Am I dreaming...or am I really going to the Contemporary? Pre-Trippie-Completed

Well good afternoon everyone!

Here I am...back for a Pre-trippie... hoping a few people will read it.

I'm PopArtGal..but you can also call me Christy. I am 25 years old and will be 26 on February 20.

So I will be 26 during my next trip to the world.

It will be my........ 10th time at the World.

As you can see in my siggie, my very first visit was at the age of 2 years young.

I guess it sparked something in me.

My parents and I will be at WDW from July 19 to August 2.

All aboard!

Here are the places we'd like to eat at. I so can't wait to be able to make ADRs!

- Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner (we've been there for breakfast before)
- The Plaza for lunch(A tradition since 2007)
- Sci-Fi for lunch(Also a tradition)
- Tony's for lunch(we had a ressie in July, but cancelled since we didn't feel so good)
- Le Cellier for lunch (never been)
- Chefs de France for lunch (never been)
- Tusker House for breakfast (We've been there once).

We also want to do the "Keys To The Kingdom" tour. In july I did the "Mickey's Magical Milestones"tour and really wanted to do another one.

We will be leaving July 19 from Montreal at 8:30am. Supposedly we'll arrive at MCO at 11:44am.

Of course, we are taking the Magical Express. Could not envision it any other way.

We will be coming home with a flight to Montreal leaving at 12:30 and arriving at 3:39pm.

We will be staying in a Garden Wing room at the Contemporary. Our very first time there.

Hey guys!

What a hard week!

My students are being brats. I have to scream a lot. And I hate it. I have some very hard groups.

I even have a nerve that feels kinda stuck in my neck.

At least I worked off that bad energy at the gym tomorow.

I also tried to see if I can see the surgeon earlier...but my appointment has to stay February 26.

See, I need to have my gall bladder remove. It's painful... headaches are constant... digestion is bad...and I feel sleepy all the time.

I wanted to see if I could meet with him earlier to set a date...but can't. So it will have to wait.

And once I get the surgery done, I need to take 2 weeks off to rest. It may give me some time to read. I started reading "Twilight" today. I had some time off between classes. I am now at chapter 8 hehehe I love it. I love Edward ;)

Ok... back to planning....

The surgery shouldn't be a problem. I talked to reps from my travel insurance company and they said it shouldn't be any biggy. Even if I don't get the surgery before, I have to warn them. So either way, I kinda need it.

So I'm hoping that I won't need to cancel it.

I've had a rough year, and I need this trip for me mental health... If you don't know what happened to me last year, you may ask. If you already know, you know what I mean hehe

Just received an e-mail from Air Canada. How flight now departs Montreal at 8:05am and we are flying back at Noon on August 2. Well 12:05 hehe

To tell you the truth.... there are classes where I love my job. I feel great with them, they have fun, and so do I.

Then there are classes where I want to die because all I can do is punish them, and give consequences. There's no fun in that, and they are such brats.

It depends on the year, it depends on the grade they are in, it depends on the group :)

Today's my b-day!!! Yay!! I'm 26 ;)

But I have a bad cold that started 2 days ago :( My nose is so red my colleagues were begging me to put lotions on it hehehe and at the Parent-teacher night yesterday, everyone told me to rest, and they were thankful I was not shaking their hands hehe

So I took the day off. Will nap, drink a lot!, and maybe read and watch tv.

Unfortunetly I feel worse :(

So i won't be attending the family dinner planned tonight for my cousin (his b-day is the 28th) and I.

I'm sad....but I feel like crapola :( Got a fever, my ears feel weird, stuffy nose, my throat hurts... you know the feeling huh?

So my parents will be bringing me my gifts hehehe I was looking forward to see my family. But hey...gifts help a bit to make you feel better, right?

On another note, I saw the surgeon today. I'm having my gall bladder removed on March 10 at 7:30 am. And I have to stay off work for 4 weeks. Yikes!

I'm terribly nervous and scared even though that's not what I tell my parents. I never had a surgery and hever been asleep during a procedure.

