Hello- just thought I would start a thread for those of us at BLT that get to make our reservations this morning. (I hope I get through now and that I haven't jinxed myself by starting this thread) Let us know:

how long were you on hold with MS?
what room/view did you get?
was the reservation what you wanted or did you have to make any adjustments based on availability?
when will you be going home?

and any other info that you would like to share with BLT owners.

WOO HOO!!! We got our One Bedroom MK View for Dec 3rd-Dec 6th!! I only waited about 30 seconds or less really...just for it to ring to MS and for it to go through to a CM!!!!!! I called at 7:59am!!!!!!

I was so excited to get through, and she was very quick about booking it. I had all my info right in front of me! She gave me the conf# and I asked twice, "So this really means we have the MK one bedroom??" and she said YES. I could tell she was happy for me but ready to take her next call so instead of asking another question (which I can do at another time) I hung up so others can get through!!

We made 2 reservations...std studio Oct 8-12 at BLT and a std studio Dec 10-14 also at BLT.

Booked a studio at BLT for 12/31 - 1/2. Couldn't get MK view for night of 12/31 so booked LV. Have MK view for night of 1/1 and wait listed for 12/31.

Finally done. I booked a 1BR SV close to the elevator on a higher floor for 10/25/09-11/01/09. :cheer2: Had a very nice CM who explained what I could request and possible get since I had no idea.

Got exactly what I asked for once I finally got to MS!!!

How long were you on hold with MS? About 20 minutes - the hard part was actually getting to MS - got a busy signal from 8:59-9:42 (Sigh). Once I got the phone to ring in, and got into the automated system, it was only about 20 minutes.

What room/view did you get? I got a studio with a MK view!

Was the reservation what you wanted or did you have to make any adjustments based on availability? I got exactly what I asked for on the first try!

When will you be going home? It was January 8-15, 2010!

I also booked a Treehouse Villa for October 15-22, followed by a 3-day cruise on the Disney Wonder! I'm looking forward to both, as it will, of course, be our first stay at a treehouse and it will also be our very first cruise!

Well I got my reservation, the exact one my family wanted/needed. I was unable to get through for 1 hour and 21 minutes, hold time was 25 minutes and speaking with MS was less than 4 minutes (it would have been less but I did have 2 newbie questions and had to wish her much luck and patience for the rest of the day- Sophie was a wonderful MS CM.)

We (DH,DD(2), my parents and I) will be staying at BLT in a one bedroom lake view from Nov 30th to Dec 8th. My In-laws are staying at SSR so I am so pleased that DD will have a disney trip with all of her grandparents to look forward to and treasure for years to come.

How long were you on hold with MS? About 25 minutes - This was of course after a full 75 minutes (yes, and hour and 15 minutes) of frantically hitting redial about every 20 - 30 seconds.

What room/view did you get? Studio - Lake View.

Was the reservation what you wanted or did you have to make any adjustments based on availability? We wanted a standard view studio, but it was sold out on 12/31 - go figure. So we took lake view instead. When DH and I were discussing our final plans yesterday, I did look at all the views/points for that day and told him that was a possiblilty but we both agreed that since those were the dates we wanted to travel, the extra 13 points was ok if that was all we could get.

Hello, everyone! We are new to DVC and are thrilled to have made our first reservation at BLT, for Nov. 21-17, a 2-bedroom with that wondrous MK view that we all prayed for! We had three phones dialing and were reserved and done in 14 minutes. I think we had a little pixie dust sprinkled our way!*** Super Happy Dance!

How long were you on hold with MS? 2 hours and 5 minutes redialing. 25 minutes on hold...total time to book 2.5 hours ABSURD!

What room/view did you get? studio lake view (wanted MK view but wasn't avail for 1 night. I didn't want to risk it, so WL whole week MK view.

Booked a SV studio, for December 5th and 6th, at BLT. Just DH and me this trip so we are super excited (first trip alone in over 5 years!).

