View Full Version : Curious about character breakfast, Palo Brunch, etc on Western Itinerary?

Since the character breakfast was only during the days at sea on the Eastern - How are they scheduling this on the western? Does one group of sailers have to go to the char break during a port day? Also, do they now only have two days for Palo Brunch and High Tea -- or are they doing this on a port day also?

Gee -- I guess I should have thought to check the navigators on Dave or Barb/Tony's websites before I posted.

I now notice that brunch is being held on sunday (key west) but only from 10:30-11:30am. It looks like they have a character breakfast on key west day also. I don't see any mention of high tea for sunday though?

I didn't do brunch or tea, so I didn't notice the times for them. But the character breakfasts were Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Since we didn't dock until 12:00 at Key West, it worked fine to have a character breakfast them. I believe that was the APLAPLA rotation. We had Thursday and were on the PLAPLAP rotation.

For us, we enjoyed the extra port more than we would have a day at sea. I didn't feel like we were rushed to get in the things on the sea days, but we didn't do the spa or anything like that.

I know you have to make reservation at Palo's. Do you have to schedule the character breakfast or does everyone get one during the 7 day cruise depending on their dining rotation.

Mogoofy everyone is offered one and yes it does depend on your dining rotation as to when your morning will be.

Your head server will give you tickets to a Character Breakfast. He will usually distribute these tickets at the end of dinner on Saturday night. Your tickets will be for your assigned table and an assigned seating:

<nl><li>If you have early dinner seating, your Character Breakfast will be at 8:15am.
<li>If you have late dinner seating, your Character Breakfast will be at 9:45am.</nl>

<nl><li>If you have the APLAPLA rotation, your Character Breakfast will be on Sunday morning.
<li>If you have the LAPLAPL rotation, your Character Breakfast will be on Monday morning.
<li>If you have the PLAPLAP rotation, your Character Breakfast will be on Thursday morning.</nl>
