mind you, since I could sell it to those infomercial guys who want my old gold - hey, more $ for Disney! ;)

Really, I'm not always so cynical...must be the tacos I had for dinner. LOL

reminds me of the time my ex-husband bought me lingerie for v-day. Than went on to explain that the place he went to had women that modeled the different items for him (that store is no longer open). Than wondered why I wasn't as excited about his gift as he was.

"Gee honey...let me go put this on for you right now!!"

LOL! You can go to Build a Bear at the mall and pick one up for $15. But hey, send me the $70 one so I can go give it to some kid who might actually like it...sigh... And send it to work where co-workers can laugh at you all year

...so I went out to eat by myself. First to Chick-fil-a to use a coupon for a free sandwich with the purchase of fries and a medium drink. Then to Friendly's for a chocolate Fribble shake.

Those Jared commercials are windless--i.e., disgusting. The Vermont Teddy Bear video was just hilarious.

Well so far so good:

treated myself to:

a massage
a tire rotation on my car (THAT was enjoyable):rolleyes1
spent 45 minutes at the gym
dinner

Friday at work I received a Mickey-Minnie V-Day pin and a heart with chocs in it.

I keep switching between the classic county and golden oldies music stations on the tv. while I gather tax stuff and just relax.

Might check back in later.

I like that...Single Awareness Day. I'm at WDW with my brother and sister-in-law for speed week at Daytona. Had dinner with my brother at Downtown Disney, now just checking the boards and e-mail at the resort...

I don't watch TV at all, and last night I turned it on for the first time in a while.. jeez were there a ton of Valentine's commercials! I never even would have thought twice about the "holiday" before seeing all the /gagtastic commercials, I can't imagine what it must be like for people who watch TV every day!

It could be worse! Today could be your birthday like it is for me. =) I had a great day, I sat around the house, treated myself to some fresh BK french fries, and watched a few episodes of The Office on netflix! :thumbsup2 It was probably one of my better birthdays honestly! Since it is Saturday I didn't have to go around in public and see all the flowers and pinkness everywhere, hahah.

I made dinner for a family friend and my daughter had a friend over. The 2 girls were being so silly they were cracking us up.

Dinner took forever, I think I cooked for 4 hours. Garlic custard, chicken with goat cheese sauce, garlic mashed potatoes (ok I roasted 3 heads of garlic, the whole house smelled like it but it smelled great!), veggies and for dessert little eclairs. I am exhausted and so full...it was a nice night.

......trying to just survive the day without another woman acting all "googly-eyed" on me!!! :scared1: I felt like I had a great big ol bullseye on my short all day! Gheesh!!!!! Glad that day is over - I too went home and hugged my Beagle then went out for a walk.
Don't mind talking with anyone....just don't get all "googlie-eyed" on me - especially on VD day!
Ok...thanks for allowing me to vent! Been single for 6 years now and loving every minute of it.:cool1:
Looking forward to my next WDW / DCL trip - October 30th - November 7th 2009.
Question: Have any of you been to MNSSHP?? If so, what's it like??? Did you stay until the park closed??? Need info please - feel free to pm me if ya want as I plan on doing a character breakfast at GF next morning before I head off to the port to get on the Disney Magic.:woohoo:

Keeping it Real here in Dallas Texas

Thanks! I did. But didn't make it to TOT this trip. Did Mission Space twice yesterday, green and orange training. Orange is much better, just remember to look straight ahead (grin). I plan to do TOT in May, though.
