:fish: Fish Extender & Secret Mickey Fun
Was it ever fun! The gifts people gave were so generous! Do you remember emptying your Fish Extender and 15 minutes later, it was literally full again? How about those crazy jumping Mexican Beans going click-click in its box? I had to put it in our safe so it didn't drive me crazy when sleeping! :rotfl: There were also many creative Secret Mickey deliveries and gifts. Thank you again everyone for the thrills this activity gave us!
Here’s a glimpse at some of the FE gifts that were passed out.

Big thanks go out again to our lanyard leaders, Erik (tig82174) and Hadley (NHDisneylover), for getting nearly 300 of us adorned with our logo-inspired lanyards. I think I can speak for everyone who received one that they love and cherish the keepsake! Of course this couldn’t have happened without the financial support of the Lanyard Team Sponsors either, who are all listed on the back of your name tag and in Post #1 of previous Chapters!

Thank you, Jen (nenner1), for taking time out to scan and post our Navigators in this thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1980106).

Well the school board came back yesterday with the new schedual.. school starts at the same time frame, only 2days at thanksgiving instead of the week, and 1 week spring break instead of 2, thus ending the school year now May 28th (crazy my poor mom is going to go crazy with my kids LOL)
That being said I can finally start planning our 8-9days at WDW. I told E this and he said so you mean your going to cancle the cruise... WHAT.. now you want to do the cruise you said wdw.. make up your mind... in the end he said YA wdw! So we are looking at Aug 8th-18th or 19th LOL
SO,anyone have a code for southwest... found a great one way from San Diego to Orlando for $99 each.... but if I could save a bit more that would be great!

omg...I can't believe we are on Ch 5...I've been so busy I thought I lost ya'll!
I haven't done any Dising lately (only a little bit for our trip in 2 weeks) and I feel very guilty..I can't believe Erica finished her TR...I still can't do an installment on mine til I get the other computer back though, look slike it will be May again for me, LOL.
Hope you are all well...its nuts in this neck of the woods! Baseball cranking up, Dance really kicking in to gear with competitions next month, I'm working on Savannahs program ad, which...any photoshop endeavor for me is a lot of work. Sarah is almost walking (:scared: ) and I can't believe I spent enough $$ on Jimmy Buffett tix today that we could have all taken a cruise! Ay! (carnival...but still!)
At least we really made this Disney trip cheap. We got 4 nights at Coronado for just over $100/night and Play Four tickets for $160/each adult. A weeklong vaca will be around $800 not counting food, souvies etc. not too shabby!!:thumbsup2 Ummm...is it Feb 22 yet?? LOL:hyper:
Happy Saturday, guys, I promise I'll get back on track with my TR reading (and writing) soon!

Wednesday night, we unexpectedly lost the man I've called my Dad for the past 19 years. He nearly became my DFIL, which is how I met him. The parents of my boyfriend in college and I just never lost touch with one another. We loved eachother so much. Dad just always took me under his wing. His son is also amazing, and we've kept in touch over the many years as well. Even though I've lost all my great grandparents and all but one grandparent (who many of you met on the cruise), this is the closest person that I've lost. It's been very difficult. There's just never been anyone like him that I've known nor do I think he can ever be duplicated. Such a gentle, loving soul.
He was such a help when I had car problems a couple of weeks ago (which I'm sure you all remember me complaining about). I tell ya...there was a reason I had those car problems. It's clear now. He had a wonderful, happy 79 years. For his sake, I'm thankful that it was quick and unexpected though. Now he's with his sweet wife and daughter that didn't make it to birth, which oddly enough he mentioned to me just 2 weeks ago when we were having dinner. Again....things happen for a reason.
I'm also so thankful that I have absolutely no regrets now he's passed. Our lives can change in a moment, so don't waste any time to give and love!

No worries! I haven't competed in almost 11 years - if I tried to compete now, I'd would come in last place! Sadly, I'm past my dance peak by almost 10 years. :(

Well that's terribly exciting to have something so thrilling just around the corner! Good for you! I will keep my toes crossed for you for an upgrade, but I know it will be a great time nonetheless!
I love fb too. :)
Today starts my busy season... Natalies bday is today. ..off to get Natalie to take her out to lunch..she wants sushi.
Another addicted FB'er here. On Friday, I'm getting together for the first time since HS, an old friend Jeff, in the role of.....drum roll please.....chaperone! :rotfl: Jeff and I have been chatting, and I think he and my friend Dawn would hit it off! So, it's a 3-way date, partially blind. ;) They're both so excitied, it's hilarious.

We had a nice lunch.. Natalie tried 3 new foods today. hot n sour soup, edamame and spicy crab sushi. She liked the last 2, just not the soup. We shared california roll too. ( and a salad with ginger dressing.) she had a great time! :) She smiled when I told her people from fb told her happy bday. ( I will let her read this page too.)
I feel bad all ready for whoever marries this child, she has expensive tastes! she wanted crab legs for dinner. :rotfl2:

Maureen you lucky duck! Have a fantastic cruise!!!!!:cool2:
Hey Val, I know what you mean about the "busy season"...we are hitting it here too...ugh. :cool2: Sounds like a sweet birthday dinner. Reminds me of the time I was like 10 or 11 and my parents said we could go to Jesse's Landing (an upscale waterfront restasurant on stilts that was the "it" place in town that we had never been to) for my birthday but I wanted to go to Bob Evans instead.:confused3 LOLLLLLL...I never lived it down....
Sarah by herself is enough to wipe me out...what a little booger she is. She crawls like lightning, and is "transferring" herself from table to couch, etc. on two feet so in the blink of an eye she will be running and then I will be totally and completely insane.
I am having way too much fun overplanning this little vacation we are going on in ten..woohoo:banana: ten days! I called the other day and managed to snag a LeCellier ressie, which I am very excited about since Ron tried a bunch of times and came up empty (or so he says). I tried once two weeks out from the date and they had three times to choose from! Sweet!
Have a great day guys!

Jen, it's still so much fun to hear of these milestones Sarah has. :goodvibes There's someone who announced herself on our WBTA thread saying she hopes to be joining us. She added that if they do, her baby will have just (or about to) turned 1. That made me think of you and Sarah! It will be fun to have another baby to keep tabs on. princess: princess:

We all met at the restaurant driving separately. Afterwards, we decided to go get drinks and Jeff suggested seeing "Friday the 13th" on today, Friday the thirteenth (and OBTW, I really hate scary movies...I took one for the team there!). Since they both live so closely together and the restaurant we chose is so close to my girlfriend's house, they decided to drop her car off at her house and carpool to drinks followed by the movies. So they left the movies together, and he took her home! I cannot wait to talk to each of them individually later!