I went to chapters and bought: "Shopaholic and sister" which means I've got the entire series, Joan Rivers "Murder at the academy awards" and cool earbuds.

Went to homesense and got a cool set of 3 Rachael Ray knifes. I was so excited.

Well guys.

Nothing really new here. Trying to prep for my operation. I have to schedule all the work my students have to do for 4 weeks. So that means I have to plan for 9 groups, 3 different grades, and 2 different subjects.

It's stressing me out. Not just the planning but the surgery. I'm having problems sleeping and such.

I've been discussing dining plans with my parents.... If only April 20th could get here sooner hehehe

And since we are arriving earlier in Orlando than we thought(our flight now arrives at 11:30am) my mom and I thought maybe we could do an ADR that night since we are always famished when we get there.

So we were discussing either going to Tony's that night, or another Chef Mickey's for that night. It would make us go to Chef Mickey's 3 times. Well 1 for breakfast and 2 for dinner. Or just 2 times as we'd change our plans for the second dinner and either not book it, or book something else.

On another note, I received my last b-day gift.... Tinkerbell: The movie. I'm happy. I love Tink! It's even my nickname hehehe A friend of mine calls me "Fee Clochette" (Tinkerbell in french).

So since I didn't receive the 3 other books in the Twilight saga I just ordered them on Amazon and will receive them next week!! Yay!! I got like 10 books lined up for my recovery time hehehe I can read a book in 3 days if I'm really into it. I normally don't have time to read anymore. But I'm making time for it.

So I just want to the store to buy a nice laptop. I fell in love with a nice HP Pavilion with a 17" screen. Well guess what.... They didn't have it in stock. And have no clue when they are going to receive it.

Well I went on the HP site and ordered it!! YAY!! So excited!

Can't wait for it to get here.

Oh and Im still planning for my classes. So stressful I almost had an anxiety attack yesterday. Or that was maybe because I'm getting scared of the operation.

ok... so my surgery was scheduled for 7:30am. Well they open at 7:30. So by the time they surgery was taking place is was probably something like 9am. The nurses were sooooooooooo nice. Went I got into the operating room there was like 10 nurses and doctors. I was informed it was an "orientation" to remind them what to do. Great... just great! So they "put me to sleep" and did the surgery. I woke up with a sore throat and a bit of pain in my belly. By around 11am I was in a room. My parents were with me. Apparently the surgery was taking a long time and my parents were getting worried. But all was well. I had to stay in a room with another person. She spoke to herself. Poor lady. It was a bit disturbing. She was in a depression or something like that. Kept on saying she was dead, and that my grandma (her aunt) was dead. No she so is not! Anywayz. There was also a lady in the area that kept screaming for water, and for a nurse and so on. Let's say that I did not sleep that well. They kept taking my vital signs every 30 min, or hour to be sure I was fine. Like I said, the nurses were great.

I've been home since like 10am yesterday. Got pain pills... Not in that much pain though I have to sleep on my back. And I normally don't sleep on my back. I was so swollen when I left the hospital that I could not zip up my pants. I look pregnant lol So now it's nightgowns all the way. Hehehe So I don't have a special diet. Just need to be careful with fat. I will be able to take a shower today and remove my bandages.

That's mostly it. Oh... my parents gave me "Pinocchio" as get well gift :)

Just a little update.

I sleep a lot.... can now sleep on my side which helps. I'm in bit of pain though. Especially the wound that is under my breasts. It's the bigger one so it's normal I guess. Thank goodness for painkillers.

I woke up to notice that I had a huge bruise where it hurt last night. And it had bled a little. Not that much since there wasn't anything on my nightgown. Took a shower this morning and it all looks fine I guess :)

I read a few TRs, I am watching some "Friends" episode. Actually I think I'll manage to watch the entire series while I rest hehe I also scanned some pictures. I'm trying to scan all the pictures we have, throw away the doubles and put them all in albums.

Yes, it's 4 am and I'm posting. Let's say I don't have a regular sleeping pattern!