Wanted a Grand Villa with MK view for 12/27 thru 1/2. No availability. Booked a Grand Villa with a lake view instead, and wait listed the for MK view. I never heard of "special" number for members with over 1000 points as I would have qualified for that. I'm disappointed that MK view was unavailable. CM told me that there are a total of 14 GV's @ BLT. Six with MK views and eight with LV views. My requested ressie with MK view was going to be 919 points. Hard to believe that all six MK view GV's would be gone by the time I got through. We gave it a good effort, now we will just wait for the results of the waitlist. We are disappointed though.

When I finally got through it was 25 mins on hold and I did get what I wanted, a LV Studio for Marathon weekend.

Wanted a MK view studio for Labor Day weekend and only got the Monday night. Decided take Bay lake view for Fri, Sat, Sun and wait listed for those three nights for the MK view--really don't expect those to come thru at all, but it never hurts to try.

I realize that this is opening weekend and all, but I really think that this will be the norm in trying to book BLT., making that 11-month window even more important.

We just got done making our reservations (we were on hold for 25 minutes). Wanted 1bd MK view for 9/17-9/21, but MK view was gone. I had my heart set on MK view for our first trip, so we splurged and got a dedicated 2bd MK view. I figure that's okay ... this will likely be our last big trip with our son before he graduates from high school (except for that free cruise next year!) so it'll be nice for him to have his own bed rather than a sofabed. Plus, I'm hoping to have our niece and nephew spend at least one night with us, so it will be nice to have the extra room there, too. :thumbsup2

We started calling at 9am and finally got through at 10:30. My sister waited on hold for 20 minutes. Our reservationist had compuiter problems and had to call us back. Ten minutes later she called back with our confirmation for a one bedroom MK view Oct. 29-Nov. 5.

Unfortunately as we were running errands later in the morning something started to feel wrong about the point totals we had been told when we were called back. We checked as soon as we got home and saw we had been booked in a lake view. Not what we wanted, if we didn't get MK we wanted standard to save points. My sister called back and waited on hold for half an hour. New reservationist listened and then she put us on hold while she researched. She told us that MK view was never available at the time of our call but we would be put on waitlist for MK view. We don't know how this happened since the first CM even had us drop a day off our trip since were 2 points short for the MK view on our original dates. I am wondering if they can go back and listen to recordings of the original call because she apologized about the mis-information.

I doubt that all 6 mk view gv's have been released for points yet especially holiday week, because I'm sure they aren't even close to selling out points yet. They will keep "inventory" for cash reservations only until the points are sold.

I got 2 studios for October 17-19. DH's birthday is the 18th. One is MK and the other is LV (for DD and her family). Then DH and I are going back Dec 19 thru Jan 2 with a LV. No MK available then. But I am happy with what I got. And I can't wait to try BLT.

I was going to wait until tomorrow to make my reservation, until I started seeing people on here not getting what they wanted. I started trying at 10:15 CT. I got through around 10:30 and then spent 20 min. on hold. I was trying to get a one bedroom, MK view for Sept. 9-11. That was taken, but they did have Sept. 3-5 available. Now I will start my trip at BLT and finish at SSR.

It is a good news/bad news situation. DH's birthday is on the 9th and mine is on the 11th, so we wanted to be at BLT on our birthdays. Now, our planned days left us with extra Developer's points (can't have that), so I added an extra day onto our trip.

DH had decided that it was more important to have a MK view than to be at BLT on his birthday.

I got through FOUR TIMES, only to get disconnected after listening to all the menu options. After I finally got through, I was on hold for about 15-20 minutes before I was able to make my ressies.

What room/view did you get? I got a studio with a MK View and a studio with a Lake View!

Was the reservation what you wanted or did you have to make any adjustments based on availability? I had to make adjustments to my NYE ressie...MK Views were already booked, so I just booked Lake View.

When will you be going home? I made ressies for 12/22-5 nights, and 12/28-5 nights. I won't be able to go this year :confused3 , so I will be renting these out. BUT I will be GOING HOME for the first time for President's Week 2010! I get to make that ressie next month.
