Gaillardia-Another daisy looking flower, I guess if you wanted you could make a flower garden of just daisy looking flowers, wonder how big the garden would have to be, there sure are a lot of daisy looking flowers.

Gaillardia is a great summer flowering perennial. It's sometimes called Indian Blanket, with it's browns, reds, maroons and golds all muted together, it sure look that way.

Gaillardia likes sun, an ordinary soil and grows 1 to 2 feet high. It blankets your summer gardens with color.

I really like the two-tone Gaillardia, but DH doesn't, so we don't have any in the garden. When I ask him why he doesn't like them, I get the very enlightening..."I just don't" ....response! :)

Good morning Mamu!

I have the burgundy gallardia in my main garden by the fence in the far corner. It is a beautiful plant and produces flowers from mid summer to fall. I used to have the goblin dwarf variety in another bed - but I have reworked the garden since then and it is no longer there. I rather liked the flower - it just did not survive my transplanting.