Yesterday my mom went to "Jean Coutu", a drugstore, and when you bought for 40$ of cosmetics you got a cute passport case. So she got me one! Woohoo!

It's not the greatest thing in the world but it's still cute!

I'm healing kinda fast if you ask me. My "stitches"..you know the small plasters thingy they put at slowly falling.

Although the bruise is still painful and I got a constant headache.

Yesterday my mom told me that she is starting her list for the trip as to what we need to buy. Glad to see I'm not the only one with trip on my mind! hehehe

I'm glad you're healing quickly; but, you need to get back to a normal sleep schedule! I was sick and out of work for a month a few years ago; my schedule got so off. It was horrible to get myself in to the old routine once I went back to work!

All my stitches fell out. The last one was kind pulled as I turned in bed. I think it's a good thing. There was a lot of dried bloode and it seems it healed on the inside. Meaning it's not open. But the top layer of skin is open. So maybe it needed air to completely heal. So I put a band-aid over it just to be sure. Gonna ask my mom in the morning if she thinks I should go see a doctor.

I'm a bit worried about our the incisions are healing. There seem to be a bit of blood and "mean" thing a bit. Used some peroxide and will see tomorow what it looks like.

I'm so mad!!! When we made the reservation the CM promised we had a Garden wing-garden view.

I read my reservation today again and it says garden wing-standard view!!!!!!

I called and we have been charged for a standard view and it didn't say garden view and I had asked specifically not to have parking lots or anything!

It's not like I imagined it...my parents were beside me!!

That is a good attitude to have about it and you never know as the final payment deadline approaches rooms may open up as people cancel. Just keep checking back. :thumbsup2

Quick update.

1. I went to see Britney Spears in Montreal yesterday. It was AWESOME. Ok...maybe I'm a bit biased since I always loved her and am a fan. But the show was great and VERY entertaining. I didn't care that much about all the erotic stuff...but hey, I know what I was getting into,right? Oh and she doesn'T dance as good as she did. But good show. She's coming back on May 5. I'm sad that I won't be able to go, but I can spare that much money once again.

I had NO intention of seeing this movie but my fiance really wanted to see it so we watched in this weekend. I did NOT read the books and really wasn't interested at all. That being said, I thought the movie was ok. I have to admit, I was entertained, at times but there was so much about it that was just bad...the over-acting, the silly dialogue, the swirly camera angles, the extreme close-ups and that lead actress's terrible stammering scene. Tom and I were giggling a lot at how bad some of it was. I also thought it was kind of rushed, like, oh, all of the sudden they're in love? How did I miss that? Get away from me, I want to eat you, but I love you? I really didn't get it. My bff said it's much better explained in the books. I also didn't like how the auther just chaanged the rules of vampires. Other than that, I did enjoy the fighting scene in the dance studio and the baseball game and sometimes Robert P. looked really hot! (except when he was "glistening in the sun." whatever!)

Hi everyone.

Ok time for an update.

The trip is coming soooooooooooon :)

Started packing my carry-on. I know I'm crazy. But so far all I have in it is a pair of slippers (my feet get cold during the trip).

Today I will do a list of what I need to buy and start buying it.

My health is ok. Don't feel super healthy yet. Seeing the doctor on April 2. My job is calling to see about documents they are suppose to have but don't. Just a pain in my behind if you ask me. As I always do what I gotta go. Being told by my boss that Human Resources can't reach me, and knowing they only called once the day before, is frustrating.

I am doing a bit of cleaning up in the house. I'll move within a year or two (out of my parents house) and started putting things in boxes that don't need to be out. Giving a lot of stuff away. Wow it feels good to be decluttering. And found my Backstreet Boys autographs (I met them in 1997) and got them laminated today. Woohoo! Exciting to find stuff you didn't see for so long.

So back to the trip...

The trip is 18 weeks away!

End of the school year is 14 weeks away!! YAY!!

