Last year my family used the dinning plan and felt we spent more time trying to get to an ADR's every day instead of spending time in the parks. We want to have 2 character meals this year, so if we use the quick service plan I will have to pay for the character meals and by the time I do that it will be cheaper to get the regular dinning plan. So my question is, as dumb as it sounds, can you use a table service credit for a quick service meal? or just at a table service meal which locks me back into daily ADR's

The short answer, no.
Now for the locked into ADRs. That is all in planning and expectations. If you are staying at a hotel with room service, for 2TS you can order RS, credits cover the tips too! You also can choose to wait vs plan and eat at ESPN Club or Beaches & Cream with those ADRs. You can also call each day to find meal reservations to fit your park plans, but no guarantees there.

Consider booking a dinner show like Hoop de Doo Revue or a signature dining to round out your character meals...then you have some fun/quality ADRs but something that will give your schedule more flexibility, without a daily ADR schedule.

We are doing the CS dining plan for our March trip and even with paying OOP for Ohanas breakfast and Trails End dinner, we come out cheaper than the traditional plan. You also have to figure in tips for that plan which adds to your total too. We dont like being chained to ADR times either which is why we went with the CS plan- plus you get the resort mugs which would cost us about $65! More RIDE TIME for us!!:cool1:
