View Full Version : For the cabin lovers, can you convince me...

That I am wrong, or assure me that in my situation I am right???

Last year we booked the free dining bounce back and got the awesome 30% off at Saratoga Springs in addition to the free dining. So I am booked 5 nights in a 2 bedroom condo. My husband and my mil think we should get a cabin. I personally would love to do a cabin as I know my 2 year old would love it BUT

We are 6 people plus baby. Me, my husband, mil, mother, 2 daughters 14 and 12. I don't think there is any way we could stay in a 500 square foot room with 1 bathroom!! Really I am just trying to be realistic...if the mothers weren't going and it was just us and the kids, i would do it in a heartbeat....

We are paying more for the 2 bedroom, but not a heck of alot since we got the 30% off...so my argument is the size and the washer and dryer...oh and 6 people and 4 beds just doesn't seem like it will work.

Anybody agree or disagree with me??? What would the cabin lovers do???

It will be a bit snug but the cabins will sleep 6. As to the bath problem. There are also comfort stations that can be used if no one wants to wait their turn. There is also this option:

As much as i love the Fort, I would, given your circumstances, stick with SSR.

I'm envisioning this scenario with my family....
 :scared: :scared1: :faint:

Gotta go with Shannon on this one - go for the space and extra bathroom. :thumbsup2

Jeez...I cant imagine having MY mom and mother-in-law in the same CITY, much less the same cabin!!!! I say rent them a room at one of the all stars and lock them in from the outside...after you and the family have enjoyed the vacation, go let them out and tell them that ya'll cant believe they didnt want to meet you guys the entire time....when they start complaining about being locked in...just shake your head in disbelief, and mutter the words "shame....shame on you...excuses excuses excuses" over and over. It will make you feel wonderful.

ok, ok....Im just kidding...........maybe!!

I'm so with you there, Rog!! Love my mom, and my MIL, but combining the 2 in a small space on my vacation.... I'd rather shove frozen bananas under my finger nails! :lmao:

Thank you so much everyone. I knew I had to come to the Fort site to get the truth...

As for locking in the room...we did a disney cruise 2 inside connecting rooms, same group minus the baby....so I know from experience the fort cabin wasnt going to cut it.

Thanks again everyone.

I love the cabins, but it is so nice & roomy for me, dh & our 3 yr. old. Too small for that many people.