I can't wait for April 20 which is the day I can make ADRs. Thing is, I got a meeting at 8am that morning. So I probably will only be able to make ADRs at night.... We'll see :)

My parents are both getting excited. Ok, maybe not as me. But I can't wait for the 3 of us to be together in WDW again. Last time was 2006. My dad is not much of a traveler.

What I like going with both of my parents is that my dad is my early morning companion, and my mom is my night companion.

As my Easter gift, my mom is paying parts of it. hehe So Now I am waiting for it. The package has been in a city 40 minutes away since 8:30am..according to UPS. So I'm thinking it'll arrive today. The fact that my mom and I have been around Christmas time did work a bit. It was our best trip ever. My dad wasn't with us at the time since he couldn't get off work.

My first idea was to go for Christmas 2009. Unfortunetly, I didn't plant a money tree in the backyard. So it would not be impossible with the economy right now and the value of our dollar.

But my dad told me today that we could envision it for 2010 if the value of the dollar wasn't that bad.

We've been talking about it for a few years since we always feel that our family parties lack magic. And we think our families wouldn't hate us for not being there for one year.

At least I got this July trip to get me going.

We'll see what happens after hehe

Sci-Fi is not the best food on property but it's such a fun atmosphere that it's a must-do for us! I've never eaten at Chefs but from the pics I've seen on these boards, we are trying it this time, too!

We have never been to Chefs de France. It's a first.

But we've been to Sci-fi twice before. WE love it. MY mom always has a chocolate shake. She recommends it (though not as good as Ghirardelli's but still good), I tried the vanilla and I tried the cookies and cream and they also were good.

My mom and I always split a cheeseburger. We don't eat that much at they are big!

Plus last time, I tried the onion rings and they were gooooooooooood. Though too much for only one person hehe.

We love the atmosphere.

We ate at Sci-Fi about 3 times already and it is awesome. We love the idea it reminds us of an outdoor drive-in and we sat in the cars. The food is ok and we ordered mixed drinks that came with blue light up ice cubes that you get to take with you, of course there are 'extras' but well worth it. Have a great time!

Just wanted to say that I took care of another thing for the trip. My travel insurance. I called and provided details of my operation. I don't need to send them anything from my doctor. But it would help to carry/bring a letter from my doctor with me on the trip.

I have my cousin's first communion tomorow. I hope I feel ok for it since I bought a dress for it. I don't really own anything fancy. I mostly go to work in jeans and t-shirts. I know...bad teacher lol

I had a horrible day yesterday. I finish early. Well at 2:35 instead of 3:55. I just want to crawl into bed and spend the week end there.

The kids of my last period were horrible and mean. I asked for more adults to come in and they only stood there and did nothing.

5-6 kids vanished and decided the class was over like 40 min earlier. One kid even told me she was bored and the only time she had fun was with the other art teacher that replaced me.

They made a mess of the classroom.

I wanted to call the principal right away and tell her to find someone else to teach that class.

I didn't.

I'll make do. Only 10 long classes with them left. Urgh!

I went to the gym and tried to put all that negative energy into the treadmill and other exercices.

This morning I still feel a bit bad. Gonna see some of these students again this morning since they are in my ethics class. Ugh! I'm so not made for Secondary 1 (8th grade).

Today's gonna be a fun day even though I really feel like staying home and sleeping.

My friend and colleague is a singer/actor and he's "Best of Broadway" in Montreal. He gave me tickets. So I'm going to see him today. Woohoo! I love all musicals so it should be fun.

The friend accompanying me wants to stop by Urban Outfitters on the way. I introduced her to the store and it's my fave of all time, so I'm not complaining hehe

I saw the cover of US Weekly with Jon Gosselin (from Jon and Kate Plus 8) with another woman and that kinda made me sad.

I love that family so much.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The media has been hyping this up for a week and it has lost momentum. The swine flu is no more dangerous than the 'normal' flu. There has been no deaths in the US(there was one 19month old who died in Texas but he was from Mexico and was imuno-compromised) and most people haven't even been hospitalized.
