Hi Everyone,
Just got back. We went to the quiet pool and while everyone was in the spa some ducks walked in the pool.
Well, I thought it was funny since the sign says no animals.

We just returned from VWL also. There were ducks in both the quiet and feature pool every morning. (Mother and ducklings.)
Kick it up a notch!

We just got back from the Wilderness Villas and the ducks did go in the pool while people where swimming. My father went up to one of the ducks and the duck BIT HIM!. He said it didnt hurt, and we all thought it was soooo funny. I couldnt believe these ducks they acted like they were mad cause we were in THEIR POOL! LOL.

Besides the ducks in the main pool we also saw salamanders on the walkways. And rabbits on the grass.

We were at VWL in Dec. and also saw ducks at main pool during early evening... very cool....
We didn't approach them however, so we didn't suffer any duckie bites !:Pinkbounc

I like to think that it's Donald and his nephews! ;)
Seriously, though, isn't it kind of unhygenic to have wild fowl in the pool? Gross!
We've also seen ducks at the quiet pool at BWV. One evening they came in at about 9:00 PM and were still there, dozing, when we left at about 10:00 PM. It looked like they planned to spend the night in the warm water. This was in February.

I have seen children at the Poly pool try to chase the ducks out of the pool. The lifeguard imediately put a stop to that, telling the kids to "leave the ducks alone." Personally I agree with this policy, as I like to look at the animals.

Ducks are cute but they can be very messy.

So none of you have seen the snakes yet? They're not so cute, lol. Last time we get a ground floor room with a woods view. :)

The fowl aren't the most foul visitors to the pool.
Still, I think they should be discouraged

I think I've got you all beat...
When we were at BWV last year, there were two ducks - male and female - who visited the pool every morning to have a little "close encounter of the best kind!" Verrry interesting little dance they do!!
We felt like peeping toms, but it was sure fun watching!
Nature lesson on vacation. A few years back, the ducks were mating at the local park. A boy, about 16, was trying to 'save that duck from being drowned by the other one.' I didn't have the heart to tell him what was going on. Besides, it was too funny watching him splash around in the pond, chasing ducks.
