Hi All,

I have just joined up and want to ask a quick question re the eurostar.

We are going to Euro Disney in May for our 7th time, but this is the first time we have paid extra to travel First Class on the direct Euro Star to Disney (on way back only!!!).

Can anyone tell me what food options we will be given ... with eight of us going and some of us "fussy" about food I was wondering if you have a variety of meal options.

Thank you for your responses.

Hi eeyorefanuk, it's over three years since I travelled on the Eurostar so things may have changed but if it's still the same then it's a set menu.

This is taken from my trip report in August 2005

and we were served a delicious meal of chicken breast in sauce, cheesy potatoes and mange tout followed by chocolate mousse, a Disney chocolate lolly, wine and tea or coffee. We were even given a couple of bottles of wine to take home with us! :drinking1 Remind me not to eat a large lunch on departure day next time we come! :rotfl2: I would hope they've changed the meal by now:rotfl: but it gives you a rough idea of what to expect. I'm sure there were cheese and biscuits too.

After eating exactly the same meal on two trips we opted for a vegetarian meal on our third trip for a change, this was a pasta dish and was very nice. You are able to choose a vegetarian, kosher, child meal etc when you book your seats or else you can telephone Eurostar and request them up to something like 48 hours before you travel.

Hopefully someone else will be able to offer slightly more up-to-date info. :goodvibes

we went leisure select in Sept and we had the choice of a cooked breakfast or pasties on the way out and 2 choices of hot meal on the way home, i think it was a chicken pasta thing or beef and veg. i had the beef and roy had the chicken and we had half each! you also get cheese and biscuits and i think we had a small salad as well. the family accross form us were very fussy and they seemed to accomodate the requests, someone said they wouldnt each chick or beef and they found them a vegatarian meal which i think was stuffed mushroom. i remember the fod being ver good tho!!! :goodvibes

Everytime I've been (about 5 or 6 including non-dlrp trips) breakfast is a bacon/sausage/omelette affair with rolls and croissants and jam and yoghurt. Also orange juice and tea.

Dinner is normally chicken in a sauce of some kind, with rice or potatoes and veg. Also served with rolls and a dessert and any drinks you fancy. I had the vegetarian once and it was a vegetable lasagne/canneloni type thing.

Thank you all for your swift reply. :thumbsup2

This is my first time on this site - I have never joined any other "forums/facebook etc"

I only joined after I told my husband how friendly everyone was .... it feels like one big happy disney family!!!

In December, breakfast was rolls, croissant, mini fry up etc.

On the way back we were offered a chicken dish or omelette. Although we had selected 'childs meal' when we booked, our 2 kids were also offered the chicken or omelette. I had the omelette which was OKish but the chicken did not look good - was abit pink in the middle and none of my lot felt comfortable eating it - luckily we were all still pretty full from Disney!

Thank you .... I hope I have done right .... my husband and I have secretly upgraded to 1st class on the way back for all of our gang (eight of us) ... the thought was we could have a lovely meal on the way back rather than pay for another meal in Disney or wait until we get back to our hotel which is quite late!

i have to say i have always found the upgrade on the way back well worth it, the seats have so much more room and there is normally more space for luggae so its less stressful, i am sure you will enjoy it :thumbsup2