Jen and Val, tell me what Animal Crossing is? I can't figure out if I should get it or not
Its kindof a sims style game, basically you arrive in this town, you buy a house, work for the local shopkeeper, then go off on your own making money by growing fruit, fishing, and catching bugs, etc. to buy furniture and clothes and stuff for your house. You have neighbors that you interact with, they are all animals. They are all a little quirky and they speak this weird language that is like talking on 78 RPM. So basically you just live your little life in this town, making money (called bells) and adding on/improving your house. There are celebrations of real life holidays, fishing tournaments, etc. There are visitors that come to your town for various reasons. It was previously big on the Gamecube and DS...but now on the wii there is a wi-fi interactive part where you can add your friends and travel over to their towns and they can come to yours. Pretty cool! I'm not big into games, I played Roller Coaster Tycoon a lot back in the day but I enjoy it a lot. :thumbsup2

If you are into character meals.
Chef Mickeys at the Contemp is a must. :) breakfast or dinner. :) I love watching the monorail go through.
Crystal Palace at MK is Pooh and friends. (we went there on NYE)
I know you have boys.. but Cinderellas round table is cool if you can get an early time.. you can walk down main street at MK when the park is still closed.
Epcot: Le Cellier.. never been but I hear it is awesome
Japan was good too...
England is good for lunch.
Holly: Brown Derby...get the fantasmic package. :)
Ohana at the Poly is fun.

Hello all. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day!
The family and I went to Seaside (a small beach front town) for the weekend. Not a whole lotta romance goin on at this point ;) but it was a nice relaxing weekend with the kids.
DS Chase is obsessed with his birthday party (not until the end of April) He won't stop talking about how he wants a Pirate Party. So, we went to one of those old time photo shops at the beach and got this picture taken for his birthday invites:

Hey Jen, Have you by chance made a spreadsheet for your WDW trip
Not *really*...not a spreadsheet anyway. I have the UG and I use that to make touring plans using their website. They start off as blank totally customizeable plans and I rewrite them to fit my needs. Normally we have a pretty set routine we do in the parks since we have gone so many times but I want to try using one of these touring plans (with minor modifications) and see if it saves us any time. We usually get everything done in one day, but I want to avoid the "What should we do now? thing. I am thinking if it is all wirtten in a plan there will be none of that indecision. Ron is as commando as I am, but he isn't down with the "whole thing" being "planned out". He likes some spontenaiety. But this time we are going to try it my way!
.... E has asked me not to be too comando compaired to how I was on the cruise and I will try once we are ON vacation but until then for my sanity and OCVP I need to be organized. Well, this will probably do it for you.:rotfl2: The customizeable plans are free and if you look closely you will find ther are plans titled "COPY OF Unoffical Guide Magic Kingdom Dumbo or Die in a Day blahblahblah" that are amazingly similar to the plans in the boook on on the paid part of the website!:rolleyes1
Here's a link to where you can search to find plans:

There is some backtracking, moreso in the MK to use FP's. Ive found its better to knock out fantasyland first thing and then use FP's for the mountains. fantasyland just gets insane lfrom about 11 am on and never really lets up until spectro.
Oh and for you WDW vets. what resturants do you all love! Looking for suggestions
Well Le Cellier, the steakhouse in Canada..we haven't eaten there yet but we are this trip. Believe it or not..in over 40 trips (at least) we have never eaten at a sit down non-buffet restaurant in WDW (except Rainforest Cafe at DTD) :scared:  Believe it...or not! We've done Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys and Ohana breakfast. And counter service. And that's it. But here's what I know and what I've heard:
MK: Crystal Palace is pretty good, but a bit pricey. Pooh characters. We always eat counter at Columbia Harbor House..fish chicken, soup, chili, sandwiches..love the upstairs seating that overlooks fantasyland/liberty square. Hate Cosmic Rays. Always packed, smells 70's ish in there, and you have to go through different lines to get differnt foods. Its a PITA. Not my cup of tea. Aviod Pinocchios if you want to eat your food at a table and not off your tray while you hold it. Caseys we have never tried but I plan on going there this time. Snacks: Dole Whip at Aloha Isle, Ice Cream at Plaza Ice Cream shop, Pastries (good for breakfast) and desserts at Main St. Bakery.
Epcot: Nothing in future world. Seriously. :rotfl2: Some people like Sunshine Seasons I don't only b/c I can't eat in the land. It smells. (see Cosmic Rays). Le Cellier in Canada...Yorkshire Fish N Chips UK, Boulangerie Patesserie (France...Eclairs..Napoleons), Vins de Chefs de France (grey goose and gran marnier slushies) Crepes de Chefs de France (crepes and kick-butt frozen custard), Japan (kaki gori shaved ice), Germany pretzel stand, China tea stand, Kringla bakery in Norway (school bread a.k.a. coconut cream donuts, and lefse- cinnamon potato bread), Cantina in Mexico margaritas...yum! Ones I've heard good things about are Teppan Edo in Japan, Chefs de France, and Tutto Italia in Italy.
Hollywood Studios: Brown Derby is the best, but very expensive if you aren't on the dining plan. I want to try Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time, more for the aqtmosphere then the food (mixed reviews). Counter service, good luck. Pizza PLanet is about it. Ive heard Hollywood & Vine is swill.
Animal Kingdom: Everyone raves about Tusker House, we haven't been there yet. Flame Tree BBQ is great counter service. I love Anandapour Tea Co. Pizzafari and Restaurantasaurus are the same/ol same/ol..burgers nuggets pizza. We haven't spent much time in AK.
DTD: OMG Ghiardelli...the huge sundae was good, but I think if we go again we would get individual ones. Rainforest Cafe..ok..TGI fridays type food, but our bill was over $100, atmosphere is what you're paying for. T-REX we are going there this time. Same as above but with dinosaurs. Gotta try it once. Goofys Candy Co. for sure. Heard good things about Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich (we may drive over JUST to get some sandwiches at EOS).
Resorts: Cali Grill if you want to shell out some dough, Yachtsman Steakhouse & Narcooseees are also supposed to be good but expensive. I want to try Kona at the Poly for Tonga Toast (they also have it at their counter service place Capt. Cooks)..speaking of Poly OHANA...ugh see Cosmic Rays and the Land. This one is particularly reminiscent of my elementary school cafeteria! :crazy2: and of course Beaches & Cream..No Way Jose melted peanut butter sundaes <<drool>>...we may do the Kitchen Sink this time!
Did I forget anything? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Cool! That will be fun. You're going to Hawaii instead?! Wow. I don't think I could do it ... in fact, I know I can't! LOL!!!
That's what my niece wants to do .... with a 18 month old .... NUTS. There's no way I'd take a very hyper 18 month old on that 15 hour flight. No way.

LOL! Most everyone goes on more vacations than we do, but when we go .... we like to go big. :)
Jared is scheduled for September 10, *but* he's trying to leave with a buddy on June 29th. Either one of those will work for us .... HOWEVER, if he were to leave any time in July, it would really screw up our plans for the cruise. I think he's telling his recruiter that he can't leave at any point in July.

