Shaynajade,
The specials do not show up if you just browse the disney website for a quote. You have to call DCL (or your travel agent) and tell them you want FL Res rates and they will quote them to you. I think that there should be a way to do this online but there isn't.

They deals are very affordable and are currently being offered for the late summer.

I saw a flyer hanging up at the travel agency inside our Super Walmart. It said from $899 (inside) for fall sailings and $399 for kids. Not much of a deal compared to the Florida resident rates of the past. You used to be able to get a balcony for that kind of money.

I have found them in advertisements in the Travel Section of the Sunday newspaper several times.

A couple times the ads were from Disney Cruise Line itself and more recently from large agencies, like the AAA South.

It is funny that you post this because just today I emailed DU about florida resident rates for fall. They sent me back saying that the only rates they have as of yet are the july ones and that they usually do not find out about the specials until a few months before hand. I wanted to go on a Halloween cruise, but not if I can't get a discount.

Hope this helps.

That is strange. I saw the flyer last weekend. It could also be a special for non-residents as well. I remember seeing the Florida resident part though. More specific details are at the mousesavers site.
