I'm wanting reviews of WCC from anyone who has celiac. I like WCC and I want to try eating dinner there with my mom who has celiac. I've never taken her there because over the past couple of years, the reviews of gluten free dining at WCC have been mixed.

What have you eaten there? Were there many options? Was it good? Did the chef make you feel welcome?

I know all restaurants will accommodate food allergies, but some restaurants are just easier.

Well it was not too recent however we ate at the WCC back in late October. 3 in my family have celiac. Im not sure on how many options, the chef came out and said u tell me what u are interested in and I will tell u if it is possible. My DH really wanted the big skillet so that is all we asked about and the only thing on it that was not gluten free was of course the cornbread. He did say some choose to stay away from the coleslaw as well because of the type of vinegar used. We decided not to try it just in case. We enjoyed it. The food was good and The chef was nice about it. :)

Thanks. I think we are going to try it since it's a great place for my kids. There are a lot of places I'd rather eat, but my DS (almost 2) is too crazy. What other restaurants did you try? Did you happen to eat at Plaza in MK?

I have not eaten at WCC with my allergy
I do not have celiac but a wheat/ gluten allergy

but I have eaten at the Plaza :thumbsup2

This is the email I got from Disney about the Plaza last year
They have a lot of options. They have tapioca rolls, steamed rice, grilled chicken, hamburger, hot dogs, gluten-free chicken tenders, amy’s mac and cheese, fries and salads. The chef there is excellent. You will have no problem.

I love the tapicoa rolls and ate nicely there:)

I have never had a rude or slow waitress there but have heard some have had problems. I liked it and felt we had good service. :lovestruc

We thought that Whispering Canyon was excellent. The cheif came out and talked to us and made my parents a whole separate skillet and my boyfriend can not have dariy and they brought him out his seporate skillet as well. They informed us that all of the meats that were servered were gluten free. They left the BBQ sause on the side for me as I am lucky and can eat anything because that was not gluten free. Both the waitress and the cheif were so accomadating and kept bringing us out so much food. This restuarant soon became our favoraites and made everyone in my family so happy to be able to eat and not have to worry. I would highly suggest this resturant. Be prepared to be rolled out of this restuant because you will eat so much food