LOL- Funny you should ask LOL... I was on the Budget Boards looking for savings for our WDW trip and came across a post of someone winning a week stay at the Grand Floridian for a week for $1 a day... too good to be true right.. EXACTLY but like the moron i am i say what the heck. LMT is Last Minute Travel dot com. So basically they had this contest (read SCAM) that you log into there website and they will randomly pick you to win a night stay at hotels for $1, you have to enter the info within a certain time frame to "WIN" so for 2weeks I was on there site, (DAY AND MOST OF THE NIGHT, I didnt get much work done) hitting refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh, I felt like Desmond and that damn button ever 108 mins from LOST LOL. SUffice to say I didnt win... but now Im glad cuz I hear people are being told they have to file 1099's now for their taxes on it as it was a "contest" not just an OFFER/SALE. Only thing good that came out of it is meeting some people on the Budget thread LOL
Side note I did book our stay at WDW, so all I need now if flight home woohoo!:thumbsup2 :cool1:

Hey maybe you vets can help me, we have 5 military tix we are getting and are going to add on park hopper and water parks, I was told/errr read, that by adding on water parks means it becomes a 10day pass, 5 for the parks and 5 for water parks, but if you go to both one day it will obviously lower the length of the pass.. Really hope that makes sence lol Is this correct? I thought if you got 5day tickets plus park hopper and water parks it just means you have 5 days to go TOTAL???

I *love* AKL Savannah view!!!! We did that the year AKL opened (2001) and loved that place. The only thing I hated was that it took FOREVER to get anywhere from AKL and FOREVER to get back.

Good morning all -
I got an email from Amazon that they are having a 40% off clearance on groceries so of course I had to check it out being the bargain hunter that I am..........anyway, they have the Tortuga Rum Cakes for $13.46 but you get 40% off with the code FBCLEVNT so they come out to a little over $8 a piece. They also qualify for free shipping if you spemd $25. Just passing along for those who LOVE them!

Drea - I really liked staying at Pop. It will be considerably tighter staying there than at AKL but it has it's own charm. Good kid envionment.
As far as the tickets. We've had the parkhopper plus tickets before and basically if you have 5 park days (hopper or not) and 5 plus features, you could stretch them to 10 days. If you want to stretch them out, then you can only use the plus feature (or water park) on the one day and not go into the parks. If you go to the water park and the regular park then that is one off of each of the days. If you go to the water park early and really enjoy that environment, then it would probably be just as easy to stay all day and then go back to the room and relax at the resort (or DTD) for the rest of the night.
Hope this helps.

we stayed at AKL before our 4 day cruise a few years ago. (it wasnt my favorite hotel.) the best part was going out at night and using the night vision goggles to see all the animals. ( it was just too far away from everything else and we waited forever for buses.)
we are still in bday mania around here.
today is Gabbys 11th bday. She wanted to go to Olive Garden for lunch. and we are having steak for dinner.
hope everyone is having a great weekend. just waiting for more snow as usual.

I asked on the other thread who to send the info to in order to get us on the list of shipmates and into the FE thing, but no one will respond. Weird.
No. My niece and nephew have been and want to take their 14 month old (she'll be almost 2 then) to Hawaii. The baby is VERY active and there's no way that I'd like to be on a plane that long with her!!! LOL!! They wanted my mom to do that instead of DCL. My mom said NO WAY. LOL!!
I hope you get to go if that's what you really want to do.
It will depend on what dates they offer it this year. I refuse to go the night before the cruise because I don't want to be run down before I ever get on the ship? KWIM?!
I hope you get to take advantage of that discount!!!

Thanks. I can't believe how much cloth diapers have changed since when my mom used them. There are some that are pretty much just like disposables, except they won't be sitting in a land fill for 500 years :goodvibes . No rinsing in the toilet or any of that gross stuff. I dont look forward to the plane ride either, but Dh flies overseas all the time and he says it isnt so bad. We will just take some movies for the kids to watch on the laptop and the ds lites have been awesome for our long car trips! :)

Finally getting back here and caught up. So sorry to hear about the loss Kimberly.
I also agree, you should do a trip report. :)

I'm so embarrassed to ask this, but Beachbratt, were you one of the families who came to Grill's the night before the cruise? There was one family I met who was pretty new to our DIS family that for the life of me I cannot remember!! There were families of Drea, Ken, Tonya, Brandie, me, and someone else. I want to record on my Trip Report outline (for whenever I get around to writing this piece of work!). If it wasn't you, can anyone else help embarrass me? I was wearing a Buckeye T-shirt and this family pulled me over to their table to give me a very warm hello!
Finally getting back here and caught up. So sorry to hear about the loss Kimberly.

Thanks sweetie! I really appreciate that. I absolutely want to write this report. I just need to dump some of my other obsessions like Facebook, Fashion Wars, scrapbooking, yadda yadda and transfer that energy to this report!
….Ok .... So I've posted a few times on the thread for my next cruise. I'm getting ignored! Am I that obnoxious?! I guess I'm just used to this thread…..
….I asked on the other thread who to send the info to in order to get us on the list of shipmates and into the FE thing, but no one will respond. Weird….
Despite what others here are saying, you're not weird! I assure you it's everyone else! You can come to us though to share your planning thrills! I know I would love to listen!
I do feel absolutely spoiled with our little DDD family here. I think we're all a friendly bunch of people and genuinely wanted to get to know people, so we came here for comfort and fun! I do wish some others who were active on our thread would come back though. I miss chatting with a lot of people. The WB TA group is HUGE! (I *so* badly wish someone was keeping track for stats.) It often runs very fast, which makes me feel like I'm rushing/speed-reading through the pages just to be aware of content and run out of time to really connect. (hmmm….I think I've heard me say this before!) So there are negatives to having non-chatters and too many chatters!
........I went ahead and booked a surprise 5 day trip to Vegas for DH's 30th birthday! … it gives me something to look forward to.........besides the baby of course ;) Let me be more specific: It gives me something to look forward to where alcohol and skinny jeans can be involved!
….On another note, did I mention that in our attempt to "go green", we have decided to cloth diaper this baby?! It is soooo much different than it was back in the day.….
You are very sweet! I love the "skinny jeans" aspiration, too!
As for the cloth diapers, I'm going to have to check those out. I hadn't heard that they have changed that much. It makes sense since the technology with fabrics has so advanced. I babysat my cousin during the summers when I was in high school. They had him in cloth diapers, and I also HATED changing and preparing them for the laundry. YUCK!
...Ill post pics when we get back...
Off to Epcot this AM after checking in at CSR! Le Cellier for lunch...yummmm ……We're off!:thumbsup2
I hope you're having a marvelous time and everyone is staying healthy! Cannot wait to hear about it and see some awesome memories!
Well, I'm off to go home. I'm anxious to see today's episode of Oprah, which consists of an interview of Nadya Suleman's father. I'm not at all shy to say "those poor children". I am all for choice of single people going through invetro and becoming parents. As my clock has ticked on without a stable relationship, I've considered it myself, but I have decided it's too selfish because I don't have the support system needed to be a totally single parent nor do I want my children to not have a father. I've read enough research studies on teenage/adult test-tube babies to know I personally would not want my child to have all that emptiness. Sometimes it's okay to be selfish, but for me, this isn't one of them. It's a choice, not an outcome. Being a responsible parent begins with that choice. :)
Everyone's story is different, however, some stories are just....just....just....oh I cannot even say it here! God love those children and give courage and strength to that mother and the 14 kids grandparents. There are so many likely sad outcomes here. It almost brings me to tears predicting them. As they say....there is a reason. There is a reason.

