Dayna,
I know that you are the person to ask this, so here goes....
I was given the Moulin Rouge DVD as a present over six weeks ago now, and I still haven’t got it out of the packet, this film just doesn’t appeal to me (not that I know a lot about it). I didn’t want to return it, as was a lovely gesture from a friend, so please try and convince me to watch it. Why is it so good, why should I give up two hours of valuable DIS-ing time for it.
Thanks
Emma

I'm not Dayna, and I'm sure she'll have a much better answer than I do...but here's my two cents: Ewan McGregor is hot!! :smooth: If you don't want to keep it after watching it once - pass it on to someone else.

Well Emma, you came to the right place. I, like you, had NO interest in this movie. I just KNEW it wasn't for me. But because Dayna is such a good friend AND because I wanted to become more familiar with her and her interests  ;) I decided to rent it and watch it ONCE! My DH and I barely made it through, but in the end I was happy that I had watched it once! :D I probably won't watch it again though. ;) I think Nancy had a grand idea.....watch it once and then pass it on....... :D
Sorry, I know you said this was for Dayna, but I couldn't resist. :o

Hi, Miss Emma. Firstly, I would like to say that Moulin Rouge is not for everyone. I loved it but it is a very unusual movie. Of course, I'm an unusual person. ;)
Why I liked it?
Hmmm! Let me count the ways. :D
10) It was a sweet love story.
9) Nicole's costumes were beautiful.
8) The set design was fantastic.
7) It was campy and fun.
6) The music made it interesting.
5) I get tired of seeing the same old tired plots in movies. This was new and original.
4) The dancing was good.
3) They both have decent voices. They are not wonderful voices, but they are good considering neither one is a professional singer.
2) Nicole looked gorgeous.
And
Last
But
Not
Least
1)
EWAN MCGREGOR!!!!!! http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/naughty.gif

I haven't watched the movie, my kids did and said it was different. I do know the song "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" has become a real big thing for dance teams to do their routines to. We saw at least 10 different dances to it at competition.
