Nope not trying to be rude at all

Everyone is entitled to search for what they are looking for.

It is not impossible. Shawn and Jill,....... Cait and Bob,......... and there are others.

With this thread, you came across as very direct, knowing what you want, and also insensitive and slightly desperate. Try being just friendly and making friends with some of these women, and then deciding if you would like to pursue more than a friendship.

just a thought

No Mike its not impossible. I met my Husband here on the boards just a year ago, and have been married now just over 3 weeks. Perhaps your apporach is what is lacking. Try posting on the threads, getting to know people. Instead of just posting what you are looking for. While in a Bar the direct approach may work, here on the boards, not so much. If you are looking for a booty call, you are most likely not going to find it here, but if you are looking for a long term meaningful relationship, those take time and work.

I know of 5 or 6 couple who have met here on the boards, and 4 of those couple have since married.

So take my advice, try actually getting to know people, both men and women, because you never know when and how you are going to meet the "one"....could be through a guy you have gotten friendly with...ya know, that guy saying..."hey dude, you should talk to that girl, she seems interested". That is just an example, but you know what I mean.

I am trying so hard to stay out of this...but I just can't.

There are plenty of great, single, eligible women on these boards...however this post alienated most of them (over 40 and/or has kids) and maybe turned off the rest...who knows.

It is possible to meet women on this board...many have. It appears impossible to meet a woman on this board who meets your specific qualifications. There seems to be this attitude of I am a single, eligible guy so if I post the women will come. It doesn't work that way. Yes there are more women than men on these threads but it doesn't mean we are all jumping over each other to get at every single guy who pops up.

It's a bit arrogant and I also think many women on these threads have been through too many bad relationships to just jump on the next single guy who posts...which I applaud them for.

Try talking to them on the thread first, and then asking permission to PM.

One problem on the rollcall thread you were not allowed to reply the Op was gettin mad about that.

Mike's right: you cannot reply on the rollcall thread. But you can seek the person in whom you're interested on other boards and post a message or send an e-mail asking permission to PM.

I think the intent of the thread was probably done with decent intentions, just the follow through..not so hot. :teacher:

Though, some people on this thread should *not* be giving any advice. :rolleyes1

That said, under 40, barely....groan....and made a decision long ago not to have children, though I adore my niece ad nephews! I also like being able to leave at the end of the day and hand them back. :rotfl:

Mike, dare I ask if you’re willing to post a picture of yourself and this new girlfriend of yours from your recent trip in December?

Ok...Ive waited 24 hours before posting...and yea, I have to say it....my friend sent me the link.....I dont usually browse the solo/single sections....did I just read that the OP has a Girlfriend, AND planning a possible wedding THIS year... AND is posting a thread about looking for single women under 40 with no children.....???
Pretty ummm....."gutsy" for a more Disney-friendly word....Sorry but this thread is just pointless.....
And if men here don't realize it, the women of the DIS board warn each other of guys who have a history of issues like this....
but hey, post away...makes for entertaining reading....

Whoops...sorry "dear" Darcy....lol...sorry but that endearment has always cracked me up.....it's such an elderly term....
wow talk about resurrecting the dead....
But I will say a certain man did post years ago that he was single when he wasnt..was just looking for a new woman to replace his current girlfriend...so I didnt look at the date on the post...figured it was recent....
well Mike Im glad you finally found the woman of your dreams.....best of wishes to you both.....and many happy returns to the world of Disney!