The grandfather contacted Oprah asking to go on her show. Nadya's parents are not together, yet from news reports on her mom, I would say they are on the same page. He loves his grandchildren. He thinks his daughter has been irresponsible though. He even asked Oprah if she would help get her evaluated.
As most parents would, he was as supportive as he can be and a little defending of her at times. He did slam NBC saying that they had her stay up late before that interview with Ann Curry, whisked her off to a place she wasn't familiar with, and was still pretty well drugged with pain meds from her C-section. So he said she wasn't in a state of condition to give a good interview. Oprah mentioned that herteam as well as many others in the media tried to get that exclusive interview, but Nadya chose Ann from NBC. Oprah also praised Ann for her interview. Oprah told Grandpa that she carried herself quite well and if she didn't want to do the interview or didn't feel it was the right time, she could have walked away. HARPO stated they tried to get a comment from NBC, but they declined.
Nadya didn't tell her dad about her plans for this last invetro. The doctor had called to check on her when he answered the phone one day. He asked him why he was asking about her, and the doctor said "didn't she tell you? She's pregnant." Hmmm.....sounds like a breech of doctor/patient confidentiality to me. Grandpa told the doctor that he was irresponsible and "WTH...don't you evaluate what your patients can take-on?".
Like his daughter, he hadn't considered food stamps as a welfare program. Oprah was strong and didn't express any sympathy, yet made it clear that since he came to her, she wanted him to say whatever he felt the need to share. Dr. Oz was quite full of energy on his view, including (I wish I could remember the exact phrase) her being selfish. You might want to see if there's a clip on her website. From my perspective, he was being a dad by being a little defensive, but overall, he's pretty upset with her choice and does not agree with it. Nonetheless, the kids are here and they will need tremendous love and care.
With your description of the location of Poohbear4me's table, that's who I was thinking of! I could picture exactly where they were and me standing there talking to all of them, but I totally forgot who I was speaking to! Furthermore, after you said that, a bell went off saying "Oh yeah! She has the same name as my DM!" (Sorry, Linda!!)

OMG Kimberly, that woman makes me so angry too.....
I think it's beyond selfish at this point, it's just stupid. If you want a kid, fine, have a kid and treat it right. But what do you need with that many?? AND, if you wanted that many children (and could afford to handle them, which she can't) why not consider helping out all those children that need loving homes?
I also don't understand what food stamps (and disability checks for that matter) are if they aren't welfare. They are the Government helping you pay your bills. Isn't that kind of the definition. She probably doesn't pay taxes either, so the rest of us really are footing the bill for her brood.
Also, have you seen the pictures of her 'before and after'? She's has a LOT of work done. How does she afford all that?? She definitely has a screw loose somewhere, IMHO.
OK, rant over. :lmao:

I really like the style. The gentle A-line and the "thing" just at the waist is slimming for all body types, so it will look great on your bridal party! I also like the simplicity, which will only enhance their bouquets and put focus on their faces, leaving the dress glamour for you, the bride! :bride: Your color choice is amazing too. Finally, I looked back at your photo of you in your dress. I don't want to give away any details, but I'll say it's an amazing compliment to your gown. GREAT FIND!

I soo agree about the Octo mom. I caught a minute of her on Dr Phil. I cant stand to look at her...the plastic surgery is tooo much for me...and dont even get me started about having 14 kids!!! I am all for people having babies..even invitro.. my neighbors in Michigan had quads.. but who is going to pay for all these kids???? oh wait... I am! :(
I am off to Pgh this weekend, it is my cousins baby shower. John was able to get her so many gifts at a fraction over the price through Graco baby. Why couldnt he have worked there when our kids were little???

Yep, my mom cloth diapered my brother and sister, they've actually had those diapers and wraps for quite a while now (she used them-a different brand, but essentially the same product-back in the 80's) I considered it with all my kids too but there are some downfalls. She used a diaper service (no WAY were we washing all those) and while it is convenient, let me tell you no matter what kind of industrial deodorizer they give you the pail still stinks to high heaven. And that was *with* pre-rinsing. And yes, they did often leak at night. Otherwise they are great to use, my bro & sis never once got a diaper rash (of course Sarah has not had one yet either but I am pretty anal-no pun intended ;) -about changing diapers frequently):lmao:
That is awesome that you decided to give it a shot!:hippie:

Oh yeah......by the way, we're back!:rotfl2:
I'm sorry I did not have the chance to pop in and say hi, for the record the Mc Donalds by Blizzard Beach does NOT have internet, what they do have is god-awful iced tea and the greasiest Mickey D's food EVAR. (Grease literally dripped off my food :scared: ) We broke down and paid for internet the last night after walking by a TV at the Siesta Bar that showed the Bucs released a ton of players..although I didn't get a chance to use it. :rolleyes1
BUT ANYWAY...we had a GREAT time. The parks were fantastic, a little busier than we're used to but we got to do and see everything we wanted to. Our new favorite ride is RNRC..can you believe we've never made it on there before? Well, we'll never miss it again! :rotfl2: We ate a lot of BAD counter service food  but Le Cellier was very good and T-Rex was a LOT of fun, as was Beaches 'N Cream. I think next time we stay onsite we will have to do the Dining Plan. I tried to explain it to Ron before we left but he is one of those people who can't fathom the idea of not being able to walk into a sit down restaurant and wait for a table, not to even mention how much we paid. I tried to tell him, I really did. :confused3 ;)
TSM was great, had a lot of fun with the Kim Possible adventures in Epcot (well Brendan wants to be a spy when he grows up so this is right up his alley), and Sarah loves, loves, loves IASW.
I don't know if I'll do a TR, since I'm hardly halfway done with my other one, but I'll post up something. A mini trippie maybe. I'll get some pics up here too, just as soon as I get them all off my camera.

