Hope DS feels better soon PN96!

I don't know yet, but since DH is home problem something involving him. I did remember to bring the camera to the airport so I got a photo of DH and the kids yesterday -- he didn't know the kids would be there, so he was very surprised and happy.

Ok, my photo today is a good one. This morning I'm in my scrapbook room scrapping and the doorbell rings. Who could it be? It was the UPS man with a box of flowers for me! A dozen red roses in a vase with baby's breath and a note that says, "With love, dh."

That alone would be good. But my dh knows me VERY well and he knows I would be unhappy if he spent $50.00 at FTD. So I called him cause I wanted to say thanks and ask what kind of deal he got cause I knew for absolute sure it was a good one.

Sure enough, he laughed (we've been married 14 years) and said he knows the flower buget rules and that a business he works with regularly (he's a purchaser) called him last week and said he'd won a dozen roses for his loyalty, where did he want them shipped? Can I send a note, he asked. Sure, they said.

And so not only do have a GORGEOUS (yes they smell amazing too) dozen roses in a gorgeous vase on my kitchen counter but I have an adorable dh and $0.00 out of my pocket. Yippee!

Anyhow, the photo is of me & the box sitting right inside my front door cradling those flowers.

Today was DH's lunch. He takes the same lunch to work every day, 5 days a week. 2 PB sandwiches, a bag of chips, and three oatmeal cookies.

Oh that's a great story! I am the same way. When we were dating, flowers were great, but now, everytime I see them, I am delighted and wondering what they cost at the same time!

I'll pick a picture from the Dinosaurs Alive exhibit at the Cincinnati Museum. We are members and tonight was a special - less $ for exhibit & Imax movie.
Geek that I am, the grad student in the film is now a professor and introduced the movie. I had him sign all my ticket stubs and made DH take a photo of me with him. His name is Dr. Alan Turner. Too close to Jurassic Park to not do it. :thumbsup2

Estherhead- that is a great story about the roses- I can be the same way too. We always have a set limit for spending on holidays so he can get me something specail but not break our budget.

It's the Museum at Union Terminal. This is a traveling exhibit. Not sure where it will go next.

Gives you the info on it. It's here until September. About as long as the Bodies exhibit was.

The professor blushed when I asked for his autograph. It was really sweet. My DH rolled his eyes at me, but he laughed at me later.
