Boardwalk Pics anyone??

We were in a deluxe club room. I quoted one of Clearskies's pictures to show you where we were. If you look at the picture, we were in the section above Seashore Sweets. We were the top row of balconies, the furthest one on the left (there's someone on the balcony.) Directly to the left of us (not the little section above Kouzzina, but the next big section) was the presidential suite (can't remember the name! grr!) We got a private tour while we were there :thumbsup2 Then the lounge is a little further down the hall and on the back side of the hallway.The name of their Presidental Suite is called the Steeplechase Suite and when we stayed Club Level there in August 2010 we also got a tour of it.

That was also the 1st time we stayed in a Deluxe Club Level Room and we were in 3229 which was right over the Boardwalk Bakery and our room was the first one when you walk towards it, if you were going to the ESPN Club or the International Gateway entrance to Epcot.

I also remeber during our Club Level stay there in December 2010 a regular family reserved it because I happen to be walking past there and saw them coming out of the room, so I guess that's the odd time when a celebrity didn't reserve it.

The room size/decor are the same as the standard CL rooms, we had two water/boardwalk view rooms (non CL, interconnecting) back in 2007, they were on the third floor a short way from the elevators.

As you look up from the green inbetween the villas/Inn they were the third floor, the two furthest rooms with the green shutters.

Our rooms were probably about 6 doors along from the elevators, so hardly any walking :)

If you look above the tree in this picture, we were the third balcony to the right with a blue and white awning. I thought the location was fairly convenient...we were close to the elevators which made getting in and out easy. The elevators were fast and we never had to wait.

Then I can see the room we had in December 2010 which was on the left side just above the Boardwalk Bakery on the 4th floor, where a bit of the roof covers the view. If you still can't see it look for the one square window shapped room next to the huge balcony on the left.

That question is just too difficult to answer!!!

Of course, we love BC - Teena in the lobby, the room decor, self-serve refill mug stations, the music around the resort and SAB are huge selling points for me. We like the kids' area in the lounge with the little tables and chairs and our kids appreciate the gummy fish in the afternoon! I've loved BC for nearly 20 years and have such wonderful memories there!

BWI CL was really great - the CMs were just so wonderful. I just can't say enough positive things about the staff there. Our pre-teen boys are still talking about Jackie and Pete and the CMs in the lounge really connected with our youngest son. It was such a warm and welcoming environment and the lounge was such a happy place. The open space, high ceilings, etc. - it's a nice space. I also liked the courtyard view from the lounge (and Illuminations at night!) Our balcony and the view were such a great part of the stay, and the Boardwalk in the morning was so quiet and peaceful. We all loved the clown slide - we wished we could move it over to SAB or SAB over to the clown slide!

Not sure what we'll do for our next visit. But I'm thinking another split stay is in our future . . .

Thanks for the reply Pixarmom. I know exactly what you mean. SAB is such a huge selling point for us as well. But I love that at BWI CL you get a good view (aside from the satellite ESPN walkway view). I like your idea of a split stay....We are going back in June 2012. Maybe we can do BWI CL for a few days then just standard room YC for a few days. I really do love SAB though and for a summer trip that is a must do. if memory serves me correctly there is nothing to the pool at BWI just a plain pool with the coaster slide? DD12 doesn't like slides so that isn't a big selling feature fo me..

DD12 doesn't like slides so that isn't a big selling feature fo me..According to the August 2011 and September 2011 Boardwalk recreation activities sheets everyday at specifc times they have games and other things which happen at the Luna Park pool. Plus they also have different Disney movies each night, so there is a lot more then just a pool with a coaster slide.

Great pics! In 2008 my DBFF and I were on the third floor below you and loved that view. We didn't get to see the fireworks from Epcot as well as you did but enjoyed the huge balcony in the mornings and evenings.

Thanks! Those balconies on the third floor (right below us) were HUGE. One night, a family had a mini party out there w/ TEN people hanging out out there. Crazy big!

I've been looking at this thread for hours and just marveling over the pictures. Now I REALLY can't wait until October! I have a few questions for those who have been there before. I've reserved a water view and requested a king room w/balcony. The king part isn't that major but what I really want is a balcony overlooking the boardwalk/lake to sit on in the evenings after a long day at the park. From what I'm reading, a lot of the water view rooms are club rooms. Is there a particular section that is available to a non-club member or are they distributed all through the boardwalk resort? Also, if I should be asked which room I want (and I highly doubt that will happen except for in my dreams) give me an idea of what would be your perfect room. For instance, in the main building, over Boardwalk Bakery or Sweet Sensations, down at the other end over JellyRolls, etc. Also, which end is the walkway to Epcot? That's in advance!!

Hey, I'm pretty sure the Boardwalk is split so one side is the Boardwalk Villas (DVC) and one side is the Boardwalk Inn (everyone else). If you are facing the water, the right side is the Boardwalk Inn, and the walkway to Epcot is also to the right. I have only stayed in the DVC rooms so I'm not sure which room would be the best, but anything with a boardwalk view will be wonderful. You can sit out there and people watch, it's so relaxing. :) I hope that helps! I'm excited for you!