Heading over there now! :)
I don't know if I'll do a TR, since I'm hardly halfway done with my other one, but I'll post up something. A mini trippie maybe. I'll get some pics up here too, just as soon as I get them all off my camera.
(anything to not have to deal with the unpacking, laundry, and real world in general ;) )
Why do you think I DIS so much and Facebook/Myspace... to get away from reality LOL Would love a mini trippy. And always up for pics! OMG Sarah is so big!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!
We are off to Washington for a 2 day Cheer Competition. :cheer2:
Driving in a car for over 3 hours and staying at a hotel for 2 nights without my 20 pillows is NOT my idea of a good time!
Good Luck to both Madison and you for some needed sleep! :)
E is off this week in 29palms aka BFE. They are doing training there. So that means for me... I get to rearange the house (he hates change, at home that is) Plus I get to go through some of the cr... stuff in the garage that needs to be thrown away that he hangs on too (empty cd cases come to mind, BOXES of them LOL) Guess I should really get off of here and get to "work"

I'm having a terrible cruise itch today. Not sure why. Maybe because there's a low of 10F degrees tomorrow. :confused3 So I'm watching the DCL show from the Travel Channel. Is it bad that you can start humming the song that will start in the segment within the next 5 seconds?

LOL!! If I could catch that one, I would TiVo it and watch it all the time. I've seen it a time or two, but not the whole thing. I want to see the one on DVC. I think we need to hear the spiel on that this time.

LOL! Remember that we don't get it often enough for us to be tired of it.
And ..... it was 60º yesterday ......
Oh, but the area you're aiming for will be the area in metro Atlanta that gets the most ...... :)

It did, but not a ton of it here. I'm south of I20, so we didn't get a ton. It was pretty while it lasted, though. We still have a bit on the ground, but it's fading fast.

Boys always get the best deal in dance classes. I always remember being so jealous, because even boys that aren't that good get special treatment and are always featured just because there are so few! Of course, usually only the really good ones stick with it.

MS. DREA!!! I LOVE :lovestruc your book! I've bookmarked the site so I can check out their book options. You must tell us if the boys had any reaction to it. The little notes you put in there will be cherished and adored for years and years.
I completely agree with you that I think every major or memorable event needs to be journaled this way. It's a wonderful way to share your experience with others and to bring back memories when you want to ever-so-conveniently!
Awesome!
Amy, any new wedding planning activities to share with us?
Shell, are you just beside yourself with anticipation of your upcoming cruise? How many more hours? :cool1:
Jen, you're right. I had the DCL program on my DVR, so you haven't missed an opportunity for it to show. I'm sure there will be more airings very soon as the cruise industry is something The Travel Channel seems to promote as spring rolls in.
Speaking of spring rolling in........Can you believe that most of us in the States are going to Daylight Savings Time this weekend? Unbelievable. I remember when we "sprung forward" last year that I viewed it as being one more milestone closer to our cruise. :goodvibes
Have any of you had margarita cookies? It's a refrigerator cookie dough with tequila in it. I went to a party of couple of weeks ago, and someone brought them. BOY are they YUMMY!!! I'm anxiously waiting for the recipe to be passed on to me. I found several on the internet, but I want to use the recipe that has been tried and true. You can roll the outside edges in green sugar (ya know...like a rim of a glass), so I'm thinking they will be awesome for St. Patty's Day.

A small wedding update. I finally figured out where I want to have the ceremony. We're going to get married in the church that I grew up in. My family hasn't been active members for a long time due to some differences with another family at the church and how they were treating my sister and I. At first, I didn't think I wanted to get married at that church because I didn't want that family showing up at my wedding. I talked to my mom about it and she talked to my aunt (she's still active at the church). My aunt is going to talk to the Pastor tomorrow about having the ceremony there as well as making sure that only people I want to attend will be there.
So that's my mini wedding update! :)

No, but OMG my mom used to make Margarita Cupcakes. They packed a punch, let me tell you. She brought them to work one time and everybody got a lil buzz. They just didn't taste all that great to me though. A little too boozy for my liking.. They were like 250 proof! I think half the city of St. Pete got the wrong mail that day!;)

Welcome back, guys! Glad to hear you had a good time. There will certainly never be another group like this one for sure! :goodvibes
Glad to see you guys still here chatting away, I have been so busy with *stuff* lately. Now that baseball season is in full swing I don't get as much sleep as I was so I go through my days/nights like a zombie.
Can I say I am dreading spring break? I will miss my quiet mornings.
I had to tak emy ipod into Best Buy today, it crashed (AGAIN) for what seems liker the zillionth (actually fourth) time. I have their service plan and last time this happened and it was junked out they handed me a brand new one off the shelf, fo rhte same value as the price I paid $399 at the time. THIS time I have to wait 2 MORE weeks (I just got it back last week and it still wasn't right, they have had it since JANUARY!) to get the final decision and THEN I get a trade in of "current comparable specs/value" meaning I don't get the $399 32 gig ipod touch to replace my old $399 60 Gig ipod video. But I can pay the difference if I want to upgrade. UGH. :sad2: I was nice about it but asked to speak to the manager who told me that Um, I got a sweet deal last time I shouldn't have. OH well. :confused3 Looks like they'll be getting my $$$$, those touches are sweet!!!
Have a great weekend all!

Jen, your comment about the mail being misdirected made me laugh!
Well my friend's friend hasn't handed over the margarita cookie recipie yet, but I think I'm going to make a recipe to put in the fridge yet tonight so I can make them tomorrow. I'll use a recipe I found on the internet for this round. Also, the te-kill-ya (as Drea calls it..and she is in the family business!) I have is already lime flavored. So I'll try it with this liquor omitting the lime juice to see how it turns out. Then if I get the other recipe and don't like this one, then I'll make that next weekend for St. Patty's Day. I wish I could mail you all some! I'll still post the recipe when I get it for you though!

You're so nice. Regardless if I ever have another cruise even equal to our DDD, it will still be the one for me to remember...and I know I will, and I know I'll always have real friends from that experience! :goodvibes

Sandi (HoagiePie) just sent me an email asking if the episode I referred to was the one on Dry Dock that aired in January. So I thought I would take a chance to see if that's scheduled soon, too, and it is!! So I thought I would pass that along as well.
So set your DVRs for an episode of "Project Xtreme" on the DIY channel that will be re-airing on March 15 at 7:00 pm EDT!!!

They showed that 24/7 on the TV in your room on the cruise!! I could recite it word for word since it was either watch that or CNN!! Even the movie choices this time weren't very good.

