It will be me, DH, DS9, and DS2. I'm sure we will be split up alot of the time. For those of you who have rented, are the cabanas worth it?

We went to Aquatica twice in 2008 with my dd 7 years old and my granddaughter 4 years old, and I think I sat maybe one hour on both days :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: . The kids kept me going so I didn't get to sit much. It was hard for the kids to sit for even lunch :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: . I did look at the cabanas and they looked nice but as I said we didn't sit much so I wouldn't rent one. I hope this helps you and have a great time there.:cheer2:

We rented one last June. We enjoyed it - especially my DH who likes to relax more and swim less. We did it for a special occasion. I was glad we did it once.

I loved our cabana! It was always a good meeting place. The fridge was great, towel service even better, a locker, and the treatment was awesome!

Absolutely! We've done it twice now, and we would not want to visit Aquatica without a cabana. The enjoyment we've gotten from our Aquatica cabana has made us hesitant to go to the Disney waterparks, where we cannot get cabanas.

Do you rent it the day you get there or do you need an advanced reservation?

we did it in advance but it probably depends on crowds. the day we were there we saw no one else in a cabana!

I have never rented one. They have a sandy beach area with a lot of chairs and some tents. We got there today when they opened and got a tent with chairs. It was perfect for us. Also, they have an all you can eat buffet for $22.00. This is for the whole day and includes drinks. You could get there early and get a tent with chairs and use the money you saved from the cabana to buy the buffet. The buffet is well worth it, since the heat makes you hungry and thirsty. The food is pretty good too.

Thank you so much for this! I believe this is exactly what we'll do. Are the tents only on the beach area?

We were there last year and maybe things have been added/changed but I don't recall seeing tents on the beach area. Just umbrellas. There were some that are oversized. The cabanas are pricey but we've done them at Aquatica and Adventure Island and felt it was worth it.
