Can you please enlighten me.
When and how do you get free dining? :)

Free Dining is usually offered first to Disney Visa Cardholders and then shortly thereafter to the General Public. Usually around late April or so I believe. This year, many of us have received e-mail codes for free Dining (August-Oct.) already though, along with a slew of other pin codes that Disney has released. I do feel like they are targeted to some degree, as we have gone down for free dining several times now, and what a coincidence that this is the pin we received, not free kids, not 40% off, etc.

Anyway, FD will probably be released to the public in about 2 months, unless they change it up this year.

So, if I were to sign up for a Disney visa would I get the FD offer?

It's very strange. I have the Disney Visa and I did not receive the free dining pin, but my uncle who has never even been to Disney received it. So I called and booked a trip for 6 of us using his pin :)

By the way, another strange thing is that they told me I have to be with the other two couples while they check in since we're all using "my" pin (they never even asked for the pin code either), but we're staying at Pop Century and my uncle is staying at Caribbean Beach?? So are they going to make me travel over there when they check in??

The CM I spoke to today said there would be no FD for the general public this year..otherwise what is the point of a pin code?

My understanding has always been that the average CM doesn't have any information like that. (How often do they not even know what promotion is currently going on?) I'd be hesitant to take that information too seriously.

I took it with a grain of salt too.