I heard from my Future DMIL today - she is out in Vegas with her other DS. They are having a great time! Today they went to the Grand Canyon. She sent me a picture on my phone and it is just as beautiful as it was when I was there 22 years ago!
How fun, thats something Ive always wanted to do is see the Grand canyon
Just bumping us up from page two!
for shame we are on page 2 LOL
And at the same time, posting my 6000th post on the Double Dip Thread!!!! :yay:
WOOHOOO Congrats!
Thats awesome that you are getting married there. Hey was thinking about ya the other day. I read all kinds of Disney bride trip/planning journal reports, and one said something about having a Disney Honeymoon Registry. And you register for all kinds of thinks you like to do at Disney. ADR's, spa stuff, merchandise etc. Didnt know if you knew about it or not but thought of you when I read it Disney Honey Moon Registry (http://honeymoonregistry.disney.go.com/honeymoonregistry/en_US/modules/render/homePage/hpHomePageRender)
Hi All!!
Joe and I are home from the Feb 28th Eastern. We had a very relaxing time and we really enjoyed the 3 days at sea but it wasn't the Double Dip. :sad2: :sad2:
I think Joe and I chatted more with the crew than we did with the other guests I just don't think any other cruise will ever compare to the 9/27/08 Double Dip. That will always be the one to remember :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
I feel the same way.
Pete got the wrong mail that day!;)
LMAO love it! My friend just told me about some balieys and gueniss (sp?) CUPCAKES. Told her to hurry up and get me the recepie! these are 2 of my favorite things, sweets and alcohol!!!!!!
:cutie:
Oh Jen that sucks about the ipod. But I agree the touch is awesome, my friends daughter has it and im envious LOL yup im jealous of a 13yr old LOL
I'll still post the recipe when I get it for you though!
let me know how yours goes, pass the recipe over if they are yummy!
Don't forget you loose an hour tonight, too. :headache: Wholy smokes, girl. You are having a crazy weekend!
ha ha, were dorks, E and I already did it last night.. oh well guess were used to the change now, sort of. We havent changed the HUGE clock over the mantal that we always look at but everything else is changed so we keep going is it 5 or 6? lol

Have to share I think Im going to change my occupation....YUP think Im going to become a travel agent LOL jk. I have had 4 people come to me regarding travel info; 2 for Disney Cruise, 1 for WDW and 1 for just over all cruises. I told them if they do vacation they have to get mey a shot glass and a postcard from their travels.
E actually has "refered" them to me LOL. The last one was our neighbor that came over and he was all Drea found it all online and has "friends" from our cruise. Then he later told them ya one of her "friends, did WDW, a back to back cruise, she works for disney and is going on the Transatlantic cruise in 2010... I was racking my brain trying to figure out who it was then he is all your friend from Ohio.. and I laughed. Apparently he listens just got people combinded. So he thought it was Kimberly that did it all, when its a combo of AMy, Maureen, and Kimberly LOL :rotfl2:

Arin: you look great!! :) the third baby packs on the most weight too:rotfl:
I finally sent lil John to school today:cool1: now I have the fun stuff to do, Dollar Store, grocey store.
LOL! My 3rd was my smallest. She was only 6 lbs.
Yippee on getting John well. I hope he's still feeling good.
Things are busy here. Jared has his girlfriend's prom next Saturday. He said that next year, he's going to go to it in his dress blues! LOL!!! Yeah, right. He'll be wishing for leave at that point, I'm thinking! LOL!
It's hard to believe that I have 237 days left before we go on our cruise. Last time, we booked so late and had to hurry doing everything that it *flew* by. This time, it's going to sneak up and hit me in the back of the head before I know it. LOL!!!
I hope you guys had a great weekend!!!!

Wow! You look amazing! That is a tiny belly. Mine is still that big and my baby is 9 mos old, lol...:rolleyes1
Seriously you and Kade look great!! :thumbsup2
Yikes for sure I packed on the most with my third. sadly I haven't lost a pound of it. :sad2:
I gained 24 with B (lost 20), 26 with Sav(lost all 26 and then some) and almost 40 with Sarah. I've tried to lower my consuption but getting so little sleep and being up all night I am so out of wack and I ALWAYS feel hungry. :confused3 Listen to me. I'm not divulging how many boxes of Thin Mints I bought last week. THIN mints. THIN!!! ;)
Well, here's a positive thought for you..it does look as if you're on the downward trend...Hey, it worked that way for me...Brendan was 9#10oz Savannah 8#11oz...Sarah a sweet 7#0oz! :thumbsup2
Well, I feel far from tiny, but thanks! ;) I hear you on the Thin Mints. I bought 4 different kinds of girl scout cookies a couple of weeks ago and kept them all to myself! :rolleyes1
The fact that your kids all got smaller and smaller gives me a little bit of hope for this one being "small". You know you have big babies when you consider 8 lbs small :rotfl:
NOTE TO SELF: Make margarita cookies and cupcakes to eat at the hospital after baby is born

Hi everyone! Just saving us from page 2!
Does anybody on here do Sunshine Rewards? I started in December and have earned a bit at time so I'm hoping to have a little extra spending money at WDW for the honeymoon. I know there are a LOT of Dis'ers who do it because I found it on the wedding boards. Did I mention you can earn either cash or Disney Dollars/Disney gift cards? I'm of course doing Disney gift cards, maybe DD, but most likely Disney gift cards.

Basically it's a site where you register and take surveys to earn money. There are three daily surveys that you can take each day to earn money. One is worth $.90, one is worth $.75 and one is worth $.50. There are also paid clicks that you earn a penny just by clicking on the link. You can also earn a percentage back when shopping on certain online shopping sites, Disneyshopping.com being one of them.
If you PM me your email addresses, I'll send you the link. :)

I thought the same thing when we picked ours up. I was looking forward to a nicely framed photo. I was even thinking in advance of our arrival how nice it will look to have us all in matching shirts. I think a CM messed up when they printed them off because we all have this big empty space.
Good news is that our embark photo stunk! We all looked just horrible and so tense. So between those two things, it was easy to pass on that picture!

I agree with your assessment of the new ship names. Not only does Fantasy remind me of Carinval (of course many cruise lines have ships of the same name), but it's not a word that I associate with the name "Disney" in front of it. I also think Dreams sounds better. The only thing I'm thinking that they may have thought is that their fleet has The Magic, The Wonder, and The Dream. :confused3 :confused3
Sorry you have another sick kidlet! Too much partying this past weekend!
BTW, when ARE you moving?? I would love to come up and meet you for lunch or dinner one weekend before you move! My best friend lives just north of you, so it's pretty enticing to drive up to see two great friends!

Glad you're waiting so the kids don't have to walk into a well-established classroom full of cliques. :) Is there a set date for John to be home-based down there?
Heidi did live in Stowe. She's in Broadview Heights now though. She moved into the house of her DBF. Obviously she likes Stowe much better. ;) It's still decent though. She, two of her college roommates, and I are all meeting in Berlin next weekend. There's a very large group of us staying at Zinck's Inn where we have their entire basement reserved. Last year I think there were about 80 people. It was a fun weekend of no sleep, lots of talk, and little scrapbooking done!! :rotfl2:

Yeah, I noticed that they printed them borderless when we were on the boat. Both of my previous cruises on the Wonder had the border with the itinerary. It wasn't as elaborate as the one you posted but still nice to have the dates and cities. I was dissapointed. I did notice it seemed they were all the same. :confused3 :confused3

Did they? Wish I had known. I was thinking we got jipped with the lazy pics because of the whole getting ready to go to digital photopass on the ships. Oh well. We didn't buy ours either. I wanted to...but I had sworn to stick to the cheap package. :lmao:

LOL, I don't know what happened on the last post.
Anyway, those names remind you of Carnival because the SS Booze N Gamble cruise line has some names that seem to cross the plagiarism line.
Did you know the next Carnival ship is the DREAM? It will sail later this year and be their new top of the line ship...being built at Fincantieri like the Magic was...
AND their next ship.....wait for it.....the MAGIC. Oh yes. No joke. Mickey should be shaking in his shorts. This is the twin to the Dream. The Carnival Dream. Ay.

