I just wanted to let you guys know that I had sent a complaint letter to DLRP about the state of our room when we got to the Santa Fe (see my trip report from last November). It wasn't a bad letter per se as I love Disney and can't be angry at them for more than a day but I did say how disappointed I was at having missed my first day in the parks waiting for another room that had light bulbs etc.

Anyhoo, they wrote back a really great letter and offered us a free night with 2 day park hoppers so we're going back in September, 1 night at the Santa Fe and then we'll do 2 nights at another hotel, preferably one with a pool :)

So i'm excited and hope I can feel a bit more magic this second time around, especially without the cold...so bring on our 2nd trip! :cheer2:

Am off now in search of a new ticker :cool1:

3rd week I think, going on a Wednesday, we'll go for 3 or 4 nights, maybe go to Paris for a day, make it a mini holiday :) Am hoping with my Dream pass that we can get a good 40% off deal for an onsite hotel.

Sept is a great time to go, low crowds and nice weather.

I sent my letter on 3 January and received a response from them the next day saying they would write to me in the future via Expedia as I had booked through them so they sent the response to Expedia.

I was so happy to hear that they were addressing my concerns about a room being in that state and didn't even read the sentence about the free night and park hoppers at first, it wasn't until I read it out to my husband that I realised they had done that, you'd have thought I won the lottery I was so happy :cheer2:

Hope we can all get together in September :thumbsup2
