Room requests?

Are there others like me who do no request a room? I look at it this way, if I did request a room and didn't get it I would be setting myself up for dissapointment but this way i go, get the room that was set up for me and I enjoy something wonderful about that room. it may not have what I really wanted but in the longrun I find something suits me.:)

We don't make any requests, other than non-smoking and king bed (but we pay for king bed). I love the resorts and see the merit in each location of the resort. I'm just happy enough to be at WDW. If we have to walk a few more steps to get to the bus or if we don't see the "perfect scene" each time we look out the window, it just doesn't bother me.

The only requests we make are for non smoking, and due to allergies, that is a must!

yup, us too! Never asked except for the non-smoking thing (asthmatic kids.) So far we've had a second floor POFQ room overlooking a shady spot. WL room with view of fireworks, GF room with view of MK. Never reserved more than a standard room either. Never saw the point in upgrading a room I was pretty much only sleeping in. The feel of the resort itself and the location in WDW are the big things for me and you get that with whatever room they assign you to.

I forgot to mention I do request non-smoking plus 2 queen beds. I go with my son who is going to be 20 so that is something I need no matter what.

At one point I was going to fax requests in, but when the time came, I had trouble with the fax # so it never went through. I decided that from that point on, I would only request basic things when I made the reservation (such as king bed, non-smoking). I decided that if I didn't get all my requests (which are not guarenteed) I would be dissapointed. So I decided to just chance it! No matter what specific room I am in, I will have a fabulous WDW vacation!