- applying new "friends" to a special Group Friend List I created that basically doesn't allow them to see anything on my profile
- adding people to my Fashion Wars Posse in groups of 2 (by 2 so you can purchase a Goodie and a Property with every two new recruits... (OH! Has anyone seen what the property changed to today?!!! Whoa! Caught me off-guard at 2am in this morning!)
- Repeat!.....
Oh yeah...then once I get everyone added to my Posse, I'm going to remove them from my Friends List so I can actually wade through to see my REAL friends very easily! WHEW! The responsibility that comes with power, I tell ya!
...Kimberly may I have your autograph
Why yes, darling!

Hey did anyone watch ER last night??
Not trying to spoil if anyone hasn't seen it yet (I am actually still watching ep's from January) so turn back now...lol....
BUT....
I hear some big names popped in last night! :rolleyes1
The show is up streaming at NBC.com/ER (http://www.nbc.com/ER/video/episodes/?vid=1059351)
I still remember I was in nursing school when it premiered against Chicago Hope's season premier. I chose to watch CH..and to this day it was the only episode of that show I've ever seen) The next morning in pre-rounds those who watched ER raved and I thought CH was meh, so starting watching from the very next episode.....I have only missed a couple of episodes in 15 years and one of them was when I was delivering Brendan (born at 10:30 PM...it was one of the episodes in Alan Alda's arc, and I never did see it)
I'm a huge fan of the early days, I think the show could have ended the last time Doug showed up..:rolleyes1 :lmao:
My friend and I are huge Carter groupies, one time many years ago before I self-taught photoshop I made her a very crude totebag with Carter screen-printed on it. It was hella-ugly but she still uses it!:rotfl2:
Oh well, just thought I'd share...oh, and 1400th post!

Shell- they did offer that border.. darn them, darn them to HECK lol
Well ... they offered *some* border. Not sure what it was now. I do know that it was right over the baby's face, and that didn't work for us.
:lmao:
Ours definitely wasn't borderless. I wish I could remember what border they did put on it, though. I'm excited about using the KTTW card at Shutter's this time, though!!!!
Im really mad with Disney right now... in the 11yrs I have been married to the marine corps Disney has offered maybe 3 discount deals....... NOW this yr.. there are tons UGGGGG lol They just extended the military discount for cruises and its really tempting to just dump the 10days at the World and do 7 on the Magic..... SIGH... but I wont... LOL but its SOOOOOOOOOO tempting... UHHH... i knew I could vent my frustrations to my dis peeps.... my friends and family dont get it LOL If Only I had all the money in the world, and time to take off LOL
ok now back to our regular DDD talk... LOL
Oh no!! I'm sorry, Drea!!! I do think you should do both, though ......... of course, I'd try to find another 4 days off to make it an even 14 days, though. LOL!!!
:cake: Somebody has a birthday on Sunday!! :rolleyes1
Woohoo!!! Happy birthday, Jen!!!!
Should I mention that I will be celebrating my next birthday by packing and leaving for PC???????? :cool1:

Hope all is going well for you guys today. I have FINALLY broken through with the other thread I'm on .... and am now in charge of lanyards. LOL!! Oh well, at least I am feeling better about that thread and group. Hey ... did I mention that I have an invite to go see/tour the Roy suite????? :woohoo: I'm pretty happy about that. Kimberly...how do I join your group?
Happy Birthday, Jen!!!! :)
Well, you can either go into the application "Fashion Wars", click on "Posse" in the upper right corner, then select my name to send an invite to OR I'll try to remember to send you an invite as well. If/when you do, send me an email so I can go seeking for your invite before I wade through the now 565 new Friend Invites for FW (of which nearly 180 have been taken care of). They have a limit of 501 Posse members, so I want to make sure my REAL friends get in on the action. I can always remove people, too, to make room for real friends. :-)
oh, and 1400th post!

BTW, was it you, Shell, who had the Dress Mickey magnets that were stolen? In there you can check out the lions for free I believe (or at least you used to be able to) if you go off the strip to the Rio at certain time they have a Mardi Gras Parade show. Paris is fun, you can go in the Tower ($$$) they have the best crepes (get the chocolate one LOL) Coyote Ugly is a fun bar (girls dance and sing on the bar, like the movie) Imperial Palace has a cheap comedy show. We go everytime and have seen Bob Saget, and crud some other guy thats famous for like $40 plus you have to buy 2 or 3 drinks.. NO PROB! The mirage you can see the volcano erupt outside for free.

We are moving to Alpharetta or Cumming Ga...isnt that a great name? It is north of Atlanta!
thanks for the suggestions on Vegas.. yep what happens in Vegas is public knowledge for Dis. lol.
John will find out tomorrow if we can upgrade our tickets to first class. one of the perks maybe for him travelling soo much.

Amy: we will be there April 6th (early) - April 9th. We are staying at the MGM.
As noted before, if you are staying at the MGM; they do have the lions that come out to play (they are behind glass :thumbsup2 ) and you don't need to pay anything to watch them although it did get a bit crowded.
The Coyote Ugly bar Drea mentioned is directly across the street inside the NYNY resort. Just cross over the bridge, go into the resort and hang a left towards the Excalibur and you'll see it on your right.
Don't forget to check out the second floor shops at the Venetian. You could actually take a gondola ride if you wanted (complete with a singing gondalier!). Still, it's fun to watch (for a short time).
FYI - there's a place near the cocoa cola shop (I've been told) where you can check on tickets for shows at discounts. It's sort of like the place in Times Square in NY where you can get same day tickets for a lot less.
Oh and for $7, you can purchase a 24-hour bus ticket that you can use to hop on and off the buses up and down the strip. It's cheaper than the monorail and much more convenient. This bus can also take you to old Vegas if you want to get a glimpse of the old neon (Binions, etc).
If you want to spend $$ for shows, Terry Fatore (the guy that won America's Got Talent - I believe last year - the one with the puppets) is at the Mirage. If you enjoy them, there are a ton of Cirque shows also. I just saw LOVE at the Mirage when I was there last week. Got tickets on line at 25% off for about $70. They were high up but it really didn't matter. I actually liked it 'cause I had great visuals. Of course you can always pay big $$ to see Bettle Midler at Caesars. She's been rotating with Elton John and Cher (although I don't think Elton John is there for too much longer). But as Drea mentioned, you can see a lot of shows with some good entertainment without paying all the big $$.
Lastly, we were playing the slots and really enjoyed ourselves Wednesday and Thursday night. We'd win some, lose some and win some (I actually played a penny machine with $5 on Wednesday night and left it with $250). It was nice 'cause we would play a while on a little money since the slots would seem to pay a little more often. We noticed a big drop in the payoffs on Friday. They didn't seem to pay even the small amounts nearly as much as they were. I think they must hit a switch or something for the weekend crowd.

