Refillable mugs?

Don't worry, it's not THAT question;) ,

Are they still selling the YOMD mugs, or are they resort specific?
Or did they come up with some other design of "generic" mug for the Celebration theme?
Curious minds want to know....

Most campers, and the cabins, have coffee pots and refrigerators (or at least, coolers). But, we love our mugs, just to use everyday at home! (and, of course, at the WL)

You have to have a golf cart for the mugs to be worth it. Then make a loop get a refill and repeat.

Soda run! That's what we call it. Jump on the golf cart and fill up the mugs. Make a few loops and go back and fill up again :thumbsup2

Oh well, at least it's a design we don't already have. We used our Dixie Landings mugs so much, most of the picture is worn off. Now the CSR ones we have are starting to show their age, so I guess these will have to do. I suppose this way people who stay at different resorts can reuse their mugs without anyone noticing?:rolleyes1 (oops, did I say that? Not that anyone around here would do that.;)

Ok this might be a dumb question but here goes.....I thought that during our visit last year to FW the word was the mugs were not life time but duration of stay mugs. We were under the impression that our mugs from last year would not be accepted this year....anyone??:confused3

You are correct. At one time they did sell life time mugs. Wish I had one.

I've bought one at the Meadow's snack bar too, but that was last year...I would check though if you are there and not at TE.

FYI- On Friday, 2/13/09, I visited the Meadow Trading Post to see if they had new refillable mugs. On my last visit, I had noticed the mugs for sale on the shelves. There were no mugs, new or old on display. I asked a friendly cast member standing behind the register if they had the new refillable mugs yet. He said, "Yes, we sure do. I have them right here." He then produced an old blue refillable mug. I said I was looking for a new one. He said these are the new ones! Same drill at Trails End. Nobody knew anything about a new mug. :confused3

However, they did have the new mugs for sale at Port Orleans. At the Polynesian, they still were trying to unload the old ones. I guess the Fort will get the new ones some day.

They are the skinny ones. You can fit them in the cup holders. I don't think you will have a problem either way. We actually use the heck out of ours for coffee when we are not at the Fort/Disney.

Which is where we bought one on the 14th. I did refill it at TE on the 17th and thought I saw some there but then again I wasn't 100% awake. I also filled it three times at WL later that same day when we took advantage of the pool swap option since Meadows is a giant hole and they for sure had the new ones as well. We only bought one, and of course the 12 yo lost it somewhere at WL but we broke even. I wish we still had it though!

There is a resort specific mug in the trading post for sale but it isn't refillable. It is cute though.
