Have any current CPs heard about the blast off party at MK? I know it should be coming up if they still plan on doing it, but they only advertise to MK CPs so it's hard to hear about it.

when they had a party for CPs @ MK in 2005. . .only MK CPs were allowed to go. and they checked IDs

The blast off was great in the fall - I highly recommend going if you can. Only MK CPs can go... posters will pop up about two weeks before it occurs.

For us, the last check-in dates for CPs was early Sept and if I recall correctly the blast off was the end of Sept.

When I did Spring 2007, ours was about February 28th or so. Reiterating lauraebeth that only MK CPs are invited.

They say it is for MK cast members only. I was a lifeguard at Yacht and Beach and still went to this event. Most of my roommates worked at MK so with some luck and good sweet talking they let me into the event :cool1: ! It was a good time! If you do work at another site they often have parties for those workers. I know lifeguards and recreation had a big party at typhoon lagoon.

What if you are a character attendant, that means you work in all four parks, right? Does that make you a MK CP and qualify you to attend the party?

Character attendants aren't scheduled globally anymore. They have started scheduling CPs at just one park.

My managers told me they actually aren't doing the Blastoff this time. (I work in the Magic Kingdom) I'm pretty bummed because I really wanted to ride Space with the lights on, lol! Oh well. :rolleyes:

not true, I was stationed at the palm/mag and attended the feb blast off party in 2005

My managers told me they actually aren't doing the Blastoff this time. (I work in the Magic Kingdom) I'm pretty bummed because I really wanted to ride Space with the lights on, lol! Oh well. :rolleyes:

It is only invitation for MK CP's...but there is no strict ID check once at the event (at least not the 2 years I went). I went when I worked at DAK, someone just asked me where I worked and I said Fantasyland :) Same with when I worked at MK...a bunch of my friends from different parks went to the event.

I hope they do it...it's good fun, and there is free food which is always good.

exactly, they only invite MK CPs but anyone can go. They don't turn you away or check IDs or anything like that.

It's too bad they aren't even willing to give us one party provided by the company. Riding Space mountain with the lights on is one of the most unique things you can experience and only CPs ever really get that chance. People can see it with lights on, but to ride it is unique.

Oh well, I'll probably be extending so maybe they will hold one in September.

There was a MK cast only preview of the new parade that comes out this Friday. It was a blast and the parade is amazing!!!


I am totally bummed that I will not get to experience a blast off party, but I totally loved the preview!

haha, I just got back from that. It was a lot of fun, I'm excited to see how guests will enjoy it. :)

well apparently they had a party for CMs(don't know if it was CP only) at DHS for toy story mania after the park closed. Idk where the hell they advertise this stuff....

At blastoff in Spring 08, they very specifically checked the PA number on the cast ID's.

They are doing some late night testing things at TSM and they need CMs to come through as guests to see how the new procedures work. I'm not sure if it classifies as a party or just a fast easy way to ride TSM!

I've heard there isn't a Blast Off this semester. DAK is the only park offering a party for its CPs. I'm sorry. :(

yea DAK is still having their CP party. It was a lot of fun last semester and I look forward to it next month.

you definitely have to be a DAK CM though because your managers give you wristbands at work and you must have the wristband to access the party.

last semester dinoland games were open for free, dinosaur and everest were open. there was a dj, free hotdogs, and free mickey premiums. last 30 mins of the night both everest and dinosaur had the lights on.