Guess what?! We now have a limo booked for the wedding! :) We all went to a bridal show today and it was so much fun! Dave didn't want to go at first, but I'm pretty sure he enjoyed himself after we got there. We pre-registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and got a free pasta maker! :yay:
I'm hoping to pick up my dress tomorrow since it is in finally! Yay!!!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! :)
Woohoo!!!!! A limo and registered!! AND a free pasta maker! Life is good. :)

Well, our cruise just keeps on giving!
Did any of you purchase the blue 2008 scrapbook and/or the package of scrapbook papers and stickers? I've spent much of today preparing for next weekend's girls' scrapbooking retreat in Amish Country here in Ohio. Can you believe I never opened those up until today?! I'm kinda glad I hadn't because it was fun to see something new! There's also plenty that I can use after my cruise next year, so I won't need to buy more scrapbook pages!
I like the green patterened paper that is in the scrapbook. It's very nice! I seem to recall that they sold out of the packaged paper very quickly. Thankfully I went there the first night and grabbed it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the tasteful, non-cartoony stickers as well as those with the characters dressed up in their sailor outfilts. LOVE THEM!!! There's even a cabin's fish sticker that I plan to use on my FE scrapbook pages! Hey...you can't deny that fun getting some recognition! That's indeed something I plan to feature. I've even pulled out little notes people wrote or their customized gift tags to include on the pages.
NEWER CASTAWAY CLUB MEMBERS: I know that many report that they either never get a Club Card or it comes 6-8 months after they cruise. I haven't received anything. Has anyone else?
...I keep reading about this stuff and mafia wars etc.. and am holding out on joining in cuz I know Ill be hooked and never leave the computer... How do all you facebookers like the new layout. I didnt like it at first but its growin on me.. sort of....
...I know Erika had a HUGE Mickey magnet, but it wasnt dress the mickey? my only guess sorry!
Oh hun...you will be addicted. STAY AWAY. Of course you're hearing this from me who send you an "interesting" Facebook game this weekend. ;) :rotfl2:
BTW, great to hear that you're still referencing the WB TA!!
....Marriott has a deal, buy 4 nights, get the 5th free. But John will have enough hotel points by then for the rooms to be free and hopefully 2 or 3 airline tickets.
We are moving to Alpharetta or Cumming Ga...isnt that a great name? It is north of Atlanta!
thanks for the suggestions on Vegas.. yep what happens in Vegas is public knowledge for Dis. lol.....
Val, the financial logistics for that Hawaiian is an amazing and set up crying your name to own! You just can't pass that up! As for Vegas, I agree. It's ALL for the DIS!
Well...I can't wait to find out if I get to snicker when I make out your Christmas card this year! :rotfl2:
...Nope. That wasn't me. I remember it happening, and it was on Deck 8, but I can't remember, for some reason, who it was.....
.....Wanna see??? Jared and his girlfriend ....
Okay...Jared looks SO handsome!! He looks so much younger than he is, yet so grown up! The picture of him and his girlfriend is too sweet! I love it!
I very much remember seeing Erica's cabin door. I feel in love with it! I even took a picture of it! That's not the "Color-forms" Mickey that I was referring to though.
So the one I was inquiring about indeed was on Deck 8. I remember exactly where it was, and it wasn't too far from my cabin on Deck 7 (horizontally speaking).

WOOHOO Congrats! I love just sitting and playing on the slots with "free" money for a while!
How fun!
Speaking of Circue De Soleil... has anyone done the show at DTD? Was thinking of doing that file we were down there... but not sure if the boys would like that or not?
Drea - I've seen this show (La Nouba) three times now. They have some really neat stuff that I think the boys would like. They have two guys that do stunts on bikes and they have a really cool trampoline bit at the end. The are other things too that I think they would like. I would say that of all the Cirque shows I've seen (sorry haven't seen that Zumanity one), this was the best for children.
Val - I never did get to the habitat at the Mirage. Technically we were there Wednesday afternoon/evening, all day Thursday and Friday and left on Saturday to come home. Most of Thursday was spent on a tour bus to the Grand Canyan. We didn't get back until about 9PM so we spend most of that night in our casino (Excalibur) and in the Luxor (since they have an inside walkover). I did get to the Mirage on Friday for the LOVE show but got there in time to pick up my tickets, take some pictures of the theater lobby area and see the show. After the show, I had to meet my youngest DS as we had already planned to hit old Vegas that night.
Kimberly - I saw some packaged paper that first night and thought I'd get it the next day. It was already gone whenever I looked for it. They had some older packages (the one I already had) and then they filled in with resort paper (like why would I want that when I'm on a cruise???). I was really upset that I missed it. That's going to be the first thing I buy on the TA!!! (uh, besides that sailaway drink of course!!!).

I didn't get those kits. I got one of the older ones and wish I had gotten more. I will go to the shops on the first day of my cruise this time!!! I can always use Disney scrapbook stuff.
I've not gotten a Castaway Club kit yet, either. I called and asked for my number a couple of weeks ago because of the other cruise. I keep hoping that stuff will come in the mail. It's been almost 6 months since the cruise (has it really been that long?!), so maybe the stuff will come soon.
Thanks! Yeah, he's a young looking kid and small for his age. I was certainly a proud mom on Saturday, though. :)
I remember that one, but I can't remember who's door it was. Maybe I will go check the thread about it. I know it's on there.

Precisely why I'm going to get that stuff the FIRST day I'm on the boat this time!!! LOL!
Drea - Hey .... do you know where the lanyards were ordered from last time? I'm trying to get all of that together for the Haunted group, and I'm not sure where to get them. I'm hoping we can get them for a good price.

I wonder if Disney is not sending out the Castaway Cay member info anymore since they are really on the "go green" train and also I think they are also on a "no spend"
Couple of examples on this last cruise you now have to ask for napkins at the fast food spots they don't leave them out so you can help yourself also the laundry bags in the rooms use to be plastic now they are cloth and if you take them they charge you $5 Also at the cove they use to have the cup sleeves for hot items and the first couple of days they didn't have any finally around the 3rd day they had some but they were really thin.

Okay - obviously I'm not Drea but I know that Erik actually ordered them. He or Hadley could probably tell you.
