That works out to \$12 per guest per night (3, 4 or 7 night cruises)

So if there are 3 GUESTS on a 4 NIGHT cruise the total cost for tips will be
3 guests X 4 nights X \$12/night = \$144 for your group for the ENTIRE cruise.

If those 3 guests are on a 7 night cruise the total will be
3 X 7 X 12 = \$252 Total.

On the second to last night (on a 7 night cruise at least) they give you the standard tipping guide and worksheet. You fill it out - there's a line per tipped position, then take it to guest services and they will add that amount to your onboard charges and give you "receipts" to put in the tip envelopes and you give them to your people on the last night of the cruise.

You can put cash in those envelopes as well.
