How long does the waiting period usually last?

Hey everyone! So I know that lots of us have interviewed are are waiting on our results... I was just wondering, for those of you who have done the CP before, how long it took you all to get your letters in the past? I've heard so many different things, some people waited 2 months, some only one week!

If you apply early, it usually takes 2-3 weeks. Last year, I remember for those who applied later than usual it took up to a month for some.

Also, if you audition to be a character, it will take longer, because the auditions aren't starting until March... and then after THAT you get your letter.

I waited about 2 weeks. It was the LONGEST two weeks of my life! :crazy2:
It felt like everyday was equivalent to a week. LOL

But, definitely well worth it! :thumbsup2

I had my letter within a week. I applied at the very begining of September when the application first came out so they weren't too busy yet I guess...

I hope the turnaround is as quick this year. I wonder if the time you wait has anything to do with the roles you picked? Other than character performer, are there any other roles that take longer to get accepted for? (I applied for Hospitality, and I feel like that one might be a little longer)

I applied and intervied the first day they started interviewing, and this past Friday was my two week mark. So hopefully I'll hear this week!

Ditto for me Justine..... I interviewed two weeks ago today, so we'll see later today if anything comes in the mail. I'm holding out a small shred of hope, but at the same time, I don't know how many people applied.. it always seems like a lot because everyone on these boards is really into Disney, and therefore applied early, but I know that we're only a small percentage of the people who will apply.

Here's to hoping that everyone who interviewed last Friday and Monday hears today! (And that everyone else hears soon after!)

a little OT but when you find out if we made it or not, will we be finding out what role is being offered to us? I know you don't find out the actual place (ride, show, restaurant etc.) until you get down there but I was unsure about the general part.

Yes you find out the general position (attractions, custodial, housekeeping etc) in your letter. You find out the specifics on Day 2 of Check-In

So I emailed my recruiter to see if they recieved my checklist. She said they received a large amount and are still sorting through them, and if they needed something from me, they would email. So this leads me to believe that folders haven't gone out yet...

Hmm, my recruiter said they received my role checklist and everything.. when did you send yours?

I hope not though, for your sake! I'm sure we'll all hear soon.. my friend (who applied for the program last semester, but had to turn it down, and I just found out she applied) said it only took her two weeks at the most... hopefully it will be the same. Do more people apply for Fall, does anyone know?

I know I shouldn't worry, but I can't help but feel anxious about getting in. I keep thinking they're going to tell me they're full... which makes no sense. :scared:
